Dr. Luna -
Chapter 52
A group of wolves advanced towards Lilly, but they never reached her. Suzaku raised a fiery wall on one side while a streak of silver barged through on the other. Tyler's wolf, Jax was tangling with two of the other wolves, as more continued to advance. Abaddon and Jessica stopped and pulled back slightly as the Alpha wolf entered the scene. Lilly wanted to go after them. She did not want them to get away, but with her wounds, she knew there was nothing she could do.
More wolves around her began whimpering in pain, as two more wolves entered the fray. It was Kade and Caleb, but that wasn't all. There was a monstrous sound of trees being knocked down, as a wrecking ball was hurled their way. Tristan came in with a crushing force. He was like a train, steam rolling everything in his path. Wolves were flying around everywhere with every powerful swipe from Tristan. The wolves around Lilly had retreated following Abaddon's lead. They were not prepared to face a guardian, as well as Suzaku. Lilly caught Jessica following after Abaddon with her tail tucked behind her. A couple wolves were left behind to sacrifice themselves so the rest could escape.
Tyler and Tristan stood side by side as they finished off the remaining wolves. This was not the time to pursue them. They both were worried about Lilly and Cedric.
Tyler's silver wolf had streams of red ribbons flowing down his fur as he turned to face Lilly. She could feel his heart rate picking up as he looked at her with worry. She had so many wounds on her body, that it was impossible to feel the pain of his wounds on her, but she was sure he could feel hers. She knew she was a gory sight to behold.
Thank you for your help Suzaku. I need to help Cedric now. Lily watched as Suzaku faded away and then limped over to Cedric's side. He was still lying there. Immediately looking at him, Lilly knew it was not good. His eyes were closed and his breathing was ragged. We need to get him to the infirmary now. You guys bring him. I'm going back ahead to get the stuff I need ready. She took off as fast as her injuries would allow, with Tyler on her heels. Every step was painful, as the red liquid continued to drip from her. Lilly you are hurt, you need to take care of yourself. You haven't even stopped bleeding yet. I'm worried about you. Jax was whimpering, as he ran at Kira's side.
Lilly shifted into her human form and rushed into the infirmary. "Tyler, we have to worry about Cedric first. He is in worse shape than me."
Tyler was looking over her body with worry. There were so many wounds all seeping with blood. He knew she also was not in good shape. He didn't want to lose her, or Cedric, and she was the only one who could help Cedric now.
Lilly could hear his thoughts and worry. She grabbed a large shirt and threw it over herself to hide as many injuries as she could for now. She was hurting, but she couldn't worry about herself right now. Cedric was fighting for his life because he came to help her. Tristan and Kade carried in Cedric, who had shifted back to his human form, and laid him on the examination bed, pulling a sheet up to his torso. Lilly scrambled to grab the things she needed and rushed over to his side. She quickly gave him a shot of something to help with the pain and began to bandage up the wounds the best she could.
"Tyler, hold pressure here." Lilly wrapped a bandage up tight and showed Tyler exactly where to hold it.
The wounds were bad and she was in real danger of losing him. Her heart was pounding wildly as she continued to scramble to get the bleeding under control. What more could she do? She rubbed her hand over his forehead and looked into his pale face. She couldn't lose him... she just remembered him. He was her best friend who always looked out for her, even though she didn't know it.
She felt the warm tears trickle down her face as she felt his thready pulse. His body was in distress. She could only hope that his werewolf healing kicked into overdrive soon. "Are you okay?" Tyler asked in a soft voice.
She didn't realize it, but her body was trembling. She had also lost a lot of blood.
"How was the fight with the rogues? How is everyone else?" Lilly asked quietly she wanted to make sure everyone else was okay too.
"They've been taken care of. You and Cedric are in worse shape than everyone else... of course no one else was dealing with several dozen wolves at a time." Kade answered quietly.
"And you think fairies are weak." Cedric scoffed quietly.
Lilly watched as his eyes opened heavily. "Cedric... you shouldn't have come." Lilly let the liquid crystals flow from her eyes as she held his hand.
"Now don't be greedy and hog all the fighting for yourself." Cedric gave her a weak smile.
"How are you feeling?" Tyler asked quietly.
"I feel like I've been in a fight with a pack of wolves... oh wait I have." Cedric rolled his head to his side to look at Lilly. "You don't think I am that weak to die over something like this now do you?" Cedric gave Lilly a half smile.
She could see the color coming back into his face and his pulse was returning to normal. Lilly let out the breath of air she had been holding and leaned her head back into Tyler. He was going to be okay. It might take him a few days to recover, but the important thing was, he should recover.
Tyler gently put his hands-on Lilly's shoulders, "You need to sit down. We need to get you taken care of now." He then turned his head to look at Kade and Tristan. "How long do you two plan to stand there naked in front of my mate?" Tyler said with playful irritation in his voice, trying to lighten the somber mood.
