TEGAN'S P.O.V

Gasps could be heard all around the ballroom. I pushed Uriah's body to get him off of me.

"NO, LIAM. NOT AGAIN!" Kiera screamed out as the black smoke evaporated.

A moment later, Lucy took the opportunity and rammed her fist into Kiera's chest.

"This is for killing one of my best friends, you b***h!" Lucy hollered just moments before ripping her hand from Kiera's chest cavity. Encased in the palm of her hand was none-other than a heart. Kiera's limp body fell to the floor with a thud. Wait, did she just say Liam?

I looked over at Uriah's body. He was laying motionless on the ground, his chest heaving up and down with each deep breath he took. "Uriah?" I asked, unsure how to feel at this point.

He was possessed by not any ordinary demon. He was possessed by Liam. And I had no clue. I figured when I met someone possessed I would get a feeling and be able to sense if it were them or not. But I didn't. Actually, I didn't even consider the possibility of him being possessed

"STOP FIGHTING!" 1 demanded all the wolves that were still trying to tear each other's throats out.

Every one of them immediately stopped, even the ones that were on Liams side.

"I tect you momma." Elias's little voice said.

My eyes shot over to my innocent little boy. How was I the adult, yet he was the one that kept coming to my rescue?

"E, how'd you get here?"

"We were arguing about being a good boy and staying in uncle Fredrick's pack. I told him that we were waiting for momma to come back. He insisted that you needed him.

Saying the booboo man had his riah. None of it made sense, but I played along."

"That doesn't answer how he got here, Novalee." I said a little more sternly than necessary. But she brought my kid.

Actually she brought both of my kids to a war zone.

"One minute we were talking about home and how we will come back soon. Then the next we were here. I don't know how we got here."

I looked over at Elias who was beaming with a huge smile on his face.

"E, how'd you get here?" I asked, unsure if he even understood my question.

"Cinderelly. I cinderellied."

"You cinderellied?" I repeated, unsure what he meant.

"Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo. Tada."

Magic. He magically teleported them.

"E, what all can you do?"

"I send booboo man away."

I thought back to the moment his hand touched Uriah's back. Immediately Liam's demonic spirit was forced out of his body. "How'd you do that, baby?"

He looked down at his hands as if contemplating his answer. Maybe I was asking too much of a two year old to know. But I couldn't help myself. "I is a big boy."

A smile crept on my face knowing that he was indeed mommy's big boy.

"You are."

"I tect you."

"You did, baby." answered while pulling him into my arms for a big hug.

"I no baby, I big boy."

"Okay, mommy's big boy protector."

A smile was beaming on his face when a cough grabbed my attention. I looked over to see Uriah sitting up, a saddened look in his eyes.

"Riah! I get you!" Elias hollered while clapping his hands happily.

He had a small smile on his face in response before it quickly vanished.

"I, I'm so so sorry. I don't know how it happened."

"I don't understand why my protection barrier didn't hold up.

How did Liam get in?"

His eyes shot down to his dead mate then back to me.

"Lilly."

"Her name is actually Kiera. She was a fraud. A no good fraud."

His head hung even lower. "It was like I was a backseat driver, not able to tell anyone that it wasn't me. Not able to do a thing while he completely destroyed everything we've worked so hard to create." "He didn't win. We won."

"No, you won. I just sat back and watched."

"We can fix this. Correct all the wrongdoing he caused."

"There is no we after what I did."

"You didn't do it, you had no control."

He bit his lip as it quivered, trying his hardest not to break down and cry.

"Iblis. He is here. They let him in. He promised them money and fame. We can't let him get away with what he has done."

"I need his assistance anyway. Where can I replace him?"

"He is waiting for Liam, or I guess me, to come join him in my office."

"Element of surprise. I like it."

I looked over to Novalee who was standing there unsure of what to say or do.

"Nov, I don't have my powers back yet. I need you to seal him in that office. I have some business to take up with him." Novalee shook her head in understanding, before rolling the stroller with the three babies in it to me. "Anything else?"

"I will need you with me when I talk to him. You're the only one who still has powers."

Once she set off to do as she was asked I looked around the room at the remaining people.

"Today, we took back the throne. Tomorrow, we come together and lay our beloved King and all who have fallen to rest."

Everyone was hooting and hollering. Even those who were on Liam's side. Loyalty among wolves falls with the most powerful. By this time tomorrow, everyone will know that I defeated Uriah. But I'll make sure the world knows of the true hero and what really happened. They will know that even as a two year old, their future King was more powerful than the demons themselves.

"Everyone, go home. I will see to it that all the fallen are properly cared for. Tomorrow we will hold a spiritual memorial, releasing all souls back to the Moon Goddess."

Once everyone cleared out, I gave the orders to the remaining on what to do with the deceased. After that was taken care of, I left with a bigger task in mind. I dropped the kids off at the daycare before heading to Uriah's office.

I stood in front of the closed door for a moment, trying to figure out what I was going to say.

"Do come in fiery one. I know you're there." His grumbly voice said.

I opened the door to see him sitting at Uriah's desk, his hands folded in front of him as he stared back at me. The last time I had seen him, he was trying to kill us all before vanishing into thin air. This time, he wasn't going anywhere. "Applause to you for winning the throne back."

"Skip the commentary. I came to ask you a question." I said bluntly before taking a seat in front of him.

He moved his hands as if beckoning me to continue.

"I want to discuss the ruler of the dead."

"If you wanted to ask me out, all you had to do was say so, your highness."

I growled in response.

"I'm not playing games here, Iblis."

"Neither am I. I'm flattered, really. But wouldn't your brother think its, I don't know, a little weird that his baby sister wants to date his father?"

I closed my eyes for a moment to gather my senses before opening them once again to speak.

"Tell me about Josiah. Where can he be found?"

His face faltered as if nobody had dared speak of his name before.

"You don't want Josiah."

"If I didn't then I never would've asked."

"He is the root of all that is bad."

"Then what does that make you? His vine?"

A vein on his forehead throbbed from my comment before he recomposed himself.

"Aren't you supposed to fetch your master anytime someone asks about him?" I asked sarcastically.

"How could you possibly know any of that?"

"I didn't come to answer your questions, Iblis. I came for answers. Now fetch me your master. Call upon Josiah."

I could see fear in his eyes as he pulled out this map. His eyes scanned the document before he pulled out his phone.

It rang only once before the line connected. But nothing could be heard other than silence.

"You've been summoned, my lord." Iblis spoke with a shaky voice, fear evident in his tone.

That was all that was said before the line disconnected and he looked back at me.

"Put on your dancing shoes, because you're going to be dancing with the real devil now." How much worse could dealing with Josiah actually be?
