Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1046: Eighty percent sure

Rosero went to City J himself, only to learn that Hector wasn't there, and handed the flash drive to Rupert.

"Hard work guys." Rupert clutched the flash drive into his hand and smiled gratefully at Rosero.

"No hard work." Rosero raised an eyebrow, "Where's your brother?"

"He's gone to Italy."

"Italy?" Rosero exclaimed, "What's he going to do?"

"I don't know."

Rupert chose to keep it to himself as he didn't want to worry too many people.

"You're his brother and you don't even know?" Rosero didn't believe him.

Rupert laughed helplessly, "You don't know my brother's personality, he always does everything in secret, not to mention I'm his brother, even my parents don't know." Rosero agreed with this, "That's true."

Rupert looked down at the flash drive in his hand and asked, "Nothing else happened, did it?"

Although he was asking without a clue, Rosero knew what he was asking and sighed heavily, "Manzanares' men have been arrested and could go to jail."

Rupert's brow furrowed, "How did that happen?"

"You don't have to worry." Rosero patted his shoulder, "We'll take care of this, and besides, we're lucky to keep our lives."

After all, Pierce was no pushover, and it was unfortunate for them that they had chosen to call the police to deal with it this time.

"If there's anything you need help with, feel free to talk to me."

His brother had specifically instructed him before he left for Italy that he had to keep an eye on the Manzanares and their situation and that he must step in if he needed help. Rosero smiled, "I know."

The two men talk for a while longer before Rosero leaves.

Rupert, meanwhile, took the flash drive to the Institute.

AlmeidaSener was struggling with the lack of progress in her research, both of their heads were scratching, but there was still no breakthrough.

Rupert's sudden arrival surprised them both.

"Master Rupert, what brings you here?" Almeida asked.

"To bring you something."

Rupert walked up to them and held out his hand.

"A USB stick?" Almeida looked at the flash drive in his hand and turned her head to look at Sener with a puzzled expression.

Sener was equally puzzled as he picked the flash drive up and looked at it, asking, "What's this?"

"It contains all the information about the virus." Rupert said.

At that, Almeida instantly got excited and he grabbed the flash drive, "Master Rupert, is it true what you say?"

Seeing him so excited that his hand was shaking as he held the flash drive, Rupert couldn't help but lose his smile, "Of course it's true, what am I lying to you for?" "Where did this... come from?" Sener asked.

"My brother found a way to get it." Rupert grinned when he saw they were still standing still, "Aren't you going to open it and take a look?"

Almeida quickly turned and rushed to the computer, inserting the USB stick, which he opened as soon as the reading progress bar ended.

Instantly, the information about the virus was displayed in front of him.

Sener stood behind him, his eyes slowly widening in disbelief as he saw the contents of the computer screen.

It was indeed the full profile of the virus.

After months of painstaking research, they had only worked out part of the structure of the virus, but on this file was the detailed breakdown of the virus.

Almeida's hand was shaking as he gripped the mouse, he was really excited.

With this information, there was hope for their research.

Rupert walks over, smiles and asks, "How's that? The information is true, isn't it?"

Almeida and Sener turned back at the same time.

"It's true." Almeida couldn't hide the excited smile on her face, "Sener and I will immediately start to break down the structure of the components of the virus with this information, and if there are no surprises, we should be able to research an effective drug to suppress the virus or even eliminate it."

"What percentage is certain?"

Almeida glanced at the information on the computer, the corners of her mouth curled up and she said confidently, "At least 80%."

Rupert nodded, "Good, then, I'll wait for your good news."

...

As soon as Rawlins heard that Earlene had turned down Pierce's offer, he rushed to replace Earlene to ask for clarification.

After being briefed by his secretary, Rawlins walked into Earlene's office.

"Yes?" Earlene looked up from her pile of papers and gave Rawlins a cold stare.

Rawlins glanced at the pile of folders on her desk and asked with a smile, "Is this disturbing you?"

"If you know it's bothering me, then you shouldn't have come."

She always had a way of silencing him in one sentence.

Rawlins took a deep breath, suppressing the anger that almost came up, and pulled the corners of his mouth up reluctantly, "I came to ask you, did you really say no to Pierce?"

"What does it matter to you if I turned it down or not?"

This time, Rawlins couldn't hold back and scolded in annoyance, "Earlene, can you speak properly? I'm your big brother, not your enemy!"

Earlene's little face was cold and silent.

Rawlins took a deep breath, suppressed his anger and said patiently, "Of course it's my business, you're my sister, the vice president of the Bartram Group and the head of the Institute, if you say yes to this, where will I replace someone to take over from you?"

I thought he was going to say he couldn't let go or something.

Earlene smiled sarcastically, "So the company is the most important thing to you."

It was only when she said that that Rawlins realised what was wrong and quickly remedied the situation, "That's not what I meant. You're the most important thing to me, whether it's the Institute or me, and I can't do it without you." "Is that so?" Earlene raised a thin eyebrow, "How come I didn't know I was that important?"

"I ..." Rawlins was about to explain, when he suddenly realised he had circled back, and hastily turned the conversation around, "Since you refused, there is no point in the company working with the SA Group."

"You don't have to refuse, they won't work with us either." Earlene gave him a cold look, "It was meant for me, I refused, and the company is out of luck. Are you disappointed?"

"Disappointed?" Rawlins frowned, "Why should I be disappointed? I couldn't be happier."

He didn't even care about working with SA Group as long as she could stay in Kyoto and stay with the company.

"You better be, so you don't complain about me later."

"How could I complain about you?" Rawlins looked at her helplessly.

Earlene walked back behind her desk, closed the spread out papers and said in a cold voice, "I'll be at the Institute for a while. So in the meantime, you're responsible for handling the company yourself." "What will you be working on?" Rawlins asked.

"You don't have to ask, because you don't understand either."

Rawlins nodded, "Okay, I won't ask. Then you always have to tell me how long you're staying?"

"A few days." Earlene's eyes sank a few shades; that virus wasn't easy to study and I'm afraid a few days wouldn't be enough time.

"Fine then, just focus on your research and leave the company to me."

As long as it was something she wanted to do, he would definitely give his full support.
