"To put it simply, I'm researching using deep learning technologies to implement smarter and more precise autonomous driving systems," Yerick explained. Rosalie sat stunned for a few moments before saying, "It sounds very complicated."

Yerick nodded. "It is, because it involves the entire process of gathering and preprocessing data, model building and training, as well as actual application and testing." Rosalie was very interested to hear more.

"Sounds extremely impressive. Yerry, you're really very smart. The future of scientific progress rests on your shoulders."

Yerick scratched his head, feeling slightly embarrassed. "Rose, I feel shy hearing you say that of me. There are many smart people out there."

"You're so humble, Yerry. Can I take a look at your thesis after you're done with it?"

"Of course. If you don't replace it boring, you'll be the first I show it to once I'm done."

Seeing the two of them chatting so excitedly made Sebastian's face grow cold and dark with displeasure.

Do they have so much to talk about with each other?

It's just one lousy thesis. What's so impressive about it?

The way Rosalie looked at Yerick was as if she was looking at a genius in the flesh, as if everything that Yerick did was amazing.

However amazing he was, he was just a brat who wasn't even 20 years old. How amazing could he really be?

All he had was a pretty face that might attract women. For all Sebastian knew, Yerick might be one of those love scammers. Sebastian didn't want Rosalie getting so close to Yerick, but couldn't directly chase him away, or Rosalie would surely get upset. Sebastian stood right there, completely ignored and feeling like he was invisible.

"Sounds like you're going in the right direction, but the actual implementation requires a huge amount of funding," he said.

"Yeah," Yerick said. "It does require a lot of investment, but if things really develop in this direction, I'll prepare detailed documents to raise funds and replace investors. Be it from schools, the government or angel investors, I'm sure someone will recognize a good thing when they see one."

"Yeah, Yerry. You're really smart," Rosalie said with a smile. "I believe that no matter what you do, many people will support you."

"Will you support me, Rose?" Yerick asked sweetly.

Before Rosalie could answer him, Sebastian cut in, "Are you asking Rose to invest in your idea? Is that your objective?"

He knew this man was here for money, scamming people of their money with that pretty face of his.

Sebastian's voice was laced with explosives. Anyone could tell that he sounded extremely displeased.

Yerick blinked innocently. "I... I didn't mean that."

"What did you mean, then?"

"Seb, don't be like this," Rosalie said soothingly. "Yerry didn't actually say that."

Sebastian's brows furrowed. "Rose, you're being too naive and kind. You'll be easily tricked."

Rosalie was about to say something when Yerick cut in. "Rose, don't fight because of me."

Rosalie said, "Yerry, we're not fighting. I apologize to you. Seb shouldn't have said that."

Her words made Sebastian feel uncomfortable. He didn't do anything wrong. Why did Rosalie apologize to that brat?

"It's alright, Rose. I might have said something to make him misunderstand. I meant that I hope you'd support me spiritually and emotionally. How could I make up some random project to ask you for money? Research has its risks, and I can't bear for you to spend money on me. Even if I really wanted to do something, I would replace other investors. Rose, keep your money for yourself and enjoy a good life. Don't let the money go to waste."
