Dr. Luna -
Chapter 51
I've found you. The voice from before rasped in her head again.
Lilly straightened up and then turned to stare at the door. Her body tensed as her brows furrowed. She squeezed her hands into balls until her knuckles turned white. Was this the demon bastard who was after her? She was not afraid of him. She was done dealing with him. She did not want to have to look over her shoulder at him. If he wanted a fight, she would give it to him.
You've found me. Congratulations. Only took you over a decade. You must be proud. Lilly quipped back to the voice who spoke to her. She didn't know how she could communicate with him, but she could feel his presence in her mind.
An airy cackle was heard in her head. Good, you have a fighting spirit. You are going to need that.
What the hell do you want? Lilly was digging her fingernails into her skin causing small dots of blood to form.
Why don't you come and replace out. The voice said provokingly.
You sure you want that? If I replace you, I'll kill you. Lilly growled at him promisingly.
Again, his airy cackle was heard. Awe, not the pacifist like your mother, I see.
Lilly mentally snorted in irritation. I have no problem slicing your jugular open and watching you bleed out. In fact, I'd do it with a smile.
Ha ha... good, you will do just perfectly then. Let's play a game. Find me, before I kill the small child I found who wandered outside of your pack borders... oh and if you don't come alone... well, I also am fond of watching someone bleed out.
Lilly bit the inside of her cheek. She tasted the irony liquid as it seeped out into her mouth. Last time he didn't come alone, and he probably didn't come alone this time as well. She was banking that she could take the demon on one versus one... but not a band of others with a demon. Damn, it was a trap. She knew it was a trap, but she wouldn't risk a child's life.
Tick tock princesssssssss. The voice hissed out and dragged on the sound of the s.
Don't go alone! Suzaku ordered. Lilly was trying to focus on anything. She knew Tyler was busy fighting and was probably too busy concentrating on his fights to be bothered with her mild fluctuations. She didn't want to alert him. Suzaku was wrong. She had to go alone. She could not risk an innocent life just for her own safety. Suzaku, I'll have you with me. We have to save that child. She was not hearing Tyler's mind link to his warriors as he gave orders, so she was hoping he couldn't hear hers as well. She needed to escape without being noticed.
This is dangerous. Be on high alert. Call for me and I will come to you. Suzaku's voice faded away and she was left to silently contemplate how to sneak out.
"Let's put on a movie or something I can't stand all this quiet waiting. I'm going to grab a quick shower and then we can start the movie." Lilly smiled but was being eyed by both Aaron and Cedric.
"Okay toots. I'll pick out the movie." Avery smiled and skipped over to the theatre room.
"I'll be down shortly." Lilly said one last time before she made her way up to her room. She didn't have a lot of time, they were definitely suspecting her. She turned on the shower and then tiptoed over to the window. She quietly sneaked out onto the small side roof. The night air was ominous and thick with wetness. A misty fog covered the area, while dark clouds were blocking out the light of the moon. Even the moon was hiding behind the clouds not wanting to see what was unfolding below it. It's go time, Kira. Lilly shifted into her wolf and leaped to the ground. She could hear the sounds of wolves fighting in the distance, but she turned in the opposite direction and followed where she was being pulled. She was following the feeling of dread.
The leaves softly crackled as she stepped on them. A strange scent was in the air and was becoming more clear, the sickening smell of black licorice. Funny, Lilly was not feeling anxious, she was feeling determined and angry. She could feel she was getting closer. There was suddenly a gentle tug coming from her back fur. She turned and looked to see sprites trying to stop her from advancing. She inwardly smiled at them. They were trying to warn her of the danger she was willingly walking into. She shook her head to them. I have to go.
The sprites gave her a worried look, but let go of her black strands.
Lilly! Where are you?! Tyler's voice sounded off in her head.
Crap he noticed.... She needed to make sure the child was safe first, but could at least have him on standby.
One of the children is in danger... Lilly answered him calmly. She was pretty calm even though she knew she was walking into a trap.
Where are you?! His voice echoed to her again sounding a bit more distressed.
Please concentrate on what you have to do and I will do the same for me. Do not worry about me, I am going to be fine... Lilly answered quietly as a heavy scent filled her nostrils. She heard a child whimper in the distance. She poked through the trees and stared off into the clearing. Just on the outside of their border stood a wolf of dull charcoal coloring with white ticking. His eyes met with hers and had a red hue flicker in his irises. At his side was a child. She recognized the girl as the one who handed her a flower when she was introduced as the packs Luna.
She locked eyes with the demon wolf. She had finally come face to face with him.
Look at you, come all ready to fight. The wolf paced to the side as he eyed her up.
Kira was double this wolfs size. She took a couple advancing steps closer and lowered her head towards the intruder. Her ears were flat against her head as she bared her teeth.
Let the child go.
The demon wolf snorted, keeping it's gaze fixated on her. So hasty. I have been waiting a long time to finally meet you, little princess.
Who are you? What do you want? How are you able to communicate with me! Lilly growled viciously as she watched his every movement closely.
My name is Abaddon, princess... and what I want is you. I can communicate with whoever I decide to open the link up to. It is one of my many talents. The wolf licked his lips as he eyed Kira up greedily.
It's Lilly... and what do you want with me? Do you want me dead? Lilly kept her consciousness pushed forward. This was very much about her.
She heard the wretched laughter in her head again. I want you very much alive. I want you by my side.
