Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1066: Waking up laughing in my dreams
As soon as Silvia heard this, she immediately shouted shrilly, "That's not what you said at home obviously! What the hell do you want? Say what you said to me at home here!" Figge lowered his head to hide the glint in his eyes and muttered, "You made me say it, I didn't want to say it."
Brimlad heard it and understood what was going on at once.
She looked over at Silvia and couldn't help but sneer, "Second sister-in-law, you really are doing everything you can to frame Eloise. Even throwing such dirty water on Eloise, you've gone too far!" "I ... where I've gone too far!"
Silvia was so furious that she rushed up and grabbed Figge's arm, cursing, "Bitch, you're embarrassing me on purpose, aren't you?!"
"I didn't ..." Figge's eyes were red and her expression very aggravated.
Eloise knew she was acting, but was thankful that she wasn't telling the truth, otherwise Second Aunt wouldn't have let herself off the hook.
"Second Sister-in-law, I know you don't like Figge, but you don't have to give her a hard time like that, do you?"
Brimlad couldn't stand it anymore and stepped forward to pull Figge behind himself, looking coldly at Silvia.
"This bitch, she told me it was Eloise who told her to come to the door and make trouble, and now she's changing her story, if she didn't mean it, then what did she mean?" Silvia yelled shrilly at Brimlad.
"I don't care what she said before, but if she says it's not Eloise, then it's not Eloise!" said Brimlad, standing firm in defence of Eloise.
Eloise pursed her lips and spoke carefully, "Second Aunt, Young Aunt, don't argue. Whether or not I let Figge come to the door and make trouble, it can't be a lie that she's carrying Cousin Goode's baby, can it?" It took her a moment for Brimlad to respond, "Yes, Eloise is right, the baby is Goode's, so Goode is responsible!"
Silvia was left speechless and could only glare at Eloise with a vicious glare.
Eloise just pretended not to see.
As long as Figge didn't tell the truth, there was nothing Silvia could do about it.
Brimlad calmed down and advised Silvia nicely, "Second sister-in-law, you're going to be a mother-in-law and a grandmother now, can't you stop that temper of yours?"
At this, Silvia sneered and asked her, "If Edgar were to marry such a woman, would you be happy?"
"Of course I'd be happy. I can't wait for Edgar to bring me back a pregnant girlfriend, then I'd wake up laughing in my dreams."
Hearing this, Eloise couldn't help but smile; it seemed that her brother-in-law really wanted to hold a grandchild.
"That... that's silly of you!" Silvia really didn't know what to say.
Brimlad sighed, "I'm not stupid. I just feel for the baby, and no matter what kind of person Figge is, you have to be nice to her now that she's pregnant. For the baby's sake, be forgiving." Figge whimpered in a small voice.
There was no need to think about it to know that she must be having a hard time.
With that in mind, Eloise walked over and patted Figge on the back.
Figge lifted her head and looked at her with teary eyes.
"If you need anything in the future, just talk to me, I'll help if I can." Eloise whispered to her.
Figge tried hard to smile, but the tears fell even harder, and finally she just whispered "thank you".
No matter how hard her time with the Khan family was, it was better than being a single mother.
"You're kind, you're forgiving, all right?"
Silvia had come to settle the score with Eloise, but the bitch had changed her tune and gotten a lecture from Brimlad.
Really pissed off!
She stepped forward, pulled Figge to her side when Brimlad wasn't looking, and pinched Figge's arm hard, lowering her voice to a curse, "Bitch, let's see what I'll do to you when I get back." Although she deliberately kept her voice low, Brimlad heard her.
She frowned, "Second sister-in-law, if you can't take care of Figge properly, why don't you let her stay with me for now, and I'll send her back on the day of the wedding."
"Stay with you?" Silvia thought she had misheard, "Is she your daughter-in-law or my daughter-in-law?"
"She's my niece-in-law, it's only right that I take care of her." Brimlad said calmly.
"No need for that!" Silvia refused her kind offer, "Since she is marrying Goode, I have to teach her the house rules of the Khan family, so I am not wrong to be harsh with her." Brimlad laughed at this, "Sister-in-law, when did the Khan family have rules? Why didn't I know?"
"When I say so." Silvia took the stance that she was in charge.
"Auntie, stop it. I'm sure Second Aunt won't treat Figge badly." Eloise really didn't want to talk to Silvia about all this nonsense anymore and just reminded, "When Grandpa wakes up, he'll be happy to see his little great-grandson." Silvia's face changed at the mention of the old man.
Brimlad noticed and followed Eloise's words, "Sister-in-law, take care of Figge, it's the first great-grandson of the Khan family, and like Eloise said, Grandpa will be very happy when he wakes up."
If they hadn't mentioned it, Silvia would have forgotten there was such a thing.
"I know, I don't need you guys to tell me."
Silvia didn't want to admit that she had been convinced by them and could only cover herself with a bad tone of voice.
Brimlad and Eloise looked at each other and laughed in unison.
"Back to it." Silvia yanked Figge and headed out the door.
Figge smiled back at Brimlad and Eloise gratefully.
Brimlad sighed, "I hope your second aunt is really good to Figge, otherwise it's really weird and pathetic."
"Will do. For the sake of the old man and the great-grandson, she'll definitely take care of people."
Although she hadn't been back with the Khan family for long, she had seen all of her great-uncle and second-uncle very clearly, all profit-minded people, so how could she miss such a good opportunity to please the old man? Brimlad nodded and turned his head to look at Eloise, "Eloise, tell me honestly, was it you who let Figge come to the door and make a scene or not. The trouble?"
In front of Silvia, she was definitely helping Eloise, but with this man gone, she still had to get to the bottom of things.
Eloise bit her lower lip, not sure how to answer for a moment.
"It's you, isn't it?" Brimlad asked tentatively.
Knowing there was no hiding it, Eloise nodded, "Well, it's me."
Brimlad sighed in relief and couldn't help but smile, "I knew it was you."
"I'm sorry, Auntie, I know I shouldn't have done it, but..."
Eloise tried to explain but Brimlad cut her off, "I know, you were trying to teach Goode a lesson, weren't you?"
"Hmm."
"Then it wasn't done wrong. He's the one who should take responsibility for everything he's done."
Eloise sighed in relief, "I thought you were going to scold me."
"How could I scold you?" Brimlad patted her shoulder, "Don't think too much about it, Goode just doesn't deserve a lesson and if he doesn't teach it, he might get into a lot of trouble in the future."
