EZRA'S P.O.V

Once Elder Jackson was dealt with, we proceeded with the plan.

"We have one week to get this done." Uriah stated.

"Which means, we attack Kirk tonight. And go straight to Liam next. We cannot take the word of Jackson, he was useless, he didn't even know what they were planning which means his timeline could be wrong." I stated.

"At least we got one important information out of the old man. Liam plans to cut Helga out of the plan." "She won't take kindly to that news." Helena stated next.

We left the dungeon; I instructed a guard on what to do with Jackson's body. I gathered up some troops as well as Cass, our royal witch. Cass was good, but Helena was better which is why she helped with Jackson and not Cass. She was beyond powerful, even born as a half-bred. She knew magic beyond anything I have saw Cass do. The more magical beings we had on our side, the better. We still didn't know Helga's plans, nor if she had anyone from her own coven or any other dark arts witches on her side. "If anything, Helga likes to act alone, it's her greedy nature. Liam was just a pawn to her game of chess. Any other witch in or out of the coven would know better than to work with her." Helena continued to explain as we walked to the grounds where the others were instructed to wait for us.

'If all goes as planned, we will have mate back soon! Kingston cooed in my head.

'Let's just hope she is in a forgiving mood. I replied.

I couldn't wait for her to come home and see all I have been working on for her. She was still legally my wife. There was the rejection but without the acceptance it wasn't completed. Therefore, all I had to do was remark her and our bond would be reestablished. I didn't expect it to all happen overnight, but I was hoping now that Liam isn't in her ear to accept my rejection then we could rebuild what I destroyed.

As we got to the grounds, I had multiple guards ready to go. I selected 20 warriors that I knew would benefit our team. The rest will remain here to protect the kingdom while we go on our rescue mission.

Nighttime was nearing which meant we had limited time to get in and out undetected. Our pack zeroed in on the target, the witches blocking our scent to help from being detected. As we entered the pack his guards were dusted with the sleep dust. I didn't want any harm coming to the guards, they are only doing their duties. My real target was Kirk and his bitch of a daughter Lydia. The outside was quiet. Almost too quiet, which was a good thing but then again made me question what was going on. It was nightfall but even then, our favorite time for runs is under the moonlight so with nobody in sight made me wonder what was going on.

I made my way to the packhouse where I knew Kirk resided. I had been here countless times over the last few years, I knew this pack like I knew my own. Upon entering I could hear the hollers of woman as they begged for mercy.

"You were out past curfew, what do we do to those who do not follow my commands!?" I could hear coming from the voice I had come to hate.

"Please Alpha, I just needed to get groceries. My shift ran later than normal, and we had nothing at home. My kids will go hungry." The woman pleaded.

"That is not my problem. The rules are set and what I say goes, so I will ask again. What happens to those that deliberately disobey my commands!?" He roared.

"Alpha I just... -" The woman pleaded before a smack sounded out followed by a whimper.

"You get a beating and whatever else I may want. Now take your pants off!" He screamed, making my blood boil.

"Please Alpha, my mate just passed away on a mission you ordered. I am doing this all alone and I am still adjusting. Please it won't happen again. Please don't do this." The girl begged as the sounds of a buckle shaking was heard.

"Do as you are told! You won't disobey my orders again, pull them down. NOW!"

What kind of Alpha ruled like this? He needed to be stopped. He will be stopped.

'The kind that needs to be put down!' Kingston yelled in my head.

I looked around at the others listening to the same thing. Uriah's eyes flashing with hatred, however, waiting for a command on the next move.

'We will storm in. I don't detect anyone other than Kirk and the young lady. Tanner, you get the girl out safely. Uriah and I will handle the prick. Lamar you will come with us, bringing what you have. Everyone else stand guard outside the office and outside of the pack house as planned. Watch for any sign of an attack or something unusual. Understand?' I mind linked to my members that had come with me.

'GOT IT!' I heard from multiple people.

I stuck my pointer finger upward then down at the office door signaling the three who I instructed to come with to follow my lead.

I kicked the door in as he began to pull his pants down. The girls face full of both terror and relief. Tanner rushed in grabbing her, reassuring her that she was okay that we were here to save her.

"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS, I DID NOT AUTHORIZE YOU TO BE ON MY LAND!"

"I am the king; this is MY LAND!" I roared.

"I was found innocent; you cannot do anything to me! Elder Jackson will have your crown for this!" Kirk screamed.

I stuck my finger in the air above my shoulder signaling Lamar to step forward.

'Drop it at his feet.' I told him in mind link.

A thud sounded out as Lamar dropped the corpse of Elder Jackson at Kirks feet. As I had instructed him on doing.

"Nobody, and I mean NOBODY will have my crown." I screamed, my eyes reflecting Kingston as he pushed forward.

Kirk quickly moved to his desk as he hit a button. Uriah stormed him, pinning him by his neck, his feet dangling off the ground.

"Any last words you coward?" Uriah spat out.

"You're too late, they already know!" Kirk screamed out.

I looked over to the desk, the panic button he pushed must have immediately alerted them.

"Kill him, we have to move quickly!" I yelled out.

"My pleasure." Uriah responded as his claw extended. Slicing Kirk's neck open, blood gushed out before he let him go, his body hitting the floor with a thud.

'Lamar, remain back until I return, kill the Beta if he gives you any issues. Everyone else, let's move on out!' I mind linked as we all rushed out.
