Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1064: The Unknown Drug Ingredient

At these words, Brimlad was shocked and angry, "Who was so bad? To inject a virus into your body!"

Eloise laughed, "Someone who once did me a favour."

"Even if he did help you, that's no reason for him to do it. Can he afford to pay for it if you lose your life because of it?!"

The more Brimlad thought about it, the more frightened she became; she couldn't even imagine how Eloise had managed to survive after contracting the virus.

"Auntie, I'm fine now, aren't I? You mustn't think about the bad things." Eloise somewhat regretted telling Brimlad about it and making her worry for herself too.

"Silly child." Brimlad took her hand, heartache written all over his face, "Why didn't you even tell us? You were alone, no, and Hector, how did you guys make it through?"

When Eloise saw how worried she was, she didn't dare say anything else, she just smiled and said, "Maybe it's because I have a strange constitution, the virus didn't kick in and that's why I'm alive and well." "Then what's the matter with every time you faint?"

Brimlad didn't know whether to be happy or sad at the look of her big heart.

"When I get emotional, I faint, it's nothing."

Eloise's glib explanation didn't reassure Brimlad and she sighed, "Why are you such a miserable child? If I had known I should have taken the initiative to ask the old man to get you back so that you would have suffered a lot less." "I'm back now, aren't I?" Eloise put her arm around her and rested her head affectionately on her shoulder.

"It's late." Brimlad was distraught at the thought of the virus.

"Not too late, not at all." Eloise let go and looked at Brimlad with a serious look on her face, "Auntie, I'm really good now, with the extra love from you and my brother-in-law and my cousin, I'm really extra special and happy." Watching her struggle to comfort herself, the corners of Brimlad's eyes couldn't help but moisten, smiling as he patted her hand, "I know, we'll love you more in the future and make up for all the old ones." "Good." Eloise rested her head on her shoulder again.

A few hours later, Almeida and Sener finally emerged from the room.

Eloise went to her room to rest first because she was tired, and only Edgar and Brimlad waited outside the room.

"What's the result?" Edgar asked, speaking up.

Almeida pondered for a moment, "The results are a little strange."

Brimlad was anxious at this, "What's wrong? Has the virus kicked in or something?"

"Mrs. Brimlad, take it easy for a moment." Sener soothed gently, "It's not a virus attack, it's an unknown drug ingredient in Miss Eloise's blood."

Edgar didn't understand, "Can you guys be any clearer?"

"Well ..." Almeida thought for a moment, "Has Miss Eloise taken any medication recently?"

Edgar and Brimlad looked at each other and shook their heads, "No."

Almeida frowned, "That's odd. If Miss Eloise didn't take any medication, then what's going on?"

Edgar suddenly thought of something, "Wait a minute. I did have Eloise checked out earlier when Eloise fainted and she and Eloise were the only ones in the room at the time, so maybe she gave Eloise her medication." "Earlene?" asked Almeida uncertainly.

Edgar nodded, "Well, it was her."

Almeida raised an eyebrow, "That's a possibility. Can you ask around for me?"

"Sure."

Edgar pulled out his phone and called Earlene.

It was quickly answered, "Edgar, what can I do for you?"

Earlene's voice came through and Edgar looked at Almeida and asked, "Earlene, have you been giving Eloise any medication?"

There was a silence on the other side of the phone.

Edgar took the phone off and saw that it was still on the line.

So, he put it back to his ear and called out tentatively, "Earlene, are you listening?"

"Why do you ask?"

Earlene's voice finally rang out again.

"I, Hector, had someone come over to check Eloise's body, and they checked out an unknown drug component in Eloise's blood." "Yes, I did inject her with the drug."

Edgar, who had only been guessing, was shocked when he got the exact reply, "What did you ... you injected her with?"

Almeida and Sener were both surprised as well once they heard this.

"A drug I researched, it's not poisonous, don't worry."

Edgar looked to Almeida.

Almeida brought his phone over to him, "Hello, can you tell me what the drug is?"

"I said it's a drug I worked out myself." Earlene's tone was a little impatient.

"Then could you please give me some?" Almeida asked.

Earlene sneered, "I researched the medicine, why should I give you a little? Besides, isn't she fine, that proves there's nothing wrong with my medicine, doesn't it?" "But..."

Almeida was about to say something else but was cut off, "Well, I'm busy, that's all."

The call was hung up straight away.

Almeida couldn't help but laugh, "This Earlene has quite a temper."

"Maybe she misunderstood and thought we were blaming her." Edgar subconsciously spoke up for Earlene.

"Whether she misunderstood or not, this act of her injecting Miss Eloise with drugs in private is just wrong." Sener said with a serious look.

He couldn't even imagine the damage that had to be done to Miss Eloise in case that drug wasn't right.

The mere thought of it sent a chill down his back.

"So what happens now?" Brimlad asked.

"Luckily Miss Eloise is fine and the drug has only had a suppressive effect on the virus, nothing major."

Almeida's words were a relief of sorts to Brimlad and Edgar.

"It's good that it's okay, it's good that it's okay." Brimlad was also a bit scared, she couldn't help but hit Edgar, "It's all your fault, you shouldn't have called Earlene, what would you have done if something had happened?" Edgar was innocent, "I didn't know Earlene would do that."

Sener frowned, "No, how could she have worked on a drug to deal with the virus, was she doing research on the virus too? And where did the virus come from?"

His question was also Almeida's.

"I don't think this Earlene is that simple." Almeida said, "It's better to tell Miss Eloise to hang out with her less in the future, before something happens."

At that, Brimlad rushed to speak up for Earlene: "You misunderstand Earlene, she is a very nice girl and is good friends with Eloise, she won't harm Eloise." "Mum, just listen to them." Edgar said.

It wasn't that he didn't think Earlene was easy, but the person Earlene liked was Hector, and it wasn't good to have too much to do with Eloise after all. "But..." Brimlad really didn't want anyone to misunderstand Earlene, after all, in her mind, Earlene was the most satisfactory candidate for her daughter-in-law. "Well, Mum, I know you like Earlene, but it's not possible for us." Edgar said in all seriousness.

Brimlad frowned, "Why is that impossible?"

For some reason, Edgar suddenly thought of the girl in the duck tongue hat and the corners of his mouth involuntarily rose, "There's no reason, impossible means impossible."
