Chapter 301 Doing Good Deeds in Your Name

When Bella returned to Lia's apartment after work, she was shocked at seeing several large cardboard boxes blocking the entrance. She couldn't make sense of what was happening. Just as she was about to call Lia for clarification, a delivery man suddenly appeared. "Are you Bella Jones?"

She nodded. "What are these?"

The delivery man pulled out a delivery slip. "These are things someone asked me to bring to you. Just sign here. I have no idea what's inside. There are quite a lot of boxes." Confused, she signed and brought the boxes inside. Opening them one by one, she found all the clothes Dominic had previously bought for her, every piece still brand new and unworn,

A wave of discomfort washed over her. Remembering Gloriana's provocation, she quickly packed the boxes back up and sent a message to Dominic, "You don't need to send all these clothes to me. They're all new. You should save them for your soon-to-be girlfriend. Our figures are similar anyway."

She felt she had already hinted quite clearly. Since she and Gloriana had similar figures, these clothes would fit Gloriana perfectly.

She expected Dominic not to reply, but to her surprise, he responded immediately, "No need. I'm not that stingy. I'll buy new ones for my next girlfriend."

She nearly choked on her anger. How could he be so unapologetic? She felt guilty about her relationship with Felix, yet he could act shamelessly after doing something wrong.

Or did he plan this from the start with the purpose of revenge and dind't care at all?

Fuming, she packed the clothes into boxes and left them by the door. When Lia returned and saw them, she brought them back inside. "What are you doing? Dominic sent these over for you. Just accept them! If you don't want to wear them, you can sell them for a good amount. They're all brand new!"

Bella didn't respond, refusing to even glance at the clothes.

Suddenly, her phone buzzed again. She picked it up to check and saw a message from Dominic, "By the way, the breakup fee should be in your account now. Check it out."

As soon as she finished reading the message, her phone buzzed again with a notification from her bank. Without taking the time to process the dizzying string of numbers, she called Dominic for the first time since their breakup.

The call connected quickly. She struggled to contain her fury. "I don't want your money! Just to be clear, I'm the one who broke up with you!

"And I'll do whatever I want with those clothes, bags, and shoes you sent since you've given them to me. I've already donated them. Consider it me doing good deeds in your name!"

Even after she hung up, her anger made her tremble.

Lia was torn between laughter and sympathy. "Is it really necessary to get that worked up? But seriously, what happened between you two? Just yesterday, you were crying and sending hin goodbye messages, and today, you're furious with him?"

Bella didn't want to talk, she just wanted to be alone. She returned to her room, lay on the bed, and buried her face in the pillow, tears streaming down her cheeks despite her efforts to hold them back.

After some time, Lia finally coaxed the story out of her and sounded skeptical. "Don't you think Gloriana is intentionally trying to set you up?

"If Dominic was already involved with her, why didn't he speak up when her family got kicked out of Sawyer Manor? She has ulterior motives, and you've fallen for her tricks."

Bella's emotions began to settle a bit. "But when tested Dominic, he didn't deny it..."

Lia scoffed. "You're his ex now. He's probably too mad at you to even want to explain himself. The matter of Dominic and Gloriana getting a hotel room is still questionable. You'll have to decide whether to trust Dominic or that little schemer."
