TEGAN'S P.O.V

I paced the floor once we were back in my wing debating on if this was the right course of action. If I called Darion and told him, our father would obviously try coming too. But if I called and demanded his appearance without an explanation he would be livid and come with an attitude. Not that his attitude scared me one bit, I just wasn't sure what the best route was to take.

"I strongly believe you should call him," I said to Fredrick.

"Me? He hates me, that's a bad idea."

"He hates me more," I replied defensively.

"But now you're his queen so he HAS to obey." He replied with a chuckle.

"Doesn't mean he will like it. He may not even answer."

"What if I call?" Helena suggested.

"He was never nice to you, Hell," I said in response.

"Well then y'all can decide but as far as who should call, it doesn't matter. Just do it." She said in her mother-hen voice.

"Fine," I replied, taking my phone out. "What about a text?" I asked looking up.

"Call him, Tegan," Helena demanded.

She was more of a mother to me than my caregiver. She treated me as a mother would treat her own. It didn't take away from the fact that I yearned for my real mother but I definitely had a mother figure at least.

I searched in the contacts until his name appeared on the screen. I made a face before hitting the dial button. The phone rang a few times before going straight to voicemail. The f**k you button. Real classy. "Well, I tried. He is probably off f*****g Jessie." I said with a shrug.

"Oh, Tegan," Helena said as she stuck her hand to her face in disappointment. But it wasn't like I was lying.

"I mean, he may have moved onto her daughter, who knows," I replied with a shrug, making Fredrick laugh.

"Children, stop that," Helena said with a shake of her head.

"What now?" Fredrick asked.

"Now, we wait. I guess."

In the meantime of waiting for Darion to call us back, Kennedy had already been by to see Mom. She was actively talking with her when I made the call, we were just waiting for their session to end. After what seemed like hours Kennedy finally came to our wing to talk.

"Although I can't exactly disclose what was said I can disclose that I agree with the doctor. Some severe torture must've happened. All she kept talking about was hiding her baby and him being found, which you all know about so I am not disclosing anything that hasn't already been said." Kennedy began to explain.

"I realize you have a HIPPA to follow with patient confidentiality but doesn't it void out when the family hired you and the patient is not in the right state of mind?" Fredrick asked, making a good point.

"With us being werewolves, we have a different form of laws than the humans do. I can breach the patient's confidentiality but only if my Alpha or Luna demands it, but nobody else." She said looking from Fredrick to Ezra and me. "Well, go on," Fredrick said, looking at me.

I hated giving commands. I remember the way it felt being Alpha and Luna commanded, the pull and tug of being forced. I didn't want to be that person. Kennedy saw the dilemma in my eyes because that's when she chose to nod her head in agreement with Fredrick. I took a deep breath before speaking.

"Kennedy, as your Luna Queen, I demand you to tell us about every session that you and Marci Declan have. No matter how bad it can be." I felt power rolling off my tongue making me cringe as the effects immediately hit her.

"She spoke about a man who threatened her baby if she left. A dark man who only sought power. At first, I thought she was talking about Iblis and wanting you, Tegan, but then the more she spoke about hiding her baby boy the more I began to realize that wasn't at all what she was meaning. This was years before she was even on Iblis's radar I do believe. She said if he found him then he would destroy him. I never could get a name, just 'terrible man"." Kennedy said, never breaking eye contact.

Something in my mind screamed that she meant my father. But there was only one way to know for sure.

"Thank you," I said to Kenndey as I pulled my phone back out, dialing a number.

"Who are you calling now?" Fredrick asked when the line connected.

-I know you can't talk. But you can listen. You and Darion need to come to the kingdom immediately. If you are not here by morning I will come retrieve you myself. When you are here I expect you to be on your best behavior or you'll regret it. We need to talk.- I demanded without hesitation before disconnecting the line.

"Who was that?" Ezra asked, now concerned.

"My father," I responded without any emotion in my voice.

I knew he got the message clear as day. But just to be sure I called Darion and when he finally answered I demanded the same. Not caring if it pissed him off at this point. We needed answers and clearly, we weren't going to get them by standing around with our thumbs up our asses. After a few hours, our guards informed us of their arrival. With my home pack being so far away I only assumed they traveled by air.

I walked down the stairs to see his face, a look of hatred staring back at me. Next to him of course was none other than Jessie herself. Beside her, Darion stood tall as if it made a difference, he was still a coward. Then of course they couldn't come without Miss Priss herself, Allie.

"Welcome. It's late so I will have the maid escort you all to your rooms, where you will remain for your stay. Tomorrow we will have a family meeting before I disclose some interesting information you will definitely want to hear." I said, making Allie roll her eyes in response.

"You, holding a family meeting?" Allie replied with a sneer. "You were never allowed to be a part of any other family affairs. What makes you think you can suddenly be a part of a family meeting now?" Her smart remark sent Gemma wild in my mind. "I'm sorry, let me be more clear here. You Allie and Jessie were not invited to come, therefore, you will not be a part of the meeting. I expect to see my father Drake and my brother Darion in the meeting hall at 7 am sharp. You and your mother can remain in your rooms for all I care, you are not invited to the meeting. Are we clear?"

"She can't do that, can she?" Allie's dumb ass asked her mom.

"She can and she will. As your Queen, I suggest you start biting your tongue unless, of course, you want to end up like dear ole stepdaddy over there. Bonus? Tegan won't even have to do the honors, I would love to do it for her." Lucy said as her eyes shifted to black as she twirled a knife between her fingers for dramatic effect.

Allie immediately shut up.

"Good puppy," Lucy said, taking a jab.

"Follow the maids to your respective rooms and I will see you two tomorrow," I said looking at my father and Darion before turning to walk away.
