Sydney's face went dark with displeasure when she saw Geoffrey.

She straightened out her clothes, and said, "You father and son are both the same. Geoffrey Carter, do you know what your son did? He wants to kill Rose and see her die on the operating table!" Geoffrey naturally didn't believe Sydney's words. He knew Sebastian, and knew that the latter couldn't possibly want to kill Rosalie.

The red mark on Sebastian's cheek was a clear indication that Sydney had slapped Sebastian.

"There must be some misunderstanding here. Can't you two talk things through properly? There's no need to fight. Syd, Seb is the junior here. Why make things difficult for him?" "What junior?" Sydney scoffed. "He's just a bastard!"

Anger rose in Geoffrey's chest when he heard Sydney curse at Sebastian. Sydney was probably cursing Sebastian all the way, from the sound of their argument just now.

He grabbed Sydney's arm, and threatened, "Sydney Harper, take your words back and apologize to him."

Sydney sneered in disdain, "You want me to apologize to your son? Never!"

Geoffrey suppressed his anger, and said, "Sydney Harper, I'm giving you one chance. It's still not too late to apologize to him. Do it, or you'll regret it."

Sydney flung his hand away. "Regret it? I regret stopping Rose from being with your son! Both of you are bastards. Geoffrey Carter, you've really raised your son to follow in your footsteps." Sebastian clenched his fists. He didn't speak, but glared at Sydney as desolation choked him.

Aside from anger, a strange feeling rose up his chest.

"You..." Geoffrey raised a hand to hit Sydney, but he stopped midair.

Sydney looked up, and sneered. "What, do both of you want to hit me at the same time? Sure, do it! I've slapped Sebastian, anyway. Slap me back, won't you?!"

Geoffrey retracted his raised hand. "I won't hit you. Sydney Harper, you'll regret what you did today."

"Hahaha..." Sydney burst out laughing. "What about your son? What if his decision causes Rose's death?"

"I'll pay for it with my life!" Sebastian yelled, unable to hold his anger back, "Mark my words. If Rose dies on the operating table, I'll die with her and pay for it with my life!"

The moment he made that decision, he already had that in mind.

If he chose to terminate Rosalie's pregnancy, she would surely be in great pain and wanting to die after she wakes up. She would hate him to the core, and would never be with him again. There would be no point in him living.

Yet, if his decision were to cause the death of Rosalie and her baby, he would follow her unto death. Even if they ended up in hell, Rosalie wouldn't hate him, because he had done what she asked for. He and Rosalie would reunite in another realm. Sebastian was betting on the heavens not being so cruel to him, wagering that Rosalie and her baby would both end up safe and sound.

If he won the wager, it would be the best decision he could make. The three of them would live on and stay together as a family forever. He would have kept his promise to Rosalie, and she would trust him even more.

He didn't know how things would turn out. No matter the outcome, he was determined to not be separated from Rosalie.

No one could come in between them, and he would kill anyone who tried!
