Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1088: It's too late!

Rupert rushed to the airport, found Edgar and spoke eagerly, asking, "What the hell is going on? How did my sister-in-law get taken away?"

"Don't you worry yet." Edgar calmed him down before saying, "Eloise was out with her children and friends when a foreign woman took Sweety away when they weren't looking, threatened Eloise and demanded that Eloise come with her." "A foreign woman?" Rupert furrowed his brow tightly.

Edgar nodded, "Well, I've asked my assistant to get the surveillance video from the time. If I'm right ..."

At that, his face turned grave.

"What's wrong?" Rupert asked.

"It should be someone from the Bergerian. I spoke to Hector on the phone the other day and he told me that the Bergerian side has worked out the drug and it's just a matter of verifying its effects." Hearing this, Rupert thought for a moment, "Could they be trying to do live experiments?"

"That's what Hector told me. He explained that I should let Eloise out as little as possible, but ... I'm sorry, it was an oversight on my part."

Edgar was sorry.

Regret that he had been negligent enough to let Eloise be taken.

Rupert sighed, "No need to apologize, it's not your fault. Even if Eloise had gone out less, they would have found a way to get someone. The most important thing now is how to get the person out." Edgar nodded, "By the way, Hector's phone is not working, do you have a way to contact him?"

"Actually..." Rupert hesitated, "My brother is also under control and we can't reach him for now."

"What do you mean? " Edgar was shocked to hear this news.

Rupert smiled bitterly, "Now we have to replace a way to save not only my sister-in-law, but also my brother."

Edgar pondered for a moment and said, "No matter what method we use, I will get the person back."

"Hard work." Rupert sighed again, "I don't have the means to go to Italy, but I'll send someone with you, and you can contact me anytime if anything happens." "Good." Edgar nodded.

...

The plane landed at the airport in Sicily.

Katerina led Eloise out of the airport and into the black car that was already waiting at the exit.

"Where are you taking me?" Eloise looked out of the car and turned her head to look at Katerina.

Katerina smiled slightly, "You'll know when you get there."

Eloise bit her lower lip and clenched her hands slowly, she couldn't just wait for help, she had to replace a way to save herself first.

She wondered if Hector already knew about her capture.

"Eloise, don't think Hector will come to your rescue, he's on his own right now."

Katerina's words came as a bolt from the blue and Eloise was confused, "What do you mean by that?"

Something is wrong with Hector, isn't it?

"Hector is a guest at Mr Bergerian's house."

Eloise's eyes widened abruptly, "It's enough that you've got me, why even him ..."

She couldn't accept that.

Nor would she allow Hector to be harmed in the slightest because of her.

"There is no reason." Katerina stared at her coldly, "Mr Bergerian never needs any reason to do anything."

"Now that you've got me here, let him go!"

Seeing that Eloise was getting emotional, Katerina snapped, "You'd better calm down or I'll be rude!"

Eloise gritted her teeth and stared at her with a deadly stare, her clenched hands, her nails sinking deep into her palms.

"Eloise, this time, don't expect anyone to save you." Katerina reached up and caressed her cheek, a hint of amusement curling the corners of her mouth.

Hector.

Eloise called the name silently in her mind, thinking of his safety, and tears bursting from her eyes.

Katerina's fingertips touched the warm tears and a fierce look flashed in her eyes as she snapped her neck and leaned in close to her, spitting out word after word through clenched teeth, "I hate it when women cry, put your tears away, you hear me?"

"Heh." Eloise suddenly laughed, looking at her with a sarcastic gaze, "Aren't you a woman yourself? Why is there so much malice towards women?"

"No, I just hate seeing you cry. Don't think I'll go soft by pretending to be soft, it's not possible."

Katerina let go of her hand and sneered, "I really don't understand why men like women like you? What's so good about a woman who is useless at all?"

Eloise rubbed her sore neck and didn't say anything.

Katerina gave her a sidelong glance, a glint in her eye, and then took out her phone and snapped a picture of her.

"I think there's someone who would love to meet you." Katerina said as she sent the picture.

Soon the phone rings loudly.

She picked it up and put it on speaker, "Katerina, if you hurt her, I will never let you go."

Rowson's low voice came out of the receiver.

Eloise was shocked and subconsciously shouted, "Brother Fu..."

Before the words could come out, Katerina reached out and covered her mouth.

"Eloise, Eloise!" shouted Rowson on the other side of the phone hurriedly, but there was no response.

He was furious, "Katerina, what have you done to Eloise?"

Katerina looked at the teary-eyed Eloise, the cynicism in her heart growing stronger, she took a deep breath before speaking slowly, "Rowson, are you anxious and distressed?" "Katerina!" cried Rowson through gritted teeth.

"Rowson, do you know why I took it upon myself to ask the Bergerian to let me go and bring Eloise in myself?"

Silence fell on the other side of the phone.

Katerina continued, "It was because of you. If you had promised me that you wouldn't do anything against the Institute, I wouldn't have gone to Bergerian and Eloise wouldn't be here. So it's all your fault." Eloise shook her head hard, she wanted to tell Rowson it wasn't his fault, but her mouth was covered and she couldn't make a sound.

"What do you want me to do to let Eloise go?" asked Rowson.

"Haha..." Katerina burst out laughing.

Was she out of her mind?

Eloise stared wide-eyed at her who was laughing out loud.

I don't know if it was just her own fault, but her smile seemed a little sad.

"It's too late, it's already too late." Katerina whispered after she finished laughing.

If he had said yes to her sooner, she wouldn't have gone against him, and then their relationship could have been the same as it was before. But now, it was too late.

He must hate her to death.

"Katerina, listen to me, it's not too late, you let Eloise go and I won't do anything against the Institute."

"Rowson, I said it's too late!"

With that, Katerina hung up the phone straight away.

She withdrew the hand covering Eloise's mouth and leaned her entire body back against the back of the chair, her hand raised to rest over her eyes. A faint wave of sadness enveloped her.

Eloise moved her mouth to say something, but didn't. She turned her head to look out of the car.

Inside the car, a dead silence fell.
