Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1084: He'll be my husband in the future

Hector walked out of the Institute and saw Bergerian head on.

"Mr Hector, good evening." Bergerian looked at him with a smile.

Hector's steps were halted, his hands slowly clenched at his side, and his cold eyes looked at him.

"Why didn't you let me know you were coming to Italy? I would have done you the honour of being a good host."

Bergerian was smiling, but he could still feel the coldness in his smile.

"How dare I disturb you, Mr Bergerian?" Hector's voice did not rise or fall.

"What is there to be afraid of disturbing?" Bergerian looked behind him at the Institute and the smile on his face increased, "You're not disturbing me, but you're making a bigger show of it, aren't you?" Hector didn't make a sound.

"Tell me how many institutes you've ruined for me?" Bergerian raised an eyebrow at him, "If you won't tell me, I'll do it for you. A while back you destroyed several of my institutes and took a sample of part of the virus. This time you destroyed my most important institute outright, but unfortunately you didn't get the most core research."

As he said this, Bergerian did not hide the smugness on his face.

"Are you wondering why my people could withdraw so quickly?"

Hector's brow twitched slightly, but he simply looked at him in silence.

"Because I already knew you were coming to Italy."

This, in fact, Hector had expected.

"I recognised you at my wife's birthday party." Bergerian said, "And since you are my worst enemy, I know you best."

After the destruction of the Institute some time ago, he had gotten to know Hector thoroughly, from his family background to the little habits he usually had.

"So you set this up today, did you?" Hector asked.

"That's right. That's where I was waiting for you to come."

Bergerian turned to his men and said, "Why don't you all welcome Commissioner Mr Hector."

At these words, his men shouted in unison, "Welcome Mr Hector."

When Ramm and Killers heard the commotion, they looked at each other and turned to run out.

As soon as they got out and saw Bergerian, both of them were startled.

"Prince, what's going on?" Ramm ran over to Hector, his guarded gaze locked on Bergerian as they did so.

"Nothing." Hector gave him a sidelong glance, the corners of his lips curling if anything, and lowered his voice, "Figure out how to get rid of them later."

Ramm nodded, "Good."

Killers heard this and hastened to advise, "Don't do anything rash, who knows if they have any more ambushes."

Bergerian saw that all of Hector's men were out and, with a change from his smiling face, said grimly, "Mr Chief Hector, I'd like to buy you a drink, I assume you have time?" "And if I say no?" Hector asked instead of answering.

"Then don't blame me for doing it."

At Bergerian's words, the men behind him took out their guns.

Seeing this, Ramm hurriedly stepped in front of Hector, while the others also took a few steps forward, pointing their guns at Bergerian and the others as well.

The atmosphere became tense as the two sides confronted each other.

Killers looked around, leaned into Hector's ear and said, "If we can't, we'll retreat back into the Institute and replace another way out."

Hector glanced at her, looking thoughtful.

Just then, a woman's voice came through.

"Mr Bergerian, it's late and you're still busy."

The voice was familiar.

Hector looked at the voice and his pupils locked, but it was Earlene.

Earlene's gaze swept past his face as if inadvertently and landed on Bergerian.

"Miss Earlene, what brings you here?" Bergerian frowned, glaring at her with slight displeasure.

"Passing through."

It would be a fool to believe that she was "passing through".

But Bergerian didn't poke fun at her, instead he smiled and said, "That's quite a coincidence."

The sarcasm in his words was lost on Earlene as she smiled at Brimlad and said, "I know Mr Hector and I are old friends, so I wonder if Mr Bergerian would let him come with me for my sake." "You want to take him away?" Bergerian asked.

Earlene nodded, "Yes, I wonder if you would agree?"

"Conditions." Bergerian threw out those words straight away.

"The condition is that the Bartram family will provide any herbs you are short of in the future, free of charge."

Bergerian was surprised to hear this, "That's a lot of money for a man, Miss Earlene."

"He's going to be my husband, so that's nothing."

"Oh." Bergerian gave an ambiguous look, "So you have a crush on someone."

Earlene didn't try to hide it, she admitted it, "Yes."

"Mr Hector, you have Miss Earlene to thank for that, I wouldn't have let you go without her." Bergerian shouted at Hector. "No need for that. Aren't you going to buy me a drink? Go on then."

Hector would rather leave after Bergerian than let Earlene help him.

"Mr Hector, do you know what you are doing?" Earlene looked at him in disbelief, "You're playing with your life!"

Once he had gone with Bergerian, the consequences were unthinkable.

Hector ignored her words, "Mr Bergerian, let's go."

"Prince!"

"Hector!"

Ramm and Killers exclaimed at the same time.

"When you two get back, remember to give contact Thomas and ask him to send someone to protect Eloise. i'll be back safely." With that said, Hector strides towards Bergerian.

Bergerian slowly curled his mouth and looked at him with a hint of appreciation mixed in, "Mr Hector sir, a man of spirit indeed." "Hector, you ..." Earlene gave him a deadly stare, unable to believe that he would refuse his help.

"Miss Earlene, he won't go with you, and there's nothing I can do about it." Bergerian looked lovingly at Earlene.

"No, you can't go with him." Earlene reached out to pull Hector.

But Bergerian's men stopped her.

Hector glanced at her sideways and his cold words fell, "Put away those thoughts of yours, they are of no use to me."

Watching him get into Bergerian's car, Earlene yelled in exasperation, "Hector, you bastard!"

She had come to his rescue with the best of intentions, and he had made it worthless.

How ungrateful!

"Prince!" Ramm tried to go after him.

Killers hurriedly pulled him back, "You can't go, you'll get him killed if you do."

"But..." Ramm hated himself for being so useless, it was his turn to protect the prince, but now it was the prince who protected them instead.

"Don't worry, Hector must have a mind of his own. Let's go back and replace a way to save him."

After seeing Bergerian and the others off, Killers and Ramm rushed off as well, leaving them with not much time to save Hector.
