Agnes was immediately taken aback.

Jared had mentioned getting back together last night, but Agnes had made it clear that she disagreed.

However, she hadn't expected that Jared would announce it to Tim and Alyssa as soon as he got back.

Jared said he hoped they could go home together and call it quits.

Was this what Jared meant by calling it quits?

Agnes blurted out almost reflexively, "Jared, have you lost your marbles? When did I ever agree to getting back together with you?"

Jared turned around and snapped, "Shut up, I never asked for your opinion."

Agnes could feel that Jared was really fed up with her.

That repressed hatred and anger seemed like they could explode at any moment.

Jared said he didn't need her opinion and felt that this was the only way forward.

Because of Summer, canceling the wedding and getting back together with Agnes were his reluctant choices.

Agnes fired back, "Jared, you can't be so autocratic and overbearing. Getting back together is a two-person decision. If I don't agree, you'd better drop the idea now."

"Agnes, Summer is already a big boy, what do you want to do?" Jared roared uncontrollably.

Whenever Summer was mentioned, Jared would lose it.

The missing four years, filled with regrets and pain always made him lose control.

Tim and Alyssa were dumbstruck, "Is the little boy on the news your child?"

Alyssa couldn't believe it, but that dreadful sense of fate suddenly swept over her, like a pair of hands choking her.

Why would it be Agnes' child? Even if it were Sharon's child, it would be better than this.

Their grudges and entanglements spanning twenty years.

Alyssa originally thought that with Jared and Agnes' divorce, everything was over.

But how come they have a child?

Were the grudges of twenty years to continue?

Tim looked really upset, "Spit it out, what's going on?"

Jared turned around and seemed much calmer, "Yes, Summer is mine and Agnes' child. Agnes was already pregnant before she left. Summer is now four years old and is in my room." Upon hearing this, Tim staggered back a step.

He finally grabbed a chair and sat down.

Tim muttered, "This is a sin."

Upon hearing this, Agnes was really upset.

How could Nocturne, an angel, become a sin here?

Moreover, she never intended for Nocturne to have any connection with the Whitfield family.

Agnes didn't hold back, "You guys don't have to worry, Summer is my son and has nothing to do with the Whitfield family. As long as you guys persuade Jared to leave us alone, I promise to disappear just like before."

Tim coldly replied, "If you really want to disappear, why did you suddenly show up at Jared's engagement party and use Summer as a tool to make him cancel the wedding and leave? It's easy to guess your thought."

Agnes felt misunderstood.

But she still retorted, "Then what do you think I'm after, Tim? Besides, everyone knows that Jared left because of Sharon's suicide and didn't show up at the wedding. I certainly won't take responsibility for Jared's love life."
