Forsaken betrayal -
Chapter 23
Episode 23
Gealic drove, wondering what he life had become. She had gone from a happy marriage to being dumped in a day and now to being brandished a murdere. If she could stay and try to investigate herself, she would not be digging her grave deeper. Gealic wanted to have nothing more to do with Lennox and get family.
At the same time, she pondered about who Amelia realized was. Was she a mere unloved woman, it was she a crazy mastermind of things evil. Gealic thought she understood Amelia but as it turns out, she was completely oblivious of what the woman was, what made her seem evil and why people hated her.
Gealic noticed the speed of the car increasing at a rate she could not control. She tried pressing the break to slow down the car but the car only moved faster. Her face flushed in panic as the brake refused to work. Her brain was jumbled with thoughts of everyone's reaction if she died in this car, Lennox's freedom from her, Her parents and Maggie's happiness.
"I can't die," She muttered, her heartbeat raving as fast as the moving can. "I can't die like this."
She picked her phone, calling the only number she knew to call.
"Lennox," She cried into the phone.
"Where are you?" He asked her
"Around Mathan lane. Lennox, my brakes are not working." She cried into the phone.
"Don't leave the call, I'm near there."
"Lennox!" She cried as her car raced past a red traffic light, scaring the people close to the crossing. "I'm scared I'll hut someone."
"You won't," He said, his voice remaining calm despite the dangerousness of the situation. "Head for Locke banks, there a construction going on there, something should be able to stop you."
Gealic obliged immediately, turning the car the place Lennox had described. Thoughts of death seeped I'm through into her mind no matter how much she tried to put it out.
"I don't want to die yet," She cried in a low voice.
"You won't die Amelia, trust me."
"That would have worked better if you had called me by my real name. Amelia isn't scared, Gealic is" she muttered, sure that he could not hear her.
All of a sudden, the car crashed into something sending Gealic spiralling forward in her seat. Her Head hit the steering in brute force and she winced in pain and the spot started bleeding. She looked at what she hit and noticed it was a car, Lennox's car.
"Are you fine?" He asked over the phone in a rush.
"I am, what are you doing?"
"Slowing you down, taking control of your crash."
"Crash!"
"It's inevitable that you'll crash something but if I stay like this, the effect of your crash will be minimal."
"What about you?" She screamed, trembling at the thoughs of what this could end up in.
"I'll be fine," He answered
"No! Get away from the front of me!"
"I can't."
"Please Lennox don't do this to yourself, I'll turn away from..."
"Don't do that Amelia, leave and I'll crash into your car myself. Either way, I'll stop you." Gealic's eyes brimmed with tears at his words.
"Now leave the steering wheel and make sure your seat belt is buckled. Is it?" He asked.
"It is," She sobbed.
Both cars moved in unparalled speed, Lennox's car in front kissing the front of Gealic's car in a bid to hold back Gealic's car. Both cars were headed for a pile of construction sign.
Lennox looked at the signs and determined that they would not hold both cars. His face followed the trail beside the signs and he noticed a tree by the side of the road.
If he could just sightly hit the tree with Gealic's car pushing behind, he could stop both cars with minimal injury. He would get hurt but she'd be fine, he thought.
With that he changed course, turning slowly frin the intended sign to the tree.
Gealic noticed what he was doing and screamed in fear into the call. "Lennox,don't do that. Lennox, you'll get hurt, don't do that." She begged.
"I'll be fine." He replied
In a moment, they drove past down to the tree, Gealic closing yet eyes while bracing for impact. Lennox I'm his car was trying to lower their speed to minimize the effect of the crash but as they drew nearer and nearer, it seemed impossible. In a moment, Lennox let go of the steering wheel, his arms crossed over his face as he redied for impact.
He counted in his mind, "3...2...1"
Crash!
Everything went black.

Gealic raised her head from where her head slammed on the steering wheel, a little blood trickling down a cut in her head. She sighed in relief but immediately gasped in fear as she saw the condition of the car in front of hers. The front was totally crushed and the back had taken the hit of her car.
She quickly dropped from the car, ignoring the pain that shot up her head. Her only purpose was to make sure Lennox was alright. She had already stayed a second longer than a moment and Lennox was still in the car. She walked slowly towards his door, scared of what she would see.
Before she could reach his side, Lennox has forcefully opened the door, staggering out of it and falling on his back in less than a meter.
Gealic screamed as she watched him wince in pain. She stormed to his side, kneeling by him and tapping his shoulders. "Lennox! Lennox are you okay?"
His eyes were shut in a painful way and his hand held the other arm carefully.
"Lennox please answer me. Lennox!"
"I'm fine Amelia," He whispered through the pain. "I just need to lay here for a while, I think I broke my arm."
The others rush to his side
"Let's take you to the hospital." Alex said, lifting Lennox up while Gealic followed behind, sobbing.
Alex's and Johnson's car drive to the crash immediately, with both of them almost jumping out of their cars to where Lennox lay, wounded.
"Lennox!" They cried out in unison.
"I'm fine, stop yelling." Lennox said, his voice weakened.
"Let e go to the hospital," Johnson said, carefully lifting Lennox up and into his car.

Gealic sat at the waiting room as the doctors treated Lennox's injuries. Her hands were curled in a fist as she prayed nothing more than a broken bone had happened to him. She could not love with herself if she hurt someone and now she was being suspected of a child murderer and had managed to cause another person to be injured.
She could only state at the clock as time passed, waiting on her seat. Her injuries had been taken care of but the pain was not clouded her mind.
The other men that came with her had identified themselves as Lennox's friends. One watched her with anger scrawled all over his face while the other moved from calls to calls.
"Alex," The second called, snapping the first out of his anger-induced trance. "Let's go make a call, this is important."
~~~
The messenger when had delivered the envelope to Lennox earlier in the day stood outside an uncompleted complex and watched as a figure clad in moved closer to him. "Did he get the message?" A voice asked in the dark..
"Yes, I made sure he read through it before leaving." The messenger kneeled.
The person in a long robe smiled from the red hood of the robe and threw a bundle of cash in the floor before the messenger. "You can go." The person said, turning back the way they came.