"What's the mater Tyler? Afraid she isn't going to want a pup like you when she see's my grizzly?" Tristan smirked.
Tyler scoffed at Tristan and then looked over at Kade. "There should be some shorts in the next room, grab me a pair too." Tyler waited for Tristan and Kade to leave the room before he turned the girl around and wrapped her gently in his embrace. "I was so scared Lilly... look how chewed up you are... I can't lose you."
Aaron came into the room, he left Mattie to watch over Cadence so that he could replace Lilly. He wanted to immediately go and search for her, but Cedric was afraid that he might get mistaken for a rogue, so he asked them to wait there. He looked at Lilly and his face paled. The shirt she was wearing was covered in blood and there were wounds all over her arms and legs. His eyes teared up as he looked at his precious sister.
"Geez... Lilly..." Aaron looked over at Tyler. "Tell me who did this to her is a least dead." He was livid seeing his sister this way.
"Some of them are dead. She was fighting with dozens of wolves... The main culprit got away. We couldn't afford to pursue, not with how bad these two were wounded." Tyler said softly meeting with Aaron's gaze. "Lilly... we need to get your wounds cleaned up." Lilly could hear her brother and Tyler's voice as she leaned into Tyler. She was needing his body for support. She could finally relax about Cedric. It was only now that she could feel the protests her body was making. Her head was light and spinning. Her body was trembling slightly. Her world was fading dark.
Tyler soon felt Lilly collapse into his body. She was unconscious. s**t.
"Lilly."
A gentle voice called to her in the depths of her mind. Lilly opened her eyes. She was standing in a green meadow that was filled with flowers. The sky was the brightest blue she had ever seen and the sun was shining in all it's brilliance. Where was she? In the distance she saw someone walking towards her. She knew this person. It was her mother.
"Lilly." Her mother's voice was warm and gentle. Her almost white colored hair shined like silver in the sun, as the wind played with the ends of her strands.
"Mom? Where am I?" Lilly asked. Wait... was she dead?
"This is Elysium. Well this is the dream state of Elysium. I was able to bring you here so we can talk. It takes a big toll on my body so it isn't something I can do often or for long, but I needed to help you." Her mother fixated her gaze on her daughter with a look of urgency.
"Help me? How can you help me in a dream? And help me how?"
"Lilly, we are healers. It is one of our powers that have been passed down over countless of generations. It takes a long time to learn and develop our healing powers, but I can help you discover just enough so that you can recover."
"Am I in that bad of shape?" Lilly knew her injuries were serious, but with her werewolf healing she didn't think it was life threatening.
"You've lost a lot of blood and we shouldn't risk it since we don't have to. I want you to focus. Focus on the warm yellow light inside of yourself. As you do, feel for the wave of energy you want to connect with. It should feel soothing and energizing. Let it out and feel it flow over your body. Once you do this, you will wake up from this dream state. Lilly, you must make the journey to Elysium, not immediately but very soon. There is much to talk about. You need to gather a strong escort that can protect you from Abaddon. There is a lot we have to talk about and there is a job that you have to do. Your guardian will be able to lead you here. Now... focus on that light." Lilly's mother gently commanded.
Lilly concentrated on the warm energy inside of her and searched for the glow that felt soothing and energizing to her. She let the warmth spread over her body and she felt herself drifting out of the dream state. As she was regaining consciousness, she heard her mother whisper 'I Love You'.
When Lilly woke up, she was back in her bed in the pack house. She was lying between Tyler's legs with her head resting on his upper leg. His hands were rubbing her arms gently and soothingly. His scent was filling her nostrils and she was taking in her personal hits of his intoxicating drug. His well-defined arms, strong thighs, heavenly smile-
"You are just recovering and what do you think you are thinking about?" Tyler said with a low whisper.
Lilly spun her head to the side to look up to his face. She smiled as she saw the concern over his face. He had been worrying about her. She shifted to sit up so she could hug him.
"Easy Lill." Tyler was worried she might reopen her wounds.
"Were you not able to read my mind while I was dreaming?" Lilly thought he would already know what happened in her subconsciousness.
"No, everything was blank. It was like you weren't there." His voice hitched a bit from the worry he was recovering from.
"I'm sorry for worrying you. How long was I unconscious?"
"Just a couple hours."
Lilly nodded her head and shifted her body around as she continued to sit up. "Tyler, it's okay. I think everything is healed." Lilly lifted up her shirt and was checking where the wounds were. They were no longer there. "How are you completely healed?" Tyler asked as he gently touched her healed skin.
"Wait... How is Cedric?!" Lilly asked with wide eyes. She wanted to make sure he was still doing okay, after all, his injuries were really bad too.
