Fated To The Lycan Brothers -
Chapter 93
Suri Nightingale
It was a weekday morning, and usually by this time I would be getting ready to go to the academy after work, but instead, I had just woken up and did a quick freshen up before heading down to have breakfast with Keith.
Last night after my conversation with the boys, Keith came in and told me that he would like to talk to me. He sounded serious and I was nervous about what it was about, but he said it was better to talk about it in the morning since I still needed more rest. After all, I had just turned into a freaking animal and back to a human for the first time.
And they were right. I slept like a baby. It also helped that Aurora was like a friend that was always available to talk with. It was like having a sleepover with her and we talked and talked for hours until I had gotten sleepy.
But even then, even when we had talked so much, I knew I still had a lot to learn. One of those was the fact that Aurora needed to hunt soon. I had no idea what she specifically meant by it, but 'hunting' didn't really sound too enticing for me. I asked her to wait for when I'm ready, and she said she would try... though she couldn't promise.
I needed the boys' help as soon as possible.
"Good morning, sweetheart." Keith greeted me with a warm smile. Almost as warm as the sun coming from the backyard and reaching the pool lounge where a perfect breakfast spread was waiting for us.
Good lord heavens, it feels like I could eat the entire thing in one sitting. I ate a lot back then, but this was different. It's like I really could eat all of this and have another round.
Keith must have noticed exactly how much I was craving all the food because he said, "Sit down and eat as much as you want, Suri. Lucy can bring in more food in case it's not enough, don't worry."
I swear Keith was sent from the heavens. He doesn't even have to tell me twice as I sit down and start putting food on my-two-plates.
"It's really good to see you already full of energy. Have you gotten enough rest?" Keith asked while I chomped on some french toast.
I nodded my head and answered right after I finished a mouthful. "I am! So much so that I think I'm ready to go back to work and the academy."
Keith's expression went from relaxed to tense and I was so confused as to why.
"What is it? Did I say something wrong?" I asked.
He let out a deep sigh as if something was bothering him and I knew instantly that he was about to tell me something very important, and probably life-changing, too. Either in a good or bad way. "Suri, I'm not sure that you can go back to doing what you used to do before... all this."
Oh.
I felt my heart drop, not just in my stomach, but completely to the ground before it was stomped on over and over again.
Did he mean I was never going to be able to go outside? But how come? The boys have been doing it all their lives, so what was different with me?
I told him exactly that, and after another deep breath he said, "You're not just a Lycan, Suri. You might just be the last female Lycan in the entire world."
My mouth hung wide open. I'm sorry, what? How?!
"Stella... I'm not sure how she could have met a Lycan and... engaged in a relationship with him, but during that time, she must have conceived you. Did she ever tell you anything about her relationship with your father?" Keith asked as he looked at me with worry in his eyes.
I shook my head. "No, never. I told you she just used to tell it was from a s***m donor. I guess.... It kind of makes sense now. My mother... She never talked about being in love. Even with all those relationships, she never seemed happy with any of them. It was always just fake. The laughs, the smiles, they were all just an act for her. I knew it every time I looked in her eyes. It was always like she was thinking of somebody else. That somebody must be... my Lycan father."
Oh my goodness.
I have a real father. Somewhere out there, he's... there. Well, I'm not sure if he's still alive, but he was there. He wasn't just a stranger to my mother. She loved him. So much so that it broke her heart and she had to flee with me still in her belly. My father broke her heart.
I guess I should be pissed at him, but how do I do that when I don't even know him?
"Who is he? Do you know who he could be?"
Keith frowned. "I have no idea how to replace out who he is. I just have a feeling that whoever it is must have left your mother after being in a relationship together because she was unfortunately not his mate."
I blinked at him even more confused. "Mate? What... what is that?"
I then remembered what Atlas and Dev called me back then. It was the exact same thing, and Dev said it was only a nickname. I knew there was something more to it!
"It's pretty much your soulmate, but unlike with humans, you don't exactly 'sense' it instantly. With wolves, you have that ability. The Moon Goddess has made that person for you and you feel it inside of you. Tingles when you're around them and their scent overpowers everything. It's like replaceing that other half, and it just... completes you when you do."
Holy... moly...
Those were exactly what I felt that moment I was in my wolf form and they showed up.
Atlas, Wes, and Dev.
They were my mates.
Somehow... I'm not sure how to handle that information. Or... what to do with it.
"I know this is a lot to take in, Suri, but I'm sure the boys have already reassured you that no matter what happens, we're all here for you. You know that, right?" Keith gave me a rather sympathetic smile and as weird as the situation is, he was absolutely right. I had nothing to worry about when I had such amazing people like them in my life. I was certain that whatever happened, they would be there right by my side.
I nodded my head at Keith. "I know it all too well, and I am grateful for all four of you."
I love them and I'm sure if my mom was here, she would love them to bits as well. Deep down inside, I was just sad and scared that my whole life would have to change because I was... different.
-
I spent most of the day just lounging around and talking with Aurora. She was definitely a bubbly character. She seemed to be like the type of girl I would be had I not lost my mom and had to go through all those hardships.
"So, how does this really work? Like, are we connected?" I asked her as I was seated on one of the swings by the pool, strawberry milkshake in hand.
