Chapter 613: You can ask me for help, I'm happy to assist.

For the next two or three days, Yanis didn't go to see Mia and the others. One reason was because Bonnie had come down with a bad cold and fever, lying in bed like she had some serious illness. Yanis had Myles take her to the hospital, but since Bonnie needed someone at the wedding venue, Yanis went in her place.

With other work on hand as well, Yanis was busy as a bee these past few days. Zane called twice asking to have dinner together, but Yanis declined both times because she really couldn't spare any time. Today at five o'clock, Yanis got up and went with Linda to the wedding venue just in case there were any unnoticed mistakes that needed fixing before it started. They double-checked everything carefully before it began so they could relax.

"Yanis, why don't you eat something first? They won't be here until ten," Linda said while handing over buns and soy milk.

Yanis sat on a nearby chair feeling exhausted as she took them from Linda's hands. "Have you found all of our staff for closing?"

Linda nodded while gnawing on her bun beside Yanis. "I found two people plus us; we'll be done within an hour or two."

Looking around at the setup again, Yanis said: "An hour or two is not enough; you still need to clean up all this trash properly. Find more people."

Linda swallowed her food before responding: "Okay then, I'll go replace more people later."

Yanis nodded slightly.

After finishing breakfast together they parted ways - Linda stayed behind while Yanis returned to her car with a sketchbook in hand, continuing where she left off earlier drawing jewelry designs that recently inspired her - rings, necklaces bracelets anklets earrings- most of which were already completed, except for three items which seemed difficult. No matter how many times she tried sketching them out, it felt like hitting a bottleneck!

As if lost deep in thought looking back through old sketches trying hard not lose focus when suddenly Linda appeared knocking on Yani's car window calling out: "Yanis!"

Hearing this voice made Yani snap back into reality, raising one hand rolling down the window asking: "What's wrong?"

"One of our decorations collapsed, and flowers on one side also fell," replied Linda urgently from outside.

When Yanis heard Linda's words, his face changed slightly. Shee quickly put the things in her hand on the passenger seat and got out of the car. "How could it fall?" she asked.

Linda shook her head. "I'm not sure, but when we checked this morning, all of the wires were fixed properly. I just looked at it now and it seems like someone deliberately cut the wire that was holding down the flowers."

Yanis glanced at her watch and locked up her car before striding towards their workspace. "Let's re-secure everything before our client arrives," he said to Linda as they walked.

"But there's no time," Linda protested. "Some of these flowers are already damaged and we need to go to the flower market for replacements. It takes half an hour just to get there."

"I'll have someone take care of what's broken while you secure everything else," Yanis said firmly. "And I'll figure out a solution for getting fresh flowers."

Linda nodded, feeling overwhelmed by all that needed to be done.

As Yanis surveyed some of the fallen flowers on the ground, she furrowed her brow in thought.

The wire had been deliberately cut... Was this person targeting Bonnie or her?

After a momentary pause, Yanis hesitated before dialing Zane's number.

She regretted calling Zane as soon as she hit the button, but then Zane answered almost immediately with a greeting: "Yanis?"

Hearing Zane's voice through her phone made Yanis pause momentarily before responding: "Hey, are you busy right now?"

At this time of day Yanis figured that Zane would be swamped with work, so she felt bad about interrupting him.

"Just finished a meeting," replied Zane calmly from over their call line; "What's up?"

Feeling relieved after hearing that answer from him made some pressure lift off from inside her; "Can I ask Albi for help with something?"

"Sure thing," replied Zane without hesitation; "What do you need?"

With little time left, Yanis didn't beat around any bushes or waste any more time than necessary explaining himself: "We need fresh flowers... lots of them."

"Just send me what kind you want and I'll have Albi buy them for us."

"Thank you," responded Yanis gratefully over their call line.

"Don't thank me," laughed back Zane jovially over their call line connection; "I'm happy whenever you come asking me for help."The words sounded familiar to Yanis, but she didn't have time to think about it. "Okay."

After hanging up the phone, Yanis sent all the flower names she had used before to Zane and also sent the address of the wedding venue.

"Guests arrive at 11 o'clock. We're a bit tight on time," Yanis wrote.

Zane quickly replied: "They'll be there by 10:30 for sure."

Looking at Zane's message, Yanis felt inexplicably relieved.

"Yanis, we've almost finished setting up everything. All that's left are the flowers," Linda said.

Yanis listened to Linda and glanced at her watch. There were fifteen minutes left until 10:30.

"Let's wait a bit longer. They should be here soon."

In fact, Yanis was a little worried at this point. If they were late and couldn't keep up with their clients' schedule, it wouldn't look good for them.

And this was her first big job helping Bonnie plan a wedding. If something went wrong, she wouldn't know how to explain herself to Bonnie.

This wedding planning cost nearly hundreds of thousands of dollars; if anything went wrong, according to their contract with Bonnie, she would have to bear all those costs herself.

Putting aside those hundreds of thousands of dollars for now, what Yanis wanted most was just getting everything done properly for Bonnie as soon as possible.

Just when Yanis was feeling uneasy about everything going on around her right now - her phone rang suddenly in that moment.

She looked down at her phone screen and answered it immediately saying "Hello?"

It was Zane calling.

"Albi is here waiting outside; go check him out," he said over the line.

Upon hearing his words, Yaniss turned around and headed outside. At the gate, she saw Albi standing beside his car arranging people who were unloading flowers from inside it. "I see him," She replied back into the phone line.

Zane grunted in response without saying anything else after that.

Yaniss hesitated briefly before asking him again,"Are you free tonight?"

"Yes," He responded back promptly.

"In that case I'll call you later tonight."

Zane agreed readily enough, "Okay."

The two hung up without another word being spoken between them.

"Mrs Lawrence... Miss Thompson..." Albi greeted when he saw Yannis approaching him.

Yannis nodded in acknowledgement upon hearing his greeting,"Thankyou Albi, for running this errand."

Albi smiled back warmly, "It's my pleasure Miss Thompson. Please take a look if these are all correct; I ordered more as per your instructions."

Yannis took one glance inside his car filled with flowers, then nodded approvingly, "Everything looks great so far ; let me get some people out here help move them inside."
