Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1000: Full responsibility for you
Farabee's words did not calm Arlice's anger, but made him even angrier.
He clenched his fists and his face was contorted with so much anger that it looked appalling.
"Love Edgar the most? Am I not his grandson?!" He questioned Farabee.
Sparing his own son, Farabee was still a little frightened to see him so angry and carefully returned, "Of course you are his grandson, so the Khan Group has you in it." "Not with my share, but all of it."
Arlice took a few deep breaths before suppressing his anger, "I'm definitely not going to make it easy for Edgar, and with this extra week, he still won't replace out anything." "Yes, yes, absolutely no way to replace out." Farabee echoed.
"Is Winchell out of the country?" Arlice asked.
"You don't have to worry about that, he's already out of the country and won't be back any time soon."
Arlice nodded, "That's good. Now it's down to Frankson, and as long as he doesn't wake up, Edgar will just have to meekly hand over the Khan Group."
"I heard that your second uncle and the others have been pulling in a few directors recently, should we do something about it?" Farabee asked.
Arlice snorted out a laugh, "Goode is really still thinking too shallowly, thinking that pulling in a few directors will give you an advantage on the board?"
"Those directors are shrewd as hell and will support whoever can really bring them greater benefits."
Farabee thought about it and wondered, "If you say so, wouldn't they be supporting Edgar? After all, Edgar has the Rogers Group as his backer."
"But Edgar's a loser, isn't he?" Arlice sneered, "As long as he doesn't handle this one, those directors will be disappointed in him, so what if he has the Rogers Group as his backer, incompetence is incompetence." Farabee finally put her foot down when she heard him say that, "That just couldn't be better, now all we can do is wait."
Arlice thought about it thoughtfully, then turned his head to look at him, "Dad, you do one more thing for me."
"What is it?"
"It's..." Arlice walked over and whispered in Farabee's ear.
After hearing this, Farabee nodded, "OK, I'm on my way."
Watching him go out, Arlice hooked his lips and smiled coldly, Edgar, Edgar, just you wait!
...
After dinner, Eloise went back to the hospital, while Hector went to the Khan Group.
Edgar was busy sorting out the whole warehouse fire when there was a sudden knock on the door. Without looking up, he said, "Come in."
Thinking it was Ivor, he asked straight away, "What is it?"
No answer.
So he looked up and immediately got up when he saw the visitor, "Hector, what brings you here?"
"Eloise asked me to take a look." Hector looked at him with indifference.
"Is it because of what happened with Frankson?" Edgar asked.
Hector said, "Well, did you get the guy?"
"Not yet." Edgar sighed, "The other man has disguised himself and is clever enough to avoid almost all the monitors and the police are having a headache now." Seeing that he was also in a headache, Hector made a rare reassuring comment, "People will catch it."
Edgar shrugged his shoulders, "Hopefully."
In fact, he did not hold much hope, since the other side had decided to make a move, they must have prepared for everything.
So, the most important thing for him now is to start with the Boddy family and replace a way to break through.
"Can I help you with anything?" Hector asked.
Edgar thought for a moment and shook his head, "Not yet."
Suddenly, something occurred to him, "But there's something else I really need your help with."
"What is it?"
"The new company has slowly been set up and is currently being run by Earlene, so I thought you, as one of the company's partners, should meet with her?" "It's not necessary."
Hector declined his offer.
Edgar frowned, "Why?"
"Eloise doesn't like it."
"What?" Edgar didn't understand.
"If I don't need to help, then I'll go first."
Hector wasn't going to explain much and turned around to leave.
At this point, Edgar suddenly responded, "You're afraid Eloise will be angry, aren't you?"
Hector's feet hit the floor and his brow furrowed slightly.
Only to hear Edgar say, "You can rest assured of this, Earlene and Eloise are friends and Eloise won't be that petty."
Of course he knew Eloise wasn't petty, that was just a random excuse he made.
Hector turned and looked at Edgar with an expressionless face, his thin lips parted lightly, his voice as unmoving as his expression.
"You'll just be in full charge of the company."
"How would that work? I can't make the call." Edgar sighed.
The main thing is that he is now too busy with the Khan Group to be bothered with the new company.
Hector understood him, thought about it, and said, "Then I will send someone over, and you can all speak to him directly then if you have any situation."
At this, Edgar frowned, "Hector, is this your intention to let the new company go?"
Hector curled his lips plausibly, "Yes."
The initial aim of setting up the new company was to see if it would be possible to bring together renowned researchers from around the world and then have them study the virus in Eloise's body to see if an effective anti-viral drug could be developed.
Now that it is half complete and the researchers are available, all that remains is for the company's research institute to officially begin work when the time comes.
He answered so righteously that Edgar was at a loss for words for a moment.
"So do you want to show Eloise around the new company?" Edgar was still undeterred.
"There's time for that." Hector raised his eyebrows slightly, "Nothing much, I'll be off." Having said that, without waiting for Edgar's reaction, he strides away.
Edgar was in tears, what kind of collaboration is this?
He simply wanted to be a shirker from the start.
...
Earlene parked her car in the car park outside the Khan Group building, grabbed the bag of papers she had left on the passenger seat, then opened the door and got out of the car to walk inside the building. Suddenly a familiar figure came into view.
Her feet stopped and she stared at the figure approaching from afar, a hint of excitement in her eyes. It's him.
She squeezed her palms tightly, whirled them loose, took a deep breath and walked briskly over. "Mr Hector."
At the sound of the voice, Hector subconsciously stopped and turned his head to follow the sound.
At the sight of Earlene, there was a slight frown, followed by a return to an unruffled expression.
"Mr Hector, what are you doing here?" Earlene's voice was slightly agitated.
"Hello." Hector didn't reply, but gave a light, detached greeting.
Earlene was unimpressed as she handed over the papers in her hand, "Here's the operational plan for the new company, take a look."
Hector didn't pick it up, "You can just talk to Mr Edgar."
With those words, he strides towards his car.
Earlene watched him leave, loss written on her eyes and face.
