Chapter 164

Meanwhile, a few minutes after Brandon left the room, Hannah stood up from the bed and went to take her bath. After which, she put on a simple dress and walked out of the room. She walked to her children's room and it was empty. The room looked so scattered.

They had thrown their toys in the corner of the room. Hannah sighed softly and picked up the toys from the ground, put them in their places, and arranged the room.

After which, she walked out of the room and went downstairs, where she met Jessica speaking to one of the maids.

The maids were back from their leave.

"Hey," Jessica muttered the moment she saw Hannah and walked towards her. She smiled at Jessica.

"Where's the octuplets?" Hannah asked

"Oh, they went out with Brandon just now. He said he was taking them to buy ice cream" Jessica said and Hannah nodded in response.

"How about mom?" She scrutinized the whole place as everyone was busy in the house. The party was tomorrow and the house helps were all making sure everything was in place.

"She's in the kitchen," Jessica said and Hannah nodded and walked inside the kitchen, where she met Arianna dishing out dinner. She decided to support her.

She helped her serve dinner on the dining table and it wasn't long before Brandon and the kids arrived. They all sat at the table as they ate together.

Hannah smiled inwardly, she felt like she had a happy family, which was one thing she had always wished for, not knowing something big and bad was about to happen.

"The party, everyone is gonna put on a mask, I just want something unique," Jessica said and everyone stared at her.

"I think it's a good idea" Hannah chipped in and Brandon sighed. Even if he wanted to say no, he could not oppose his wife.

Meanwhile, Jeff had gotten home with his swollen face. He planted a soft knock on the door and the door flung open revealing Rosa.

"Jeff, what happened to your face?" She asked as she stared at his face which was swollen and red, and there was blood on his nose.

"I'm fine," he said as he staggered inside the house.

"Are you drunk again?" Rosa asked and Jeff laughed.

"You... you, you ruined my life and I hate you so much" she yelled at Rosa and moved towards her.

Just as he was about to hit her, he fell and hit his head on the ground making him lose consciousness.

"Jeff.... Jeff..." Rosa yelled and David, who was upstairs and had heard Rosa screaming, ran out of his room and went downstairs where he met his daddy lying unconscious on the ground. "Daddy!" He yelled and rushed towards Jeff.

"Call the ambulance" Rosa yelled at the maid who was shivering and staring at them. Meanwhile, Rosa and David are seen in the hospital ward, watching the doctor treat Jeff. They had a worried look on their face. When the doctor was done, he turned to them. "Doctor, how is he?" Rosa asked

"He's going to be fine. He's suffering from concussion, he just needs enough rest while he takes treatment, he will be fine" The doctor said and Rosa nodded and heaved a sigh of relief.

The doctor took some files he had brought in and walked out of the ward. Rosa stared at Jeff and then sat beside him on the bed while he carried David on her body and made him rest his head on her chest. It wasn't long before David fell asleep.

Tears gathered in Rosa's eyes, whatever was happening to her son, it was all her fault. Jeff was right, she ruined his life.

Jeff was happy with Hannah in the past but her greediness took over and she decided to ruin their life by killing Hannah's baby and tried to kill Hannah too.

She was the one who plotted everything with Rhoda to throw Hannah out of their house. If she hadn't done those evil things then, her son would have been happy,

She blindly stripped his son's happiness and didn't think of how it would end. Now she regrets everything she's done, she wishes she could go back in time and correct all the mistakes she had made.

Her son hates her now for ruining his life and lying to him about his real father.

She wished she could make everything right again, but she felt it was already too late. More tears kept slipping down her cheeks.

David who was asleep felt a drop of tears on his face, he opened his eyes and stared at his grandma.

"Grandma, are you crying?" He asked and Rosa smiled and quickly wiped her tears.

"No honey, I'm okay. I'm perfectly fine" Rosa said and David nodded.

"Stop crying grandma, Daddy is going to be fine," David said and Rosa nodded in response with a smile on her face.

"I hope so," she muttered.

It was morning and Hannah had woken up feeling so tired. She put on her sleeping dress and went downstairs to get coffee.

She walked inside the kitchen and made coffee for herself then walked out of the kitchen and sat on the dining table.

She took a sip of her coffee while staring into nothing.

"Hey, are you alright?" She heard a voice ask. She raised her head and saw Arianna staring at her.

"Good morning Mom" she greeted with a smile on her face.

"Good morning honey, I hope you slept well," Arianna asked and Hannah smiled.

"Yes, mom," she said in response.

"Honey, is everything alright? You look so lost just now" Arianna asked and Hannah went silent for some seconds before she finally spoke.

"Nothing Mom, I just woke up having this weird feeling. I don't know, maybe because I'm stressed because of work" she said, trying to shake off whatever she was feeling. "What feeling honey?" Arianna asked and Hannah sighed before she spoke

"I just have this feeling that something bad is about to happen"
