EZRA'S P.O.V

Once we made it to the van Uriah was there pacing back and forth.

"Please don't let him near me." Lilly begged. Which broke my heart in more ways than one.

"Lilly will need to be in the van transporting Tegan and Elias because they all need medical attention. The rest will break off into separate vans." I said as the pack gathered to load up.

"I want to ride with them." Uriah said.

"As do I. But what's best for them is Helena. Am I right Helena?" I said looking over at her.

"Right." Helena said getting into the van.

"But they need someone to protect them." Uriah tried reasoning.

"Helena can do that." I said as I placed Lilly in the van.

"It's for the best Uriah." Tegan said placing her hand on his shoulder. "She has been his hostage for years where she was tortured by her first mate. If you want to win her, you must do what you don't want to do. Give her space, give her time. It's a lot for her right now." She said as she walked away also getting into the van.

Her words sticking in my head. Tegan has also been through a lot and maybe I needed to give her time to accept me again as well. But space was no longer an option. I tried that route already and look where it got us. However, what she said made me feel like she was also speaking to me.

"Load up!" I hollered out to the remaining of my pack members who had come.

Once on the road I decided to call Lamar to see what all happened back at Kirk's pack. I anointed him leadership until the Beta appeared and if the Beta was worthy then to pass the pack to him. The phone rang once before the line connected. 'Alpha King, is everything okay? Is Luna Queen safe?'

"All is fine now. How is everything there?"

'The Beta acts as if he had no idea what Kirk was doing!

"And do you believe him?" I asked.

'I am not sure.'

"Okay, remain there in leadership until I can summon him. Once I am back at the Kingdom, I will summon a meeting with the Beta, and we will determine if he is worthy or not. Until then do your best. It will be over within a few days." 'Yes, Alpha King.

"We will speak soon." I said before disconnecting the call.

We sat in silence for a while before Uriah spoke.

"What are we doing with this?" He said shaking the jar that contained Liam's body. A wicked smile crossing my face.

"I will put him into an hourglass."

"What for?"

"It will be my wicked way of allowing him the opportunity to make decisions."

"How?" Uriah asked confused.

"He will act as sand. I will use it as a determination of what will happen. Basically, I will give a time limit to whoever needs punished to get something done. Once his ashes are all on one side, if they haven't completed what was asked of them, they will get whatever punishment was determined."

"And if they complete it before the ashes run out?"

"Then they will be pardoned."

"Why?"

"I already given time limits, this is just my cruel way of showing I am the one and only King."

"But they wouldn't know it was Liam?"

"No, but I will. I do plan to tell one person though." I said as a smile spread across my face. "Who?"

"Lydia. Once she is captured, I will give her a time limit to bring me Helga."

"She isn't going to be able to do that."

"I know." I said laughing. "But what a bittersweet way to punish her for her crimes." I said already anticipating her reaction.

"And I thought I was cruel." Uriah said laughing.

We had been on the road for a while when King started to become restless.

'What's wrong King?' I asked while looking in my rearview mirror at the van behind me. The van that had Tegan and Elias.

'Something isn't right.' He replied while pacing in my mind.

'Tegan look's okay!

'Not them. Something else!

'Like what?' I asked as we pulled into the road leading to the Kingdom Pack house.

'Not sure yet.

The closer we got, the more restless he became.

"Something isn't right." I said out loud when a scream echoed in the woods. I slammed on my breaks not liking the sounds I could now hear.

"What was that!?" Uriah screamed.

"The Kingdom is in danger." I said as I got out, I rushed over to the van behind mine, Tegan's face was already pale.

"What is going on?" She asked.

"I think we are under attack. I want this van to remain back. We will go ahead and clear the way. By no means do any of you get out. Helena, I want you to make the van invisible while concealing all of your scents. Do not make a sound." I said as she shook her head. "I want to help." Tegan tried saying.

"You're in no shape to fight right now, Tegan. Please stay here and protect our son." I begged praying she would listen.

It was like an instant understanding when I said our son. Her entire demeanor changed. She sat back down and shook her head in agreement.

"Helena, do it now." I said as she started murmuring words. The van instantly disappearing like they were never there.

'I HAVE REASON TO BELEIVE THE KINGDOM IS UNDER ATTACK; EVERYONE FILE OUT AND FOLLOW YOUR TRAININGS.' I mind linked to the members who came with me.

"What about them?" Uriah asked terrified.

"They will be fine. Right now, our Kingdom needs us." I replied as I stuck my hands up in the air signaling everyone forward.

I shifted into Kingston as everyone else followed suite. We would be traveling on foot. It was faster and more efficient, especially if we were under attack.

When we got closer, we could hear the fighting as a battle had already been in action. Once we arrived, there were bodies everywhere. Both our members and some who were not. The entire place was chaotic with wolves fighting.

I jumped into the air snatching the first wolf who did not belong, they were targeting a smaller wolf, one who was defenseless. I ripped their throat right out as my growl echoed all around. immediately stopping most in their tracks, others cowering in submission. Kingston stood around 5 foot tall, which was taller than most wolves. Alphas tend to be around 4 foot tall, whereas others are smaller. Kingston, however, was much larger due to him being the Alpha King.

I stood on all fours growling, my teeth showing with each growl. A wolf across the way growled out, challenging me. I instantly recognized him as Liam's beta, Gabriel.

'KILL THEM ALL. I WANT THIS PACK ELIMINATED. ANY MEMEBERS REMAINING ON THEIR LANDS MAY SEEK REFUGE BUT ALL OF THE WOLVES HERE, DIE!' I mind linked my pack as chaos broke out once more.
