His Lethal Love
Chapter 88

Scott POV.

"Who are you?"

My eyes widened in surprise when Caden said those words to his sister. Camille's face paled as she watched her brother in pure shock.

"Caden," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "You...don't know me?" She stabbed her finger into her chest. "I'm Camille Davidson...I...I..." she said desperately while stepping up to her brother. I could see the pain, shock, and hurt on her face. She was hardly able to walk.

"I don't know who you are," Caden said firmly, watching his sister with an eye of bitterness. "And get out of here. I don't like strangers in my house."

"Cade..." Her voice cracked as she covered her mouth with her hand and burst into tears. "It was my fault. I was the one who left you alone knowing how much you loved me. You were the only one who never went against me but now you also..." She spun around and sprinted out of the door.

"Camille..." I followed her. She was running down the street. "Camille, stop now!" I called out but she didn't stop. I ran faster to catch her arm. Finally, I was able to grab her and pull her into my arms. She cried harder, burying her face in my chest. I cupped the back of her head while trying to soothe her back. "I'm sorry."

"You don't have to feel sorry. It was my fault that I left them and never contacted them again. I have become too selfish." She sniffed and looked up at me. Her eyes were red and wet. "Thanks for looking after my siblings." "Camille..." I cupped her face, staring into her eyes. My heart ached to see her hurt. I wish I could take away her pain. "It's the least I can do for you."

"There's no need to, Scott..." she whispered, gazing intently at me. "You don't need to do all these things because in the end I am gonna break your heart."

I chuckled, brushing her hair off her face. "I'm ready to take whatever you have for me, Cam."

"The only thing I have for you is hate and revenge." She turned away from me and wiped her tears.

We stayed quiet as we headed for my car. Camille seemed lost the entire ride as if she was thinking about something else. Suddenly, her eyes widened when I drove into the parking lot of my mansion. "What is this place?" "We'll stay here for the weekend."

She said nothing and got out of the car. I opened the door and let her inside the place where I and Maura used to live.

"Is this the place where you and she lived together?" she asked, looking around the living room and heading toward the kitchen.

"Yes." I sighed, following her. "This place is close to my heart."

"That's why you let her live here?" she asked in a vengeful tone as if she was feeling jealous.

"Today we just visited her funeral." I reminded her. There was sarcasm in my voice.

She ignored my words and headed upstairs and proceeded straight to my room. I followed to ensure that she wouldn't see anything she shouldn't see. Maura used to live there and she left that place totally messy. A pile of rotten vegetables and unwashed dishes filled the kitchen. A blanket sprawled on the floor, empty wine bottles littered the floor, and dirty clothes covered the entire living hall. Maura must have brought a few hookups there.

"Scott!" I was alarmed when Camille screamed my name from upstairs. I broke into a run and dashed into my room. "Oh, my God! She used cocaine." She pointed at a packet of white powder on the nightstand. I walked up there and touched white power bringing my fingers to my nose. I cringed and cursed.

Taking a deep breath, I quickly opened the window, allowing fresh air to enter the room. There was a strange sense of cold and darkness in my room. Camille made her way to Maura's walking wardrobe. "I feel sorry for that woman, to be honest. She used to wear your shirt while sleeping." She nodded to my black shirt on the bed and her undergarments.

"Well, I guess yes." I shoved my hands into my pants pocket, examining everything in the room.

"I can't stay here for a minute." Camille winced at the sight of the bathroom and shut the door closed. "She vomited everywhere."

"I'll ask my cleaners to give this house a thorough cleaning."

"Then where will we stay?"

"I have a place in my mind."

"What place?" Camille frowned and I smirked.

"Let's go." I grabbed her hand and dragged her away. We climbed into the car and I drove straight to my farmhouse. It was a spacious sloping house in the middle of a forest.

Camille's jaw dropped when I parked my car in front of a stunning wooden house. "When did you replace this place?" she blurted while getting out and rushing toward the house. She looked around at tall trees and small ponds a few yards away. "I have always wanted to be in this type of place." She excitedly hopped on the blue stone stairs. She threw the door open and walked inside.

The house was well designed with expensive furniture and polished floors. "The only place I love in the house is the kitchen and it has this huge window confronting this picturesque forest." Camille grinned and peeked out at a quiet forest. She closed her eyes and inhaled the earthy scent. "I love it."

