Chapter 402 Doubt

Benjamin put down his schedule and documents, leaned back in his chair, and asked, "Where is he?" "He's in Dattlech. I've arranged for someone to keep an eye on him around the clock," Curtis replied. "Why didn't you bring him back directly?" Benjamin frowned.

Curtis explained, "Mr. Martin, we found out about Jorge's other connections during the investigation."

"What connections?" Benjamin inquired.

"Jorge might be related to Mrs. Martin. Jorge's wife, that nursing worker, has been taking care of Mrs. Martin's grandmother. The reason Jorge came to Mayby is to see his wife," Curtis revealed. Benjamin was not happy to hear that.

He didn't respond.

Curtis braced himself to continue, "Mr. Martin, if this matter is really related to Jorge, could Mrs. Martin also be aware of it?"

Benjamin remained silent, coldly glancing at Curtis.

He waved his hand to dismiss Curtis and sat alone in the office, lighting a cigarette.

If Jorge was that nursing worker's husband, it meant that Harper might know him.

Benjamin wondered if this matter was related to Harper.

Lost in thought, he only rose after a while, grabbed his car keys, and left the office.

Seeing him come out, Curtis quickly asked, "Mr. Martin, are you going out?"

"Postpone the morning work to the afternoon. Don't call me unless it's urgent," Benjamin said.

"Understood," Curtis replied.

Curtis watched Benjamin leave, feeling somewhat heavy. He now knew something he shouldn't have known, and he was worried about being silenced in the middle of the night. Benjamin drove to the hospital.

He bought some snacks for Eleanor. Harper wasn't there. Only the nursing worker was with her.

After Benjamin arrived, she went to do the laundry.

Eleanor looked at Benjamin and couldn't help but ask about the trending topic, "Have you and Harper been fighting recently? I was worried for several days after seeing what happened online. Harper insisted that you guys were fine. I asked her texbring you over, but she said nothing."

"No, we're fine." Benjamin peeled fruits for Eleanor. "The other day, there was a project starting at the company, so I didn't come to see

you. As for the trending topic, it's et

just media fabrication. Lauren and I have a cooperative relationship. Some things involve interests that can't be explained in a few words. You just need to know that I only have Harper and the child in my heart."

Eleanor was satisfied with his explanation.

After Benjamin peeled the apple and handed it to Eleanor, he wiped his hands with a tissue before saying, "Eleanor, is the nursing worker from Dattlech?" "Yes, when she was still in Dattlech, Harper contacted a domestic helper agency to replace her," Eleanor replied.

She didn't hide anything.

Benjamin asked, "Does she have anyone else in her family? She's been with you in Mayby for so long and hasn't taken a break."

"It seems like her child is studying in another city. But her husband came over a few days ago and stayed for two days before leaving. As for the rest, I'm not sure. Why are you

suddenly asking about this?"

Eleanor found it strange.

Benjamin remained composed and said, "Just asking. You're preparing for surgery, and I'm worried that something might come up with her, so I'm planning to replace a backup who can come over anytime." "You're considerate," Eleanor said.

"It's what I should do."

Benjamin smiled.

Then he tentatively asked, "Eleanor, do you know someone named Jorge?"
