Chapter 108: Why didn't you wait for me?

Back at the office, Eloise Thompson's mind was still in turmoil as the scene from the restaurant came back to her, especially the heartbeat that still seemed to linger when he kissed her at the bathroom door. Eloise Thompson can only force herself to calm down with work.

By five o'clock she had finished the task at hand and Eloise Thompson spoke to Layla Davidson, intending to leave the office early.

"Eloise, what's wrong? Is it something urgent?" Layla Davidson asked, speaking up.

Eloise Thompson shook her head, "Nah, just wanted to go see my mum."

Eloise Thompson was worried that he would come straight down to the office to meet her, so she thought she would leave early. She wanted to go home, but she was worried that he would look for her, so she went straight to the hospital to visit her mother.

Layla Davidson didn't say no either, "Hurry up then!"

Not long after Eloise Thompson left, Hector Rogers arrived at JS Creative Company.

Eloise Thompson blanched and her stepsister saw the difference and burst out laughing.

Just then Robbie Gardner came back from getting the baby pill and Agnes Thompson came up, took her hand and said, "Robbie, what a coincidence! I ran into my sister at the hospital and heard she's been dumped by Mr Hector! Don't you think it's tragic."

Robbie Gardner sneered, put her arm around Agnes Thompson and glanced faintly at Eloise Thompson and said, "Come on, I'd be happy if your sister was happy." "Happiness? Then I'm afraid it's hard for her to get it."

He walked straight up to Eloise Thompson and that low, magnetic baritone voice spoke, "Why didn't you wait up for me, I didn't mean to come to you."

Robbie Gardner and Agnes Thompson had shock in their eyes, they could not have imagined that Hector Rogers and Eloise Thompson were still seeing each other.

The point is, with what Hector Rogers said to Eloise Thompson, there didn't seem to be any problems between these two at all over what happened at the party, what happened to the Rogers family who allowed such access to Hector Rogers? Thinking about what they had just said to Eloise Thompson, Agnes Thompson and Robbie Gardner just felt a burning pain in their faces.
