Doctor Annastacia's Love Scandal -
JC Wakes Up from Coma
Two months have passed since Annastacia returned to Grenada. Her activities at the Wyndham International hospital are back to normal. Busy with ER patients and surgical patients with chronic diseases that require her skills on the operating table.
"Doctor Anna, a traffic accident patient has just arrived. This is the patient's status data," said Nurse Belina while handing over a folder of ER patient status files.
Annastacia read the patient status data and said, "This is a bit difficult, Nurse Belina. Is everything ready in the OK room?"
"Yes, Doc. At OK 2, he is waiting for you," replied Nurse Belina, receiving the patient data folder from Anna's hand.
"Fine, I'm going there now," Anna said rushing into the operating room at OK 2. She changed into her sterile gown and equipment. After she was ready to operate, Anna entered the OK 2 room and saw the condition of the traffic accident patient lying on the operating table.
It turned out to be quite terrible, it seemed that the driver of the vehicle had a hard crash, his face was hit on the left cheek and his forehead was bleeding with a torn wound on the skin. Both legs were badly injured and were likely broken or fractured, Anna surmised. Before starting the operation she saw an X-ray photo of the leg attached to a bright glass box.
"I think the next step is amputation of the left leg. Doctor Ben, what do you think?" Anna asked her colleague an orthopedic surgeon with whom she will be collaborating.
Hearing Anna's suggestion, Doctor Benedict Johnson, who was more senior, nodded his head. "You're right, kid. This man had to lose one of his legs. Nurse Kristein, please inform the patient's family that we will cut the patient's left leg from the kneecap to the toe so they won't be shocked by the postoperative results," said Doctor Benedict.
"I'm afraid that the severe inflammation and secondary infection will worsen the patient's condition if we insist on keeping his lower left leg, Doctor Ben," continued Anna while cleaning the patient's left leg wound with tweezers while the paramedic on duty Olga Collins washed the wound with NS fluid.
The two experienced surgeons collaborated to solve the case on their operating table this morning. The sound of sawing bones that pained the entire OK 2 room was loud when it rubbed against human bones.
After Doctor Benedict finished sawing off the patient's left leg, Annastacia helped tie the blood vessels in the thigh area with micro threads. Her hands were dexterous and she knew what she had to do without Doctor Benedict having to order this and that.
"Doctor Anna, please suture the thigh muscles and the outer skin," instructed Doctor Benedict after he finished working on the amputation of the lower left leg perfectly.
"Of course, Doctor Ben," said Anna and immediately sutured the lower thigh muscle neatly and sterilely.
After Anna's skin stitches were done well, Doctor Benedict said, "You are amazing, Anna. It was a pleasure collaborating with you." Then he also ordered the nurse in charge of the operating room, "Monitor the patient's condition after surgery and report to me when the patient has regained consciousness. See you all, I'm leaving the room now."
"Thank you, Doctor Ben," said Anna, then first checked the surgical patient's vital condition on the heart and blood pressure monitor. Everything was stable, Anna said goodbye to the rest of the OK 2 room before leaving the room. When she returned to the office and checked her cell phone. Anna got a message from Max Brury, her brother-in-law and JC's manager.
'Anna, Jason finally woke up. Do you want to come to LA to see him? He still has a little trouble speaking, but he's awake.' Fill in the W A message from Max.
Anna immediately texted back, "Sure, I'm going to book a plane ticket to LA today, Max. Thank you for telling me.'
Without waiting any longer, Anna ran to the elevator to go up to the 8th floor to tell John the news about JC waking up.
When the elevator doors opened on the 8th floor, John happened to be waiting for the elevator to go down.
"Oohh... Anna, were you looking for me?" asked John when he saw Anna get out of the elevator.
"Yes, John. I just wanted to let you know that Jason has woken up. Looks like I'm going to be booking a plane to LA this afternoon, can you help me sort out my leave for a few days?" answered Anna hastily.
Meanwhile, John was looking at Anna's face, who was so excited to hear the news that the artist had regained consciousness. In his mind, this could be a bad outcome for him if it turns out that JC is fine and still remembers Anna. "Okay, Anna. Get prepared. I'll take you to the Grenada airport whenever you're ready," John replied calmly without showing any emotion.
Annastacia hugged John and then said thank you, they both took the elevator down to the basement floor of the car park. Before going to the airport, Anna wanted to go back to her apartment first to pack her clothes in a suitcase.

The American Airlines plane that Anna was traveling on to LA took off at 03.00 PM Grenada time. It was still summer so the weather in the afternoon looked bright from the window of Anna's plane.
In Anna's mind, she analyzed the information from Max that JC was still having difficulty speaking. The effect is somewhat similar to the early symptoms of a stroke. Indeed, the conditions are similar because initially there was a rupture of a large brain blood vessel. However, Anna believes she has cleared all the blood clots in JC's brain during the last brain surgery.
The neurologist who treated JC should have given him blood thinners so that blood circulation in JC's brain would run smoothly. However, Anna believes her colleagues at St. Petersburg International must have also understood what to do after JC woke up under such conditions.
After several hours in the sky, the plane landed at Los Angeles International Airport. It was late afternoon in LA, with Max, and Jocelyn standing in the passenger arrivals hall waiting for Anna to arrive. Anna's plane number had already been announced for landing a while ago.
Finally, the figure they had been waiting for, came. Jocelyn hugged her youngest sister tightly alternately with Max.
"So how's JC? Is he okay?" asked Anna impatiently to meet JC.
Max and Jocelyn exchanged glances, they found it hard to tell Anna about JC's condition. So, it was Max who tried to tell Anna about it, "Anna, I hope you will be patient and calm. Jason is slowly functioning normally, but ... um... he forgets a lot of things including who he is."
Surprised, Anna covered her mouth with both palms. Tears started to flow from the edges of her eyes and she was sobbing in Jocelyn's arms.
Anna's heart ached so much. Maybe this is the answer to all her struggles so far. She must meet JC immediately if indeed the young man has forgotten her, there is nothing more for her to hope for with their love journey. JC must start another love story with the woman who might love him completely and she must return to John.
