TEGAN'S

P.O.V

I was certain that who I saw was Josiah. I had this familiar feeling deep inside. Surely he wouldn't show up just to leave without saying a word to me, right? I kept looking for him as the guests all started to leave.

Another round of I'm so sorry for your loss! given out. I had every intention of leaving early to avoid that. But how was I to leave knowing that Josiah was there?

After everyone had left, there was still a man seated inside, the last person in the room. But it wasn't him.

"Sir, the memorial has ended. Is there something I can help you with?" I asked as I made my way over to him.

He sat still, not moving a muscle in the slightest.

"Sir?" I asked as I patted his shoulder.

His eyes connected with mine, they had almost looked glossed over.

"Sir, are you okay? Do I need to call for help?"

"Meet me at the underground club, ALONE. I will be the one in the shadows. Wear something nice." The man said before his eyes began to clear up. Quickly turning back into his normal dark brown color.

"Um, Luna Queen, Ma'am?"

"Huh?" I asked in a daze.

"My shoulder hurts."

I looked down to see I had tightened my grip on his shoulder, without any memory of doing so.

"Oh, sorry." I replied while letting go

The man looked around the room once I released him.

Confusion taking control of his facial expression. "The memorial is over. Hell, I must've fallen asleep. " He then said as he looked up at me, his expression immediately changing as he realized what he said out loud. "f**k. I'm sorry, Luna Queen." When I didn't respond, he spoke again.

"So... I'm just gonna go...Sorry again for your loss, Luna." He muttered before dashing out of the ballroom as fast as he could.

I sat there a moment longer taking in what had just happened. Josiah must've bewitched the man before the memorial ever started. Either way, his message was received.

"What was that all about?" Novalee asked while I made my way to the elevator in order to change.

"T, who was that? Was that him?"

Yes... No?

"No." I answered honestly.

"Well, then what was that about?"

"You're just going to have to trust that I will tell you later.

Okay?" "But-"

"Can you watch my kids for a few hours tonight? I have something I need to do." I asked, cutting her off before she could dig deeper.

"I mean I guess. But what do you have to do?"

"Nov, please stop asking. I promise I will fill you in. But he asked to see me alone."

"So it was him!"

"No, it wasn't him per se. It was a man who held his message."

"I have to come."

"No. He said I have to come alone. We can't risk upsetting him. So everyone will stay put. I will go alone."

"Um no. We do nothing alone, are you kidding?" Lucy said as she joined the conversation.

"I will go alone. I'm not kidding." I demanded before walking away, ending the conversation.

"Fine ALONE you shall go then." Lucy screamed back at me.

"What? No! She can't go alone. He is too dangerous."

Novalee replied to Lucy.

But it was too late, the decision was made. I was going alone. The conversation ended as the elevator door closed, shutting them out on the other side.

I rummaged through my clothes. Got all dolled up, something I definitely haven't done in ages. I decided to wear one of Ezra's favorites. Sporting an emerald green skin-tight dress with the slit up the thigh, paired with some gorgeous silver pumps. I had my hair in a nice updo and a complete face of makeup

"You look nice." Lucy muttered.

"And you look- Surprisingly comfortable." I replied taking in her appearance.

She wore a bathrobe and some slippers.

"Well, you don't want to keep him waiting, now do you?"

She then asked while escorting me out.

It took me less than fifteen minutes to arrive at the stupid bar. I hated the place, never a single good memory there.

Why choose this place of them all?

I entered just as someone blew out a big puff of smoke.

Once the smoke evaporated and the room was clear again I began to look around for the eyes that could never be forgotten. Not because they attracted me, but because they were the same as my boy's mesmerizing eyes. Only this man's eyes were the opposite colors. His right eye was green, whereas Elias was blue. Then his left eye was blue, whereas Elias's was green. It was as if each of them had the other's eye. It was creepy honestly

I looked around the room for a dark area, landing in a spot that sent shivers down my spine. I couldn't see his silhouette, but I just knew that he was sitting there.

I made my way over, half expecting to be stopped. Except the bodyguard made no sudden movements to do so. Once I entered the VIP area waves of goosebumps ran up and down my body.

"Sit." A deep yet enthralling voice spoke.

I did as I was told and took a seat.

"Why have you summoned me?"

His voice was transfixing and I wasn't sure that it was in a good kind of way either.

"I need your help."

"My help costs."

"I have money. I can pay."

"Nobody said anything about money."

His words made even Gemma shudder with fear.

"Name your price." I then said confidently.

"I didn't realize we were negotiating here."

"Everything is always a negotiation when you're dealing with the Queen."

He laughed. He fvcking laughed! Here I was trying to sound confident. Like I was the one in control of the situation.

Even though I was shaking to my core in trepidation and he laughed in response.

"Tell me more about this Ezra you spoke of. Over a dance?"

"I don't dance."

"You will if you want me to consider helping you."

I bit my lip, pissed off that he was the one controlling the reins here.

"Come dear, come dance with the devil."

He reached out from the darkened shadows. Displaying an olive toned large veiny hand that was very well kept. I let out the breath that I hadn't realized I had been holding before placing my small hand into his huge one.- "One dance." I then said as he stood up, leading me to the dance floor.

"If you say so, your highness." He responded sarcastically.

He led the way to the dancefloor, never turning around for even a peak. My curiosity was at its highest, wanting to see his face up close. He pulled my arm to the side of him, before lifting it in the air twirling me in a circle. When the spinning stopped we were now face to face and I could feel my heart skip a beat. He was magnificent. Different from anyone I had ever laid eyes on. Built, strong, and his face, his face was drop dead gorgeous. A darkness that pulls you in, making you desire more. The true definition of a god. Or better yet, should I say the true definition of the devil.

"So little one, tell me a story. Who murdered you mate?" He asked, pulling me against his firm body.

His voice didn't sound the slightest sincere, it sounded more gruff and jagged around the edges. If I were asked to describe him in one word, it would be dangerous. A darkness even I wanted to submit too, but never would.

After spilling what happened he looked almost intrigued.

He asked more questions, to which I gladly answered. That was until we finally got to why I called for him. The death curse. He didn't seem in the least bit surprised. As if this wasn't the first time he had ever heard of this.

"I tell you what, I will give you exactly what you need in exchange for one thing."

My heart was pounding against my chest.

"What is it?"

Please don't be Elias. There was just no way he knew about him.

"I want Sibil. Alive. You give me her and I'll give you however much blood that little girl will ever need."

He wanted me to replace someone who was able to remain hidden from me for seven months?

"You have yourself a deal."

I know I was agreeing to something that could possibly be impossible, but here we were. I was determined even more to replace her this time. Major personal reasons. Once I have found her, because I am GOING to replace her, he'll get the b*a*h. But I couldn't promise she'd be in the best state, physically. However, she would be alive, just as he had requested.