Ugh, if you are insinuating what I think you are... you can forget it. I already have a mate. Lilly felt repulsed at the very idea.
The wolf stared at her thoughtfully for a moment. Are you pregnant? The wolf sniffed his nose in the air trying to see if he could pick up the scent.
Lilly felt taken back. Is she pregnant? What the hell did that have to... oh wait. Did he want...
I want access to Elysium. A child that has both fairy and demon blood running through it to be the next heir to the fairy kingdom. Abaddon sneered with fixated eyes that began to flicker red again. You're disgusting. Not going to happen. I'm going to rip that head of yours from your neck. Lilly's voice dripped with venom. She glanced at the child still stuck there. She needed to get her to safety.
Abaddon watched her with interest. He was amused at the aggression of the fairy princess. His eyes flickered evilly over towards Lilly. He took his paw and clawed down the child's back making her scream in pain.
Rage flooded inside of her and she leaped forward towards Abaddon. She kicked the child backwards into the pack territory, putting distance between them. She then lunged forward again towards the demon wolf. How dare he hurt a child? Her ears flickered and then she quickly jumped back. She protectively stood between the child and the demon wolf, but that wasn't all. She first heard the sound, then she could see them. A small pack of wolves came into view. They all had their gaze fixated on her.
Go, get out of here now. Lilly ordered the child behind her as she stood off at the force in front of her. She listened to the sound of the girl jump up and run as she kept her gaze forward. Waiting for them to react.
The rogues attacking... those aren't rogues but more of your wolves. Lilly looked at the band in front of her. This was going to be tougher then she thought.
We can make this easy or we can do this the hard way? Abaddon's voice hissed in her head.
Lilly smirked inside of her head. Nothing in life was ever the easy way and she was not going to select it now. She growled lowly and braced herself to the barrage of wolves that would soon be upon her.
Three wolves lunged forward towards her while the others waited to see her strength. She was much larger than these wolves and there was a strong commanding power that flowed in her veins. She sank her teeth into the first wolf she could get a hold of and crunched down hard until she felt the snap. One down.
She yelped as teeth sunk into her back. Warm liquid poured into her dark fur as she spun her head to reach her attacker. She managed to land a blow to him but then felt another set of fangs sink into her side. The pain jolted through her body, but she stood strong as the wolves began to trickle in, attacking her. They had surrounded her and were taking turns attacking her flank. She had multiple wounds on her hind legs, as she tried to fend off her attackers.
A light blonde colored wolf leaped over the pack of wolves and was at her side. The wolf immediately started attacking the wolves that were attacking her. His beautiful light tan fur was being covered in both his and their blood as he desperately was trying to protect his princess.
Lilly was filled with worry for Cedric and she cracked a fire like whip over the wolves causing them to yelp and jump back. She was waiting to hold this back incase Abaddon had another trick up his sleeve. She couldn't wait any longer, both of their lives were in danger. Another line of wolves charged at them, ignoring the flames and burns. She couldn't focus on the masses all at once. There were too many of them.
Suzaku! Lilly yelled in her mind as she began to get overtaken by multiple wolves. Instantly, a large fiery bird manifested out of thin air.
The fiery phoenix sent a precise roaring flame over the wolves on Lilly and Cedric. As the wolves retreated, it turned and stared off at the demon pack in front of her as her flames flickered brightly. Abaddon let out a menacing growl. Damn you, you would get involved. Meddling deity!
Suzaku screeched loudly towards the half demon, as Kira shakily stood at her side. She could feel the slow oozing of liquid life seeping out of her body. The red liquid dripped to the ground and her legs slightly trembled from the pain. She glanced back towards Cedric, who was lying on the ground. Sticky dark liquid was creeping out of his body. He was breathing, but he was in terrible shape.
Abaddon was livid. The fairy princess was not only a monstrous wolf, but she also was a fire elemental with a fire deity on her side. He had numbers on his side, and he had already wounded the princess considerably. He could not just give up and leave yet. A small brown wolf walked out from behind the demon wolves and walked next to Abaddon. Lilly recognized the wolf immediately, it was Jessica. So, she did get involved with these demons.
Lilly watched the shift in their eyes. Abaddon was so fixated on Suzaku with a few other select wolves from his pack. The rest, including Jessica, were staring intently at Lilly.
Lilly felt weak from the blood loss. How many times had she been bitten? She had lost count, but there was barely a spot on her body that was not oozing with blood. The ground was stained crimson around her, and the scent of iron had filled the air. Still, she straightened up and stood strongly staring at the advancing wolves. If she was going to go down, she was at least going to take that b***h out too.
Four dark wolves dashed into her and she lashed hot flames at them as they advanced. They began circling her, retreating and advancing in unpredictable movements all the while Jessica's wolf had remained watching and waiting for an opportunity. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Abaddon was now closing in on Suzaku. He was inching closer towards her. The sickening licorice scent blanketed her as she continued to fight off the barrage of attacks.
Suzaku spread her bright wings and flashed fire towards Abaddon and the wolves. The other wolves danced away, but Abaddon stood fast in the flames; they did not burn him. With out her fire how could she fight against Abaddon? Lilly used her large body to leap over the wolves and in front of Suzaku. She stood off facing Abaddon, as Suzaku sent another swirling flame after the other wolves.
Abaddon fixed his eyes upon Lilly. His eyes were wide and menacing, filled with greed and desire. He took a slow step forward towards her and Lilly braced herself for a brutal battle.
