Chapter 30: Can I Get A Reward?
What would it taste like if luscious red lips and sweet cream were mixed together?
Henry's eyes darkened as he leaned in close to Giselle, eager to taste the cream on the corner of her mouth. "Wait a second!"
Giselle suddenly raised her hand, pressing it against his chin to stop his advance.
"What's the matter?"
"This cake," Giselle explained, "is the result of my efforts after three tries. Do you really like it?"
"I do," Henry replied, his voice hoarse.
"Then do you want to reward me?"
Henry's eyes narrowed dangerously as he moved her hand to his lips, turning his face slightly to kiss her palm. "I'll reward you right away."
His eyes were filled with intense desire, his voice even huskier than before.
Giselle realized the situation was heading in a direction that would likely lead to the bedroom in the next moment.
She quickly pulled her hand back, saying, "That's not the kind of reward I meant. I..."
Seeing her hesitation, Henry naturally asked, "What kind of reward do you want?"
"I want to visit my grandmother."
"Sure," Henry agreed without hesitation.
Since her surgery, Giselle's grandmother had been recovering well under the care of specialists, improving more each day. Henry had already planned to take Giselle to visit her in the hospital once he had some free time. Giselle's eyes widened in surprise; things were going smoother than she had expected.
Henry caught her hand again, kissing each of her fingertips. "When do you want to go?"
Since he asked, Giselle didn't hesitate. "This afternoon."
"Baby," Henry said breathlessly, "you really know how to pick your timing."
After going at it for so long last night, he was already getting a bulge again!
At his age, he could still get this worked up...
Giselle couldn't help but suspect he was secretly taking something.
She blinked. "Is that not okay?"

Whenever she made a request, as long as it wasn't about leaving him, Henry always tried to fulfill it.
Faced with her plea, he couldn't replace it in himself to refuse.
"Of course," he said, his Adam's apple bobbing as he reluctantly let go of her hand. "Give me ten minutes."
He put the remaining cake in the fridge and went to take a cold shower.
Giselle happily went to the walk-in closet to change her clothes. She also took something from the closet before waiting for him in the living room.
Although he said ten minutes, it took him almost forty to come out.
The silver G65 parked outside the hospital, and Henry walked around to the passenger side to open the door for Giselle.
They took a private elevator up to the 12th floor. To ensure her grandmother's complete recovery, Henry had cleared out the 12th and 13th floors, arranging for specialists and equipment to be at her disposal. The hallway was quiet, their footsteps-Henry's in black leather shoes and Giselle's in small heels-echoing on the floor.
They soon arrived at the room. Henry opened the door for Giselle, then waited outside.
Afternoon sunlight streamed in through the half-open window, a breeze gently fluttering the curtain.
An elderly woman with white hair sat by the window, wearing reading glasses and quietly reading a book.
If it weren't for the hospital setting, one wouldn't guess she was ill.
Seeing this, Giselle remembered how frail her grandmother had been and felt a pang in her chest.
"Grandma!"
The elderly woman looked up, the wind ruffling her hair, making it shine in the sunlight.
She quickly closed her book and stood up. "Giselle, you're here!"
Giselle rushed forward to embrace her grandmother, tears streaming down her face. She was immensely grateful her grandmother had survived.
At that moment, she had to admit, she was thankful for Henry's presence.
Without him, her grandmother might not have made it.
The grandmother and granddaughter hugged for a long time before Giselle reluctantly let go, examining her grandmother closely.
Her grandmother couldn't help but joke, "Alright, are you trying to replace something wrong with me?"
Giselle laughed through her tears and raised a paper bag. "Grandma, look what I brought!"
They sat together on the couch as Giselle opened the bag, revealing a set of heirloom jewelry.
In the sunlight, the diamonds sparkled brilliantly.
