The Love Story is Over

JC's treatment room was filled with flower bouquets and gifts from JC Babes' fans who were very happy to know that their idol had woken up from a coma. The nurses helped handle some of the bouquets to vases filled with water so they wouldn't wither, but because the bouquets kept coming. Finally, the nurses gave up and just put those flowers in JC's treatment room.

Meanwhile, JC looked at the bouquets which were all beautiful without understanding why they sent the gifts and flowers to him. He still kept quiet a lot, not understanding who his true identity was.

Three people entered JC's treatment room, two beautiful young women and a man in his mid-30s who claimed to be the artist's manager who used to take care of him.

"Hi, good evening!" One of the young ladies greeted JC.

JC smiled kindly then replied, "Hi too, who are you?"

The young woman had tears in her eyes as if she wanted to cry in front of JC. However, she held back her tears from falling. "I'm Annastacia Brighton, the surgeon who operated on you and Max's sister-in-law, your manager. It's good to know you've woken up from the coma, Jason," Anna replied without admitting that they used to be lovers.

"Oohh ... well, nice to meet you, Doctor Brighton. Thanks for saving me" JC replied.

Anna hides her deeply hurt feelings because of JC's memory loss condition. She also said, "Are there any reduced body functions or numbness? Or just memory loss? Anything you remember about your previous life?"

"Everything is normal, there are no complaints with my organs. I don't remember anything about my past and my identity. Maybe it takes time to remember everything," JC said emotionlessly as if they were meeting for the first time.

JC took a deep breath. "Unfortunately I forgot everything, people, who I am, and my previous job. Maybe Max can help me remember everything I need to get back to work," JC replied politely to Anna.

Finally, when Anna was satisfied knowing what JC's condition was like. She also turned to Max and Jocelyn. "I'm going back to Grenada tonight Max, Jocy. Please take care of JC until he recovers, we'll talk outside the room later." Then Anna extended her right hand to JC one last time before they parted ways. JC took Anna's hand and shook it warmly.

JC also said, "Thank you for visiting me, Doctor Brighton. Be careful on the road."

With a forced smile as her heart seemed to have been broken, Anna replied, "My pleasure, Jason. Get well soon and get back to singing, your fans miss your voice on stage, you are an amazing popstar. Goodbye!"

Annastacia stepped out of JC's treatment room without looking back. She knows their love story has ended. All the beautiful words that used to be there are only memories. These were all paths of fate that the two of them could not avoid. In the corridor in front of JC's room, she fell to her knees on the floor and started crying profusely. Jocelyn hugged Anna's body, which was shaking with tears. She stroked Anna's head gently.

Anna's situation hurts her feelings, and Jocelyn understood that. However, she thinks this is the best because Anna and JC's relationship has always been a secret relationship full of scandals. How long will her youngest sister have to sacrifice her life just for the sake of being with the pop star?

"Anna, Max and I will take you to the airport. Your decision to return to Grenada tonight is correct. We will help JC forget you. You have the right to be happy with John and also work to be a professional surgeon," said Jocelyn trying to comfort Anna who started to stop crying in her arms.

Max spoke crouching in front of Anna who was still sitting on the floor, "I believe Anna, your love story with John will be much more beautiful. Let Jason go, he will meet another girl who will love him completely. You both have the right to live happily even though you don't have to together."

"Okay, Max. I'm leaving Jason with you. From today I won't contact him anymore, our love story is over. Let's go to the airport now," Anna answered as she stood up from the cold hospital floor.

With firm steps, Anna left the St. Petersburg International hospital. She has decided to move on with her life and bury her love story with JC which is only a short period. A season of love that never tasted so sweet.

The three of them board Max's Tucson to Los Angeles International Airport. Anna was more silent during the trip while looking out the car window, feeling empty.

Jocelyn secretly contacted John via WA message. She said that Anna had decided to forget about JC because of the artist's current amnesiac condition and was going home by night plane from LA to Grenada.

Of course, John, who received such news from his sister-in-law, was very happy. His marriage, which had experienced a period of hiatus due to waiting for Anna's decision regarding her relationship with JC, now has a clear end.

Arriving at the airport, Anna immediately headed to the plane ticket reservation. She was lucky because the night plane to Grenada had not yet departed. In less than an hour, the plane will take off. Anna immediately bought a plane ticket and then went through the ticket check-in process.

After that, Anna waited for the boarding announcement for passengers in the plane departure lounge with Jocelyn and Max. They chatted about Anna's next plans.

"Anna, after this what are you going to do with your marriage to John?" asked Jocelyn probingly.

Anna took a deep breath, her tears had dried. She tried hard to speak. "I think it's best to continue my marriage with John. He's a good man and very sweet, Jocy. Even after so many scandals that he had to face in our marriage, he still loves me," Anna replied.

Max and Jocelyn nodded their heads in agreement. Max was mad at John for shooting JC. However, he understood how John felt as a fellow married man. If he was faced with the same situation, it is likely that he also would do something extreme to the man who took his wife away.

"Send my greeting to John when you get to Grenada, Anna," Max ordered as he patted Anna on the back.

Jocelyn suddenly said, "Anna, when if JC remembers coming back to you, will you take him back as your boyfriend?"

"Hopefully not, Jocy. The condition of total amnesia is as if the brain's memory has restarted like a computer that has been infected with a virus. Jason will start learning everything from scratch again even though there may be times when an amnesia patient's memory returns. I hope he will replace a new love, this time my decision has been made. His artistic status is too difficult to put together with my life as an ordinary girl," said Anna.

The sound of an announcement from the airport loudspeaker notified that the plane bound for Grenada would depart soon and passengers were asked to board the plane.

The three of them hugged each other and said goodbye. Anna waved to Jocelyn and Max before disappearing behind the plane's passenger departure gate.