Maybe I do like not having to worry about school and work.
"Pretty much, but we're still two different beings, though what you feel, I feel and your thoughts are my thoughts, as are many other things. Think of me as your inner self, except I'm a badass wolf that is unapologetically herself." Aurora replied and I couldn't help but giggle like crazy.
She really is super cool.
"Hey... can I ask you about... the hunting thing?"
There was some silence for a few seconds and I felt scared that I had asked something I shouldn't have. It's not like I knew what to say or what not to say about these things. Heck, I just learned about her existence a few days ago!
"We're carnivores, Suri. It is who we are, and it might seem unusual for you, but think of it as just eating a steak. Once you shift, that need will rise and you won't be able to stop yourself. I won't be able to stop myself. We need it to regenerate and to get stronger. Without it, we would possibly die."
Oh, crap. Well... that is definitely something I should keep in mind.
"If you put it that way then may I ask... how long until you or we need to feed?"
Another silence that made me nervous.
"I don't have the answer to that question, but you should ask our mates. They know what to do."
After that, she just faded away and I was left on my own.
I must have fallen asleep because the next thing I know, I can feel warm fingers tracing from my leg to my thigh and I jolted awake when it reached a little too close to my shorts.
When my eyes opened, I was met with mischievous ocean blue eyes.
"Wesley," I said in a soft whisper.
His grin widened. "Suri."
I smiled as I looked behind him, expecting to see two others, but there was nobody, and I sensed it inside of me. They weren't near. It was weird how I could do that, but totally useful.
"They're not home yet, but they will be in a bit. They've still got training, but I rushed out of mine as soon as I could to be with you, angel." Wes exclaimed as he began to lean closer and closer to me and eventually, his face was merely an inch apart.
God, this boy was beautiful. He really did look like he was sculpted to perfection in every angle.
"Suri..." He said in a whisper that I felt on my lips.
"Hm?" Was all I could say as my eyes were glued on his luscious lips.
Christ almighty, I want to kiss him.
Wait, I can kiss him, can I? Does Keith know? He told me about the mates thing so I'm guessing he must have some idea or maybe the boys haven't told him yet? Darn it, why are they taking forever to tell him?
"I can almost hear what you're thinking," Wes suddenly said and that made me look up at him shocked and confused.
"You can?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "Sort of, but not entirely since I haven't marked you, but I can sense it. I don't know how, but I just can. Atlas and Dev probably could, too." Hold on a hot minute here.
"Marked me? What the hell is that?" I looked at him with a perplexed expression.
Wes, the ever so overconfident man that he was, merely licked his lips and oozed charm out of him in seconds. "Do you want to replace out, angel? I can show you right now, right here, on this swing..."
Before I could say anything else, the distance we had quickly vanished when he kissed me on the lips. Wes doesn't take even a millisecond before he holds the back of my head and deepens the kiss. I felt him asking for access into my mouth with his tongue and I yielded instantly.
Our tongues were dancing, faster and faster, both our lips growing greedier.
"Wait, oh my god, we can't do this here. Wes," I panted into his mouth and instead of replying, he grabbed the edge of the swing and twisted it to face the backyard where nobody by the house could see us.
It's still exposed if somebody walks up to us, but before I could retaliate, I felt his warm hand on the exposed skin of my stomach as I was just wearing a cropped top.
"Oh, shit," I cursed in pleasure at the sudden warmth of him on my body.
It's been quite some time since we were intimate because I left, but oh goodness gracious, I did not expect for this to feel that way, like his hands are on fire and I am burning from the insides.
This must be it. This must be that tingling effect mates feel when they're together. I used to feel it with them already, but this time it's magnified by a million times.
I can feel every movement of Wes whether it be by a centimeter or more.
I want him. I want him so bad.
His lips are still on mine while he caresses my thighs that are painstakingly close to my intimate part. Any second from now he could reach that part and I'd just melt into his hands as he took me, and I wouldn't even complain.
"Stop teasing, you little s h it," I whispered to him and he grinned onto my lips.
"Calm down, angel. I'm getting there..." He teased, but right after he placed his hand down and cupped my pussy from my cotton shorts and holyyyyyy fuuuuuuck, my back arched just by that one touch.
I think I might just die if he starts to really touch me.
"You like that, angel? You like when I touch you like this?" He says into our kiss while moving his hand up and down and good god, I can't take this any longer. He either needs to insert his fingers inside of me right now or I'm dragging his a*s up to whichever room is closest because I need him desperately.
"Yes! Yes, I love it, now put it inside!" I whispered-shouted and only after I said did I realize how desperate and horny I sounded. Definitely not very ladylike, but it seems I had nothing to worry about because this just turned Wes on even more.
I can feel him untying the strings of my cotton shorts and just when his hand was about to slide inside my underwear, I heard my name get called by someone I was definitely not expecting to see here, right now, while I was making out with her crush. "Suri?!"
By instinct, I shoved Wes away and turned my head back to see who it was and just my fucking luck, it really is her.
Her eyes had started to get red as tears were about to fall. Just as I had stood up to walk over to her and explain, she turned around and ran.
"No, wait! Elle!"
