TEGAN'S P.O.V

Once she was released from the hospital she insisted on getting some decent clothes.

"I don't understand how we are the same person but so different." Lucy said as she looked through clothes on a rack at a local store.

"Imagen's clothes aren't that bad." I said looking at what she was wearing.

"Gag, this is childs clothes. Come on, you have to agree. We are too old to be wearing whatever the hell this is." She said pointing at the clothes she picked from Imagen's closet.

I couldn't refer to her as Imagen because the Imagen I knew wasn't there, at least not right now. I wasn't sure if she had split personalities but this version wasn't her. So it only felt right to call her by what she asked to be called, Lucy.

"Now this, this is cute." She said holding up a crop top that looked as if it had gone through a shredder. "What, you don't like it?" She then asked. I must've been making a face.

"It's not really my style but if you like it then that's all that matters." I responded with a shrug.

"Pair it with some fishnets, some short shorts, or even a cute mini skirt and some high top boots. EKK, CUTE!" She hollered, making people around us stare. "Got a staring problem, bitch?" Lucy yelled out at the onlookers. "I will fix that ugly f*****g face of yours if you keep looking at me." She said again but this time with her eyes shining bright red, making the girl run off.

"Lucy, that's hardly necessary."

"But it's fun." She replied while wiggling her eyebrows. "Come on, don't you ever use your powers for anything other than training?" She asked as she laid the clothes on the counter to check out.

"I don't see torture as fun." I responded honestly.

"I don't mean torture. I mean like pranking people. Or just to have a little laugh." She responded while grabbing her bag.

"No. I have too much on my plate to try to have fun. I have to be prepared for what's coming."

"Oh. Right. Almost forgot him..." Her voice came out in a joking manner.

"Yeah, and the threat is very real. Not only for my son but for the entire world."

"And how would you know that it's bad? I mean other supernatural beings walk the earth that are a grave threat to humans too." She said with a shrug.

"We are literally talking about demons here. They're far more dangerous to this realm than a vampire."

"Says you. But have you ever met one?"

"I talked to one." I said honestly. "I've been in one's mind. I know how they act, how they work."

"So, no. You just see what he wants you to see. Try meeting one and then we can discuss if they're a grave danger to this world like vampires are."

She wasn't entirely wrong, I haven't met a demon to actually know if they were bad. But in my heart I knew that they couldn't be released. Demon's had no flesh, they were spiritual. Meaning they would have to possess humans to walk the earth. "So, why did Emilia keep you hidden?" I asked, changing the subject.

"Emilia, Emily. Whatever she goes by. But because I was more powerful than she was. She acted like it was to protect me, but she was just jealous."

"She was your mom."

"Yes, and she was a jealous one." She said looking at her phone. "Do you know anyone who is good in bed?" She asked, randomly changing the subject as she put her phone away.

"Excuse me?"

"Oh of course you don't know anyone. You've only been with Ezra, nobody to compare him to. He could be awful in bed, and you'd never even know it."

"He isn't bad in bed. He makes me cum many times over." I responded defensively.

"Well good for you. I need that in my life. I don't know why Imagen wanted to remain abstinent or whatever. But me? I need to be f****d, and I need to be f****d good. Or maybe let off some built up steam. Maybe one of these men will do me right." She said waving flirtatiously at a group of rogues. They began to make their way over.

"Lucy, this is a bad idea. Fredrick would lose his shit if...-"

"Fredrick isn't here to please me, now is he?" She interrupted just as the rogues made it over.

"Hey little ladies, up for some fun?" One with dark eyes asked.

"Will danger be involved?" Lucy asked while biting her lip seductively.

"I can make that happen for you sweetcakes." The man replied.

Lucy looked at me before looking back at the group of 3 men.

"T, go home to your husband." She said not taking her eyes away from the group of men.

"I don't feel comfortable leaving you alone with them." I said truthfully.

Her eyes briefly looked over to me before looking back to them.

"Don't wait up." She said before walking away, the men following closely behind her.

I quickly yank my phone out to call Fredrick. After multiple calls he finally picked up.

-GODDESS DAMNIT! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!?- I screamed, making people nearby stare.

-I've had a lot going on. What's wrong, why are you calling me so much?-

-It's about Imagen, Fred.- I said not really knowing how to explain this to him.

-WHAT HAPPENED!-

-It's bad, I need you here as soon as possible. I can't explain this over the phone but it's urgent. Please hurry!- I basically begged.

The line immediately disconnected, I knew he would be here quickly so I rushed back home.

Within an hour the front door opened with a thud as Fredrick stormed in.

"WHERE IS SHE?" He screamed, making the maids run off terrified.

"She isn't back yet." I replied with sadness in my voice.

"Don't come here raising your voice like that." Ezra demanded, making Fredrick tone back.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be disrespectful. The urgency from the call has me on edge. What's going on, Tegan?" He asked as his eyes left Ezra to look at me. After I had explained everything his face had the expression I was expecting.

"She just took off with three random men?" He asked with a broken voice.

"It's not her, Fred. When she stopped taking the potion something happened. I don't have the answers, goddess I wished I did."

"You promised she'd be safe here." He said as anger began to bubble. "YOU PROMISED!"

Ezra stood between us as he let his aura seep out.

"TONE IT DOWN OR I WILL MAKE YOU!" His voice echoed off the walls sending shivers of pleasure down my body.

"You promised she'd be safe..." Fredrick said again, this time more broken.

"Nobody could have seen this coming, Fred." I said, hoping he'd understand.

"How do I know she isn't somewhere hurt?"

"Me, hurt? As if." Lucy's laughing voice suddenly said.

We all turned to see her leaning against the wall, clothes torn up with blood splattered on her.
