Nydia’s heart ached as much as her body did. She sobered up most of the way from her wine, and she was so annoyed that she curled one of her knees and knocked him with it. “So what if you think I’m disgusting? You still married me. As long as Orson is around, I will always be Mrs. Jackson, and you will never be with her in your life. Why don’t you… Ouch!”
Nydia didn’t expect that Cade would suddenly lower his head and bite her hard on her lips. Instantly, the taste of blood filled her mouth, but she was more shocked than hurt.
“Go on! Keep talking! Keep moving your two little lips.” His smile was provocative.
Nydia was stunned, then grabbed a pillow and smashed it at him.
Cade dodged and backhanded Nydia’s shoulder. “You idiot! Do you want the Sharp to get the hell out of the Jackson Group completely?”
Nydia’s struggling hand froze abruptly in midair. Compared to the board, she was more afraid of Cade. He was a maniac. No one could stop him from doing what he wanted to do.
They were all bloodsuckers in the Jackson Group, pinching Nydia’s soft underbelly while acting like they were doing her a charity.
Nydia sneered and pushed him hard, ignoring the pain in her shoulder.
Cade, however, had no intention of letting go of her. He stared at her, his eyes bright. “You’re just as greedy as they are, still wanting the Sharp Group to rise again. What kind of daydreaming is that!”
“What are you talking about?” Nydia was perplexed and looked at him in shock,
“Did it ever occur to you why the board fussed about losing one project?” Cade asked coldly. “If you and your people don’t know how to keep a low profile, I swear you will p for your greed.”
Nydia stared at Cade incredulously. He had made it very clear that whatever she and her people from the Sharp Group were up to had been discovered by the Jackson Group’s directors. That was why they became more and more harsh on her.

Bringing the Sharp Group back to life was the long–cherished wish of the remaining people of the Sharp Group. As long as it was for this purpose, Nydia wouldn’t stop them no matter what they did.
She didn’t realize that Cade already knew about this till now.
Cade said this to her in a relaxing tone with a smile. But she felt a dangerous vibe about him. Then she remembered what the outsiders said about him. Ruthless, decisive, and domineering. He was the most powerful man in the business world, holding the power of the Jackson group in his twenties.
Nydia swallowed hard and calmed down completely. “So you know. What will you do about it?”
Cade looked satisfied with her reaction and curled the corners of his mouth. “Play your role well, and don’t mess around with other men again. Otherwise, I’ll make your life so miserable that you’d wish you
were dead.”
He was still smiling. But his words were ice cold. Cold and dangerous.
Nydia felt a chill down her back. She was fully convinced that he could easily destroy her at a hand’s turn.
The fists hanging down at her side spread out feebly. She sighed softly as if resigning herself to her fate. Her role was Mrs. Jackson, his good wife. After five years of training, it was a breeze for her.
A moment later, Nydia suddenly stretched out her arms and hooked them around Cade’s neck, blinking her watery eyes, “Honey, is that so?”
Cade was stunned momentarily, then scooped Nydia up and headed for the bedroom, saying coldly, “Since we are playing husband and wife, how come the most important part is missing, right, babe?”
Nydia was only trying to disgust him. She didn’t expect him to follow her and panicked at once.
“Cade, put me down! I’m still in pain from yesterday.” Nydia forcefully broke away from him and ran towards the living room.
Cade easily grabbed her back. The corner of his mouth hooked into a cold smile. “And where exactly does it hurt? I’ll take care of that.”
