Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1045: Better than being separated forever
Over here, Hector arrives in Sicily, Italy.
Ramm picked him up at the airport and as soon as he got into the car, he asked, "Have you found the institute where Professor Curry is?"
"Not yet." Ramm glanced at Hector in the rear view mirror and continued, "We suspect that Professor Curry and his team may not be in Italy." Hector frowned, "How so?"
"Because we've searched everywhere, almost all of Italy, and we just can't replace Professor Curry."
"So you suspect it's not in Italy?"
Ramm nodded, "That's right."
Hector's eyes narrowed slightly, "The most dangerous place is the safest, maybe it's nearby."
"Prince, you mean it could be near those institutes?"
"Look again carefully, you should replace something." Hector said.
"Aye. As soon as I drop you off at the hotel, I'll send someone to check it out."
After that, the compartment fell silent.
Hector leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes.
Ramm looked away and wordlessly turned up the air conditioning in the car.
When they arrived at the hotel, Ramm put his suitcase in the room and left straight away.
Hector walks over to the sofa and sits down, surrounded by silence. He is silent and thoughtful for a while before taking out his mobile phone and dialing a number.
The other end picked up quickly, accompanied by a quizzical voice ringing out, "Hector, how did you replace the time to contact me?"
"I'm in Italy." The name of the place was spat out faintly from thin lips.
"You're in Italy? Don't you lie to me!" The man over there was clearly not convinced.
Hector got up, walked over to the window and brushed the curtains open, the sunlight poured in instantly as he looked out at the street scene, the corners of his mouth curling up seemingly. "Killers, any interest in working with me?"
...
Killers hung up the phone and drove the car all the way to the hotel in a breeze.
Fortunately, at this time of day, there weren't many cars on the road and it took about ten minutes to get to the hotel.
Hector was a little surprised when he opened the door and saw her, "How did you move so fast?"
"You've been in Italy for a long time, and as an old friend of yours, I had to come and see you."
Hector raised his eyebrows and didn't answer.
He walked over to the sofa and sat down, his long legs folded, his body sinking back into the sofa, an air of laziness around him.
Killers raised his eyebrows slightly and walked over to sit opposite him, his red lips curving up, "Say, what are you doing in Italy this time?"
"Get yourself anything you want to drink."
Hector suddenly said, Killers froze, then reacted, shaking her head and laughing, "You're not right, I'm really impressed."
With that, she got up and walked towards the bar, asking as she did so, "Do you want something to drink?" "Coffee."
At that, Killers looked back at him, "Have you eaten yet?"
"No."
"How dare you drink coffee when you haven't eaten, your stomach doesn't want it?"
Killers warmed up a glass of milk for him and made himself a cup of coffee.
"Here, drink the milk." Killers handed him the milk.
"You, take care of yourself, or your wife will worry at home." Killers sat down, jokingly and half seriously.
"Thanks." Hector took a sip of his milk.
Killers looked at him, "Now can you tell me what you really want to do in Italy?"
Hector lifted his eyes to look at her, "Wanna know?"
"That's bullshit you're asking. You asked me on the phone if I was interested in working with you, so I should know what to work on, right?"
Hector lowered his eyes and pondered for a moment before speaking slowly, "I'm here because I want to get the drug from Bergerian that will destroy the virus." Killers eyes widened, "Are you crazy, you know what Bergerian is, don't you?"
"Of course I know."
Bergerian's power in Italy was the equivalent of his power at home and was not easy to deal with.
"If you know that, why do you want to take the risk?" Killers couldn't understand.
"Eloise can't wait."
His voice was low, with a breathless depression.
Killers didn't know what to say at once.
A dead silence fell around them.
Hector's head was bowed, a faint sense of powerlessness enveloping his body.
He had always been spirited, and it was rare to see him like this.
Knowing how deeply he felt for Eloise, Killers took a deep breath and said, "How do you want me to help you, just ask."
Warming his voice, Hector looked up.
Killers skimmed his lips and said uncharitably, "I should never have met you or become friends with you in the first place if I owed you anyway."
Hector chuckled softly, "You sound like you're reluctant."
"Come on, cut the crap."
"You have more contacts in Italy than I do, help replace out where Professor Curry is."
Killers frowned, "That's it?"
"No, there are others." Hector paused, "We want to attack a few of Bergerian's institutes, but don't want him to know I did it."
Hearing this, Killers immediately understood, "You want me to take the fall again?"
Hector shrugged his shoulders and nodded noncommittally.
"Hector, why are you going so far?"
If she hadn't known him for so many years, she would have wanted to smack him around, making her take the fall every time and really thinking Bergerian wouldn't retaliate? "I believe you." Hector said.
Killers sneered disdainfully, "I don't need your trust."
Hector raised an eyebrow, "So... you're not going to help me, are you?"
"Did I say that?" Killers sighed heavily, "And I really do owe you that. But I'm warning you, this is the last time. I don't want the Gormless Gate to be a thorn in Bergerian's side, those are my brothers." "There won't be a next time." Hector said, "Anyway, thank you."
Killers snorted, "Who needs your thanks. You don't give me any trouble and I'm all good."
That said, she was still mentally figuring out how she was going to help him replace someone.
"How long do you plan to stay in Italy?" Killers suddenly remembered this.
"Get the medicine and then leave."
This time he was here for the medicine, so he would have to get it before he left.
"How can you leave Eloise?" asked Killers, looking at him curiously.
"It's better to be apart for a short time than to be separated forever."
Having said that, Hector's expression sank.
The air was a little oppressive again and Killers, feeling he couldn't stay any longer, said, "Nothing else, I'll leave now, I'll let you know when I have news."
"Take care on your way."
Killers nodded and turned to stride away.
Hector was left alone in the large room, he looked around and leaned back against the back of the sofa, his eyes gazing at the ceiling, a self-deprecating smile curling the corners of his mouth. What a loser, it had only been a short time since he had left and he was already thinking about Eloise.
