Chapter 995: Stella, Can't You Stop Finding Someone Else?
Stella stood still for a moment before taking a step forward, "What are you doing here?"
After hearing Stella's question, Luca slowly looked up at her. His eyes were somewhat red, and his face looked flushed, as if he had been drinking too much. But Stella didn't ask about the alcohol. "Stella, you're back," Luca smiled at Stella when their eyes met.
Stella looked at him calmly, "Get up first."
Luca obediently stood up.
Maybe because he had been squatting for too long, Luca stumbled a bit while getting up and almost fell straight into Stella's arms.
Stella reached out to steady him, "How long have you been here?"
After Luca stabilized himself, he took a step back, keeping a certain distance from Stella, "I've been here for a while."
Stella opened the door, "You should go back. I need some rest."
Luca stood still and didn't move, just staring at Stella.
Stella looked back at him, "Do you have something else to say?"
Luca then took a step forward and said, "Stella, can't you stop replaceing someone else?"
Stella furrowed her eyebrows when she heard Luca's words, "What do you mean?"
"I... Stella, can you give me another chance?" Luca looked at Stella, his emotions seeming to overwhelm him as he grabbed her hand.
Stella instinctively tried to pull away, but Luca held her tightly, not letting go.
"Luca, let go of me!"
Luca not only didn't release her, but he also took a step forward and embraced her tightly, holding Stella in his arms.
Stella struggled desperately to break free, but her efforts were futile against Luca's strength.
Her tone turned icy as she said, "Luca, if you don't let go, I'll call for help."
Ignoring her words, Luca pushed Stella into the room and closed the door, locking it behind them. "Stella, please forgive me. I promise I won't hurt you again. Can't we be together again and start over?" "It's impossible!" Stella decisively rejected Luca's plea.
Suddenly, Luca seemed to lose control and forcibly kissed Stella.
Stella tried to avoid him, but the struggle led to both of them falling heavily to the ground.
The difference in strength between a man and a woman was substantial, especially when Luca's emotions were running high. Stella had no chance of escaping from his grasp.
A loud slap landed on Luca's face, but he still didn't let go of Stella.
From angry to pleading, and finally to crying, Stella's voice went through various emotions.
However, even this couldn't make Luca stop.
The sound of fabric tearing followed...
When it was over, Luca looked at Stella lying motionless on the ground and panicked. It was as if he had woken up from a trance and realized what he had done.
"Stella, I'm so sorry. I'm not human. I'm a monster! You..." Luca's voice trailed off as he began to regret his actions.
"Get out!" Stella's voice turned cold, interrupting Luca.
Luca looked at Stella with deep remorse, but now that the deed was done, it was too late to say anything.
Luca tried to help Stella up, but she shrank away from him in disgust. "Don't touch me!"
After saying that, Stella got up on her own, standing without a trace of self-esteem or shame, and walked into the bathroom. Once inside, she locked the door.
"Stella!"
As Stella closed the door, Luca's voice sounded outside.
Stella leaned against the door and said in a low voice, "If you don't leave, I'll call the police."
"Stella, please listen to me. I was wrong, you..." Luca's voice pleaded.
"I'll give you three seconds."
Before Luca could finish his sentence, Stella interrupted him.
The outside fell silent instantly.
Stella didn't care about Luca and turned on the shower, standing there unconcerned.
From ice-cold water to lukewarm, Stella stood there motionless.
She didn't know how much time had passed before she finally raised her hand and began vigorously scrubbing her skin.
Again and again, as if she wanted to scrub away a layer of her skin.
She kept scrubbing until her skin turned red and painful. Only then did she turn off the water and step out.
When she put on her clothes and went out, Luca was nowhere to be seen.
Stella stood in the same spot, looking at the place where the incident had occurred. Then, she turned around, fetched water, and used disinfectant to clean the area over and over again. By the time the morning light arrived, she was exhausted.
When the doorbell rang, Stella sat wearily on the floor and looked toward the entrance.
The doorbell continued to ring, and Stella sat on the floor for quite some time before finally getting up to open the door.
But there was no one at the door.
There was only a breakfast meal on the floor.
There was a sticky note on top of it.
Seeing the note, Stella knew who had left it. Without picking it up, she closed the door.
Luca, who had been hiding, sighed silently when he saw Stella didn't take the breakfast inside.
He was out of control last night, and he deeply regretted what he had done.
He wanted to apologize to Stella, but he knew she wouldn't see him.
At this moment, the elevator dinged, catching Luca's attention.
When he saw who came out of the elevator, he quickly retreated and hid to the side.
Sandy and Brandon walked out of the elevator. Sandy immediately noticed the takeout left by the door.
"Why did my sister order takeout so early?" Sandy said as she approached, picking up the bag from the floor. When she saw the sticky note on top, her eyebrows furrowed. [Stella, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have treated you like that. I was wrong!]
Sandy read the note and her frown deepened.
"Who left this?" Brandon asked, looking at Sandy, who was still holding the note.
Sandy was about to answer when she saw a pair of feet and quickly walked over.
Luca, upon hearing the sound, instinctively wanted to hide again, but there was nowhere to go this time.
So, as Sandy approached, she almost immediately saw Luca standing to the side. Her face turned cold, "What are you doing here?"
Brandon followed Sandy and also saw Luca.
Luca felt uncomfortable under Sandy's gaze and stammered, "Sandy, I... I..."
"Don't call me that," Sandy interrupted Luca in a cold voice. "I'm asking, what are you doing here?"
Sandy waved the sticky note in front of Luca, "Is this from you too?"
