King Aragorn Stark

I've lived a life of duty and honor for as long as I can remember. Being the only heir to the throne, I had to live up to it at a very young age.

I did not have a life like everybody else. All I knew was to train, to study, and do everything that is to become the deserving Lycan King.

I cannot say that my life was not good. I had loving parents, ones that were also very supportive all throughout my life. The King and Queen ruled the Kingdom with a strong hand, but a warm heart. Everyone looked up to them just as I did.

But contrary to some people's beliefs, no, my life was not always perfect. It was not all glamor or extravagance in the castle.

I often made mistakes, and the worst part is that every time I did, it was magnified a thousand times worse for everyone to see, for everyone to judge me.

The pressure was starting to make me crumble and I needed to replace myself before I would wither inside and become nothing but ashes, so I went away.

Without telling a single soul, I left the Kingdom to go to the human world, a place where nobody knew who I was and I could be anybody, and that's exactly what I did for quite some time.

I wandered around endlessly, walking the streets and staring at nothing, really, but to me, it was everything. The feeling of being invisible-though debatable since some humans stop to ask me if I am a celebrity or a model, beats me-was something I have never experienced in my life, but it was definitely new and refreshing.

One day, while I was doing my usual walking around whatever area it is I end up in, I encountered her.

A woman that I had no idea then would change my life as I knew it.

She seemed strong and brave, and maybe a little bit insane, because this human was trying to fight three thugs all on her own to protect a helpless old man who seemed to be getting robbed.

I watched with fascination at how this tiny thing thought she could defeat men four times her size, but it was her sheer will and determination that intrigued me. When I knew that she could no longer keep up, that's when I stepped in to help.

She was hard-headed at first, pushing me away and saying it was none of my business and I wondered what it is this human has gone through for her to become so suicidal at best that she really could not see I was trying to merely help her.

After scaring away the three thugs in under ten seconds, that was the only time she acknowledged that I was not the bad guy in the situation.

"Stella Nightingale," she introduced herself and her two different colored eyes took my breath away instantly.

I have never seen a human with the same eyes as mine. Except hers was the other way around, green on the left, blue on the right.

I knew I had to know more about her and it took some convincing and warming up, as she seemed like a very closed off and private woman, but she eventually let me stick around.

I hung out with her during her work hours, and she worked a lot, in multiple jobs. I didn't realize humans had to work so much because even in my Kingdom, my people only work a few hours and only at one job, two at most.

I learned Stella had been alone for most of her life since her parents died in a car accident while she was in it. She had lived a tragic life, moving from one foster home to another, and only when she turned thirteen did she make a decision to get out of the system and live by herself.

I began to fall in love with a human before I could even realize I was doing so.

I wanted to bring her back home. I wanted to give her a better life in my world, but I knew it would be difficult when she had no idea who or what I really was, and most especially, when she had another person in her life, too.

"His name is Keith. He is young, but oh he is strong. He is such a strong and determined young boy with a pure heart, and I love him with every bit of my heart. We both work hard, so one day we no longer have to keep working and beating ourselves up twenty four seven. We work so one day we can just look back at everything and smile because we made it together." She told me, her eyes getting wet and I knew she did love the boy.

I was willing to take both of them to my world, to give them a break from their tedious lives, and to allow them to be truly happy.

I still remember that day up to the last detail. It was raining hard, almost like a storm, and I was getting ready to meet Stella and I would tell her the truth. Afterwards, I would ask her if she would want to come, as well as Keith. It was going to be perfect. Until I got the most devastating news.

My mother, the Queen, was dying. It was unexpected, and she was on her last breath, calling out to me, desperate to see me once again. I was so distracted by my own selfish needs that I had forgotten about my family, my parents who loved me.

I left a note for Stella telling her that I would come back for her as soon as I can before going back home.

My mother died only a few minutes after I arrived and my father followed shortly after. Everyone said it was from heartbreak. They loved each other too much to be away for too long.

I was broken, torn apart, and had been thrusted into the throne far too early than I expected.

I mourned my parents for days that turned into weeks and then months.

I thought I would never feel happiness again, but a certain Princess showed up in my Kingdom one day and I came to realize that she was my mate. A mate I didn't even think I had, but there she was, all golden hair and beautiful green eyes - Princess Ariesa. She helped me get back up when I thought I couldn't and eventually, my Kingdom followed as well.

Queen Ariesa and I were blessed with a baby boy that we decided to name after my parents - Soren, a mix of the former Queen Sora and King Eren.

We love Soren with our whole heart, but deep down we still wanted a daughter, though we knew how hard it was since female Lycans had somehow become something so rare in our world.

Years later, I had no idea I would be looking at my own daughter, my lost Princess.

"Suri," I whispered her name, a beautiful name for a beautiful girl who had both mine and her mother's eyes.

"It is just like Stella to name you like a Princess."

Her eyes widened at me. "You... you remember my mom?"

"I never forgot her even for a day. Where is she? Is she with you? Keith? Did you two manage to build that life you two have always wanted? I wish I had a chance to go back, but with the Kingdom, and everything, it just... I'm sorry I was never able to." I apologized, my chest tightening thinking of all those times I tried to go back to the human world, but my responsibilities to the Kingdom tied me down and it breaks my heart knowing that I was never able to fulfill my promise of coming back for Stella.

It took a while, but it's amazing that fate managed to bring us all back together again. Only Stella was missing, and I couldn't wait for her to be here, to be where I believe she belongs, too.

But the heartbreak in both Suri and Keith's eyes told me that that wasn't going to happen, and I... I was too late.

"She passed away, King Aragorn. I, too, was late. I only found Suri after Stella was gone." Keith explained and my chest tightened at the gut-wrenching thought...

That I would never see my first love ever again.
