Chasing My Rejected Luna -
Chapter 83
EZRA'S P.O.V
I wasn't sure what to do, my wolf just pissed on my mate in an animalistic way. I was more embarrassed than anything. I wanted to win her back, and this animal territorial shit wasn't going to help. "I didn't know he would do that." I said, hoping she believed me.
"How did you not know?"
"It was a last minute decision that he didn't think about until he was doing it. I am so sorry." I replied honestly.
"I guess at least he didn't hump me." She said as she let out another sigh.
'I wanted to, she just got all mad. That was next for sure! Kingston piped up as I shook my head in disbelief.
"What?" Tegan asked, as I shook my head.
"Nothing."
"No, what did he say?" She asked, pushing a little more.
"He thought about it." I replied, sugar coating it.
"I'm sure."
"Let's get you home so you can get cleaned up." I said as I grabbed her bag off the ground for her.
"How long will dog piss take to not make me smell of dog piss?" She asked.
'I am a wolf' Kingston said with his head held upwards sassily.
"I don't actually know. I've never pissed on anyone or been pissed on."
"Lucky you." She replied sarcastically.
"I am sorry." I said again, hoping she believed me.
"It's fine, Ezra. It's not like I haven't been pissed on before." She said, making me let out a possessive growl.
'Who else marked territory on my mate!?' Kingston roared in my head.
I closed my eyes trying to calm him down. Pissing on someone was either an act of claiming territory or an offensive message. I was not okay with either of those. "Who else?" I asked through gritted teeth.
"Are you jealous?" She then asked with a laugh.
"Should I be?" I asked, looking at her as we both came to a halt.
"Nope." She then replied before continuing to walk forward.
"Then who was it and why?"
"He wasn't a wolf, at least not a wolf yet." She said with a chuckle.
"He who?" I asked again, getting a little agitated.
"Your son did, when the cold wipe touched him while changing his diaper. Boys do that, you know." She said with a full on laugh, which made me instantly feel like an idiot. "I knew that." I said looking to the ground in embarrassment for the second time within minutes.
"Sure. You looked like you wanted a pissing contest there for a moment. Almost like you were going whip it out to piss on me too." She replied laughing even more than before. "I wouldn't do that."
"I wouldn't put it past you." Tegan said before changing the topic. "So, what else were you wanting, Ezra? I know you didn't just want to train with me."
I was hoping to ask her for a favor while she was in a good mood after training. At least before King pissed all over her. Now I wasn't sure she would help at all.
'I don't regret it, she smells glorious!' King said in my head.
'She smells like piss, King. I replied to my arrogant wolf.
'Not just any piss, MY piss. He replied happily, as if that made a difference.
"Earth to Ezra." Tegan said, bringing me out of my conversation with Kingston.
"Right. So you know of the formal Winter Ball, right?"
"Yes. What about it?"
"Well, the Queen arranges that event. The event date is set to occur in two weeks, on Christmas Eve."
"And let me guess, you want to know if I will go with you." She replied sassily.
"I mean, that would be wonderful too." I said, smiling at her confused face.
"Okay, so if that wasn't the question. What is it?"
"Well, with you still being my wife and you're living in the Kingdom then technically speaking the event planning is up to you. Plus, my mom is leaving." "WHAT! Why am I just hearing of this!"
"I didn't know my mother was leaving until before I came to see you. I only just found out myself that she is leaving it to me to plan since you are not in the acting role of the Queen. So I worked up enough courage to ask if you would help me plan the ball." "Nothing has been done at all?"
"To my knowledge, no."
"And there is only two weeks to plan this massive event?" Her face scrunching up with her question.
"Yup. Andto top it off, I have no eye for planning. I wouldn't even know where to start." I replied as she let out a sigh. "If you're not up for it, I am sure I can hire an event planner to assist me. I would spend countless hours of working alongside them and I wouldn't have time for anything else but that was a last resort plan since they don't know the Kingdom Balls like a Queen would."
"Maybe that's not a bad idea." She said, dropping her shoulders.
"Okay, that's fine. I know the perfect person. She has an impeccable eye for planning and we get along well, so working alongside her day and night wouldn't be hard." "Her, as in a female?"
"Well, most party planners tend to be females. Plus, I've known her for ages."
"Old friends?"
"Yeah, something of the sort."
"What's that mean?" She asked, now eyeing me.
"She was an old girlfriend from my high school days."
"Girlfriend?"
"Yeah, but she is professional and very good so we have nothing to fear, she'll do great."
"And you both will be working side by side, day and night?"
"With only two weeks until the ball, we would have to. Everything has to be perfect." I replied.
"And Lilyanna wanted you to request me?"
"Yeah, she said you have a magnificent eye. Which is why I asked you first. But I completely understand if you're not up for it, which is why I had my back up plan."
"It's fine. No sense in spending unnecessary money on a planner when I can do the job free of charge. And better."
"You think you can out plan an event planner?" I asked with a chuckle.
"I sure can."
"Well, then it's set. We start tonight. Every minute counts. Especially when you are left with me as your partner."
"Sure, we can start after Elias is in bed."
"Sounds like a date."
"Not a date, a partnership." She retorted.
"I'll see you in the ballroom tonight then." I said while parting ways with her to go get the folder mom gave me for the planning.
Of course I had a back up plan if she said no, there was no way I would be able to plan such an extravagant event on my own. I may have made it out more than what it was with the extra details. Mostly wanting to gauge her reaction but also I knew if I gave her something to compete against she couldn't refuse.
Saying the next two weeks would be intense was an understatement in itself.
