Comeback Of The Adored Heiress -
Chapter 431
Chapter 431:
Josie didn’t know how to stop Dane anymore. She was utterly shocked. She had assumed Dane was merely toying with Susan and that once he saw Susan’s lack of utility, he would leave her. But to Josie’s surprise, Dane was genuinely committed to Susan. They were planning to get married. Now, what was she to do?
Josie had turned down numerous suitors over the years, holding out for Dane because she believed he was the only one worthy of her. And now, he was no longer available.
Slowly regaining her composure, Josie glared at Susan’s departing figure, her eyes burning with intense loathing. Susan… Josie swore she wouldn’t let her get away with this!
After dropping Susan off, Dane and Madisyn headed home as well.
Before heading to bed, Madisyn spoke with Andrew on the phone while checking on Natural Beauty’s sales. Sales of Natural Beauty products were thriving, consistently climbing. It was the fourth day, and Migge Skincare’s sales had plummeted from one hundred thousand on the first day to just seventy thousand daily. With most customers having received their products by now, numerous reviews had begun to surface online. Jada had likely invested heavily in influencers, as many were singing praises for Migge Skincare.
Yet, a few influencers were also endorsing Natural Beauty. But Madisyn noticed something intriguing. Someone had captured the incident where Josie had made a spectacle at the Natural Beauty store and uploaded it online. It appeared the videographer was an up-and-coming influencer, and the incident had garnered significant attention.
“So that is Josie. I went to the Natural Beauty store this afternoon to buy skincare products and intended to review them. But then I saw this person in the store, slamming Natural Beauty’s products as garbage. I was puzzled at first, but then I realized she was the owner of Migge Skincare. Oh my gosh, the owner of Migge Skincare has no class. After I used Natural Beauty products, I found the fragrance enticing. It is so soothing and pleasant. It definitely feels more luxurious than Migge Skincare. You all should try it!”

The comment section was buzzing.
“Is Josie really that tacky? I’ve completely lost interest in Migge Skincare now.”
“Like I’ve mentioned before, Migge Skincare seems quite arrogant.”
“Their products are really just mediocre. I’ve been using them for a few days now and haven’t noticed any improvements. I’m not sure why there’s such a fuss about Migge Skincare. You see, something getting a lot of praise online is often just because it’s been heavily promoted.”
Madisyn smirked, seeing things play out exactly as she expected.
“Babe, are you heading to bed?” Andrew inquired softly.
“Yeah, you should get some sleep too. Don’t stay up too late,” Madisyn said, realizing it was already midnight.
“Alright, goodnight.”
“Goodnight.”
After they exchanged goodnights, Madisyn fell asleep. The day she met Elaine for breakfast, she discovered that Elaine had also started using Natural Beauty products.
“The fragrance Susan created is really wonderful. I absolutely love it!” Elaine said excitedly.
“Yeah, she’s got a real knack for this,” Madisyn responded, smiling.
“I’m going to tell all my friends about it today! I’ve been using these products for a few days, and the results are impressive. They hold up well against the luxury skincare brands I usually use.”
Madisyn smiled. Naturally, they were excellent—after all, she had developed the formulas herself, and her work was second to none.
They savored their breakfast, enjoying the lovely morning atmosphere.
Josie invited Madisyn out for a meal to show her gratitude for agreeing to collaborate. “You have a real talent for business, which is why I chose you. It’s rare to replace a socialite who thinks independently,” Jada said warmly.
Josie felt genuinely moved. She had finally met someone who truly understood her. “Jada, you really understand me. I thank you enough. Without you, Migge Skincare might have faced bankruptcy.”
Jada smiled. “Without my help, you would have made it. Now, let’s drop that topic and enjoy our meal.” They shared their meal in high spirits.
Josie pulled out her phone. “Let’s check the report from yesterday. We sold quite a lot. The factory even rushed to produce another five hundred thousand sets.”
“That’s impressive!”
“Don’t worry about selling them. We’ve been running low for days now. Yesterday probably added tens of thousands more to the tally,” Josie said confidently, feeling quite pleased about the sales.
She reviewed the sales figures with Jada, noting that 20,000 sets were sold yesterday, but 10,000 were returned. Why were there so many returns?
Josie furrowed her brow and called her assistant. “I was looking over yesterday’s numbers. Why were there so many returns?”
The assistant hesitated. “Many people received their products yesterday, so it’s natural that some returned them.”
Josie pondered for a moment and concurred. With sales so high, a correspondingly high return rate was to be expected. But still, wasn’t it excessively high?
“Okay, how do today’s numbers look?” Josie inquired.
“Today—it’s looking weak, Miss Reed,” the assistant said.
“Why are you hesitating so much? Just tell me directly.” She showed her irritation.
The assistant said clearly, “Today, we only sold a little over a thousand sets, but there have been thirty thousand return requests and they are still coming in.”
