I woke up with the dim early morning light coming from the window but did not open my eyes. I preferred to stay with my eyes closed and rest while the warmth of Maya’s body enveloped me.

She was lying all over me. Her bare, swollen breasts on my abdomen, her head resting on my chest, and her arm clinging to me like a leg. Her warm breath tickled my abdomen and gave me chills but I couldn’t help but feel completely at peace with myself.

I hugged her and caressed her bareback with my fingers, but she didn’t move completely. Maya was completely numb, and if it wasn’t for the breath that tickled my skin, I could think she was dead.

I sighed and gave her a k**s on the head, breathing her sweet perfume, sweeter than usual and I went back peacefully with her in my arms.

I suddenly woke up with Maya freeing herself from my hug quickly. I snorted and left her while she got up and practically ran over me to run out of the room. I heard her go into the bathroom and then choke m***s. I immediately got up and went to the bathroom, and found her leaning over the toilet while vomiting everything in her stomach, grabbing firmly at the ceramic cup.

I sat next to her and pulled her hair back while my other hand caressed her back. Her body was shaken by tremors as she kept vomiting her soul.

After a long time, she stopped and fell on the tablet while I flushed the toilet and she turned her head, resting her temple on my arm and looking at me with her face reddened and sweaty. I felt her face and it felt a little warm.

“You must have got a stomach bug,” I said, stroking her wet face.

Maya m***s with pain and closes her eyes “Stuffing ice cream in the middle of the night is not the best idea, you know that you risk a congestion”

Maya did not answer, but sighed “Do you want me to postpone the visit with the agency??”.

“We had to see them together,” she said in a lament.

“I know, love, but you can’t go around like this. I can put it off and stay here with you, we can postpone until you’re well,” I said.

“No it’s okay, you go too, I trust you. Take Axel, I’m not sure I can keep up with him,” she said.

I bent down and kissed her on the head before helping her to her feet. She went to the sink and brushed her teeth while I kept holding her hair behind her head.

When she was done, she leaned her back against me and closed her eyes, caressed her arm and turned to me, and then grabbed her by the thighs and pulled her up. Immediately Maya surrounded me with arms and legs and put her forehead on my temple while I carried her to our room.

“I feel like a rag,” she said in a lament.

“It’s all right, baby, I got it. You sleep,” I said as I put her in bed.

I handed her one of my T-shirts and she put it on and then leaned between the pillows and slept in less than a second.

I shook my head and went to Axel’s room.

I put on the stroller and took Axel out of the car and then I put him in his place and I tied him carefully to prevent him from slipping away and suddenly running away as I was sure he would.

Axel looked at me frowning like he wasn’t going to do anything.

“I know you, little man,” I said.

“No daddy,” he said seriously.

“Yeah, you don’t think you can fool me, Axel.”

“Axel no dool, daddy”

“Oh yes little pest”

“Axel no test, daddy, Axel good” he said nodding.

“Yes, you can tell by the look,” I said as I bent down to finish.

Axel grabbed my face with his hands and gave me a drooling k**s on the lips, with all the love possible. I laughed and got up and went to the first house we were planning to see.

When I got home it was past lunch and the apartment was completely empty and quiet. I frowned as I pushed the stroller into the house. Axel yawned, a sign that he had woken up.

I untied him and put him on the ground and he immediately ran by chance shouting “Mom!”.

I closed the stroller and took off my shoes before following Axel who had rushed into our room. When I came in I found him perched on top of Maya who was still in my shirt and face drowsy while Axel was talking to her on something that even he didn’t understand. Maya nodded and listened carefully as she rubbed her eyes with her hand.

I took off my shirt and went over to the bed and then I lay next to Maya, and I kissed her on the lips while Axel went on and on.

“How are you feeling?” I asked her.

“Great, I slept for five hours straight and now I’m starving,” she said.

“I don’t think it’s the case, yesterday after you threw up you took it back and this morning you got sick again, better eat light today,” I said.

Maya rolled her eyes and snorted.

“Mom!” Axel said, scolding her and grabbing her face and turning her towards him, “Litten me,” he said seriously.

Maya laughed and listened seriously.

After what were ten good minutes, Axel finished his monologue and began with “Hungry!”.

I sighed and I got out of bed as Axel jumped down and, with his little legs, ran out of the room.

“Sooner or later he’s going to get hurt,” Maya said, getting up as I went into the kitchen.

I found Axel trying to pull the chair from under the table, “What are you doing?” I asked and he immediately froze with his hands in the bag.

“Twiscuit Daddy,” he said.

“No biscuit, Axel, first you have to eat and after the cookie,” I said, pulling him up and putting him in his table seat.

Axel slammed his fists on the table “No! Axel twiscuit!” he shouted.

Maya walked into the kitchen and looked at him for a moment, “Stop Axel,” she said sternly.

Maya had worn denim shorts that showed off her beautiful legs, and a wide tank top without a bra.

“Axel tweetit!” he shouted again, slamming his fists on the table.

“No,” I said as I opened the fridge to get the sauce ready.

Maya put the pot with water on the fire and silently we began to cook while Axel claimed cookies.