I smiled, approaching her and watching at the same spot she was looking. "This house makes you genuinely happy, Cam."

"I could feel peace here."

"Won't you bring Colette here?"

She shot her eyes at me, surprised. "What are you talking about, Scott?"

"Don't lie to me. You came here with Conan and Colette, Cam. You left her with Conan at the hotel. I want to meet my daughter."

"Scott..." Before she could speak I cut her off.

"Please don't lie to me."

"I don't want to talk about it." She snapped and walked away. "I'm hungry. What do you want to eat?" she asked and opened the refrigerator, looking for something to cook.

I looked at her as she brought fresh vegetables and meat from the refrigerator and grabbed a knife. She began to chop vegetables and put meat on the stove. I gave her a hand and helped her prepare the meat. She instructed me and I followed her. In an hour our dinner was ready and we sat at a small rounded dining table. I poured wine into two glasses and slid one toward Camille.

We eat dinner quietly. An outstretched table in front of a window reveals a silver moon. "I feel like I came on a date." Cam chewed her food and glanced at the moon. "I hate to accept that but I am enjoying having dinner with you." A ghostly smile was on my face as I sipped my wine, staring at her. "You're a fantastic cook."

She smiled and said, "Thanks."

During the entire dinner, we didn't talk. Camille avoided talking about Colette and I was not interested in anything else but my daughter. I was a bit upset because of Maura's sudden death.

As I sat on the porch, Camille walked out and took a place next to me. I could practically smell her sweet scent lingering in my nose. For a brief moment, I felt the urge to grab her, but I restrained myself from doing that.

"I am afraid she will choose you over me," Camille said quietly. She was talking about Colette. There was a hint of insecurity in her voice. "She admires you so much that it hurts me, Scott. I wonder how she will react when she replaces out you're her father."

"Me as well..." I smiled sadly. "I will feel proud the day when she calls me dad."

Which would never come!

Camille sighed and said nothing.

I found it difficult to talk to a woman whom I loved with my whole heart. Maybe I was afraid that I would hurt her accidentally with my words or maybe I was not sure whether she wanted to talk to me or not. I looked at Camille and my heart skipped a beat when I saw her in my shirt.

I cleared my throat nervously. "Are you comfortable in my shirt?"

"Since the wardrobe is packed with your clothes, I have to wear them. I can't sleep in those formal black attire."

"You look mind-blowing." I gazed at her legs and my desire flickered to life. Before I lost control, I stood up and walked into the room, pulling off my clothes. I needed to take a bath before going back to bed. I shaved my facial hair and had a hot shower. I deliberately took my time so that Camille fell asleep. Later I walked out and slipped into boxers. I froze at the very moment when I noticed Camille lying on my bed.

Shit!

Her eyes were closed as she curled to one side. My eyes fell on her exposed cleavage. Her nipples puckered against the shirt, and her mouth parted open. I couldn't sleep there so I grabbed a pillow and headed to the living room but she called me out from behind.

"Where are you heading?" Her voice was firm and authoritative.

I turned around to see her, running my fingers through my hair. "I'll sleep on the couch."

"No, you'll sleep here."

"Cam, I can't...you know." My voice rasped.

"Come here..." My dick twitched when she said that seductively.

Shit!

I walked up to her and sank into the bed. She stared into my eyes and smirked. "Do you know..." she brought her face closer to mine until our noses touched. "How much I like you being inside me."

And I lost control. The very next moment, I ripped my shirt off her body before pressing her soft body against my body. She quickly slid down my boxers and let me in. She moaned, and I groaned. Our bodies mashed and moved simultaneously. I thrust into her harder and faster. She cried out of pain and pleasure as she clawed her nails at my back.

"Scott!" she gasped when I hit the right spot.

"Cam!" We reached our climax and came at the same time. "Fuck!" I quickly pulled myself out when I realized I hadn't worn a condom. "I was bare."

"I knew that." I could see emotions in her eyes as she gazed into my eyes. "I like being bareback with you."

"What if I impregnate you again?"

"I don't mind having another baby as long as it is yours," she said, melting my heart. Before I could reply to her she fell asleep soundlessly.
