Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1089: This man, only her now
Hector was locked up.
However, Bergerian did not make things difficult for him.
He was not worried about his situation, only about Eloise and the fact that she too had been captured by Bergerian.
Bergerian pushed open the door and caught a glimpse of the tall figure standing in front of the window, and he curled his mouth in triumph. What a formidable opponent he had thought he was, but now he was still a prisoner of his.
"Come in." Bergerian tilted his head slightly to the side and out of the corner of his eye he swept over the woman standing behind him. It was none other than Earlene.
She hurried into the room after Bergerian, her infatuated gaze locked on the figure at the window.
"Mr Hector, you have a visitor."
At the sound of his voice, Hector turned slowly, his indifferent expression not rising for a moment at the sight of Earlene.
"Hector," Earlene called cautiously.
Hearing her call her name, Hector's brow furrowed slightly.
Bergerian looked at Hector with an amused expression, "Mr Hector, Miss Earlene has come to see you, why don't you say something to her?" Hector was unmoved.
A look of loss crossed Earlene's eyes and she turned to Bergerian, "Mr Bergerian, I came here today to see him, but I also want to take him away." Bergerian laughed as if he had heard a big joke, "Miss Earlene, Mr Hector is my guest, how can you take him away?"
"The Bartram family can provide you with any herbs without any conditions." Earlene said.
Bergerian nodded, "This is quite tempting."
Earlene's heart fluttered with joy, "Mr Bergerian, as soon as you say yes, I will contact my brother immediately." Bergerian laughed, "I'm afraid I don't need to."
"Mr Bergerian..."
Earlene tried to convince him, only to see him raise his hand to stop her, "Don't say that. Even if I said yes, Mr Hector wouldn't go with you." "Is it true what Bergerian said?" Earlene looked at Hector.
Hector lifted his eyes gently, his warm gaze falling on her face, his thin lips parting, "Thank you Miss Earlene for your kindness." "You!"
A wave of irritation washed over her and Earlene took a deep breath, "Don't you ever want to see Eloise again?"
Bergerian was a man of unstable temperament and who knew if he would be polite to Hector now and then turn on him later. She had to take him away!
At the mention of Eloise, Hector's taut features finally loosened for a moment.
Earlene glanced at Bergerian, then piled on a smile and said, "Mr Bergerian, may I have a word with Mr Hector alone?"
"Of course."
It was in his house anyway, he was afraid they would fly away.
After Bergerian had gone out, Earlene walked over and put her ear to the door to make sure there was no movement outside before walking up to Hector, "Eloise has been taken to Italy by Bergerian's men ..." "What do you mean?" Hector grabbed her hand fiercely, his sharp gaze locked on her, "Say that again."
Even though her hand hurt from his grip, Earlene endured it, she barely pulled her lips together, "Believe it or not, Eloise is in Italy. No one can save her if you continue to stay here."
Hector stared at her deadpan, trying to see in her face that she was lying to him.
But she was frank, not like she was lying.
He let go, "Are you sure you can get me out of here?"
He finally did let go.
Though it was for Eloise.
Earlene curled her red lips, "If you'll come with me, I'll replace a way."
Hector turned away, his eyes looking out the window.
Earlene knew he was considering it, so she added, "You should know what the Bergerian turned Eloise for, so you'd better think it through."
After a long time, Hector's low voice rang out in the quiet room, "Fine, I'll go."
The corners of Earlene's mouth lifted slowly, and there was a look of triumph in his eyes.
For Eloise's sake, he had compromised after all.
"Wait for me, then."
Earlene exited the room and Bergerian was outside.
"Mr Bergerian, he has agreed to come with me."
Bergerian was slightly surprised, "He agreed?"
"Yes." Earlene nodded, "So am I allowed to take him?"
Bergerian frowned and shook his head, "No."
Earlene became anxious at that, "Mr Bergerian, I know you must need a lot of herbs for your current research, the Khan family cannot supply you with herbs, so there is no one else who can help you but the Bartram family." Bergerian narrowed his eyes and stared at her, "Are you threatening me?"
"No, I'm asking for a chance to work together for a win-win situation."
"Oh?" Bergerian raised an eyebrow, "A win-win situation?"
"Yes. I'll take Hector with me and he will in no way interfere with Professor Curry's next experiments."
The implication was that it didn't matter what he wanted to do with Eloise.
Bergerian thought for a moment and suddenly smiled, "Miss Earlene, is this your plan to hide him?"
Earlene returned a smile, "I like him, he can only be mine."
Bergerian looked at her and was silent for a few seconds before smiling, "Good, I like a woman as direct as you. Good cooperation."
He held out his hand.
Earlene took it and smiled smugly, "Pleasure working together."
...
Once Hector was in the car, he said, "Take me back to the hotel."
Earlene's eyes flickered and her red lips curled up, "Okay."
Hector closed his eyes and pondered how to save Eloise.
He didn't notice that Earlene had taken out a syringe.
Earlene looked at him, looking a little hesitant as she squeezed the syringe in her hand.
But as soon as she thought of Eloise, her expression immediately became firm.
I'm sorry.
With a silent voice in her mind, the needle was inserted into his arm with quick precision.
Feeling the pain, Hector's eyes opened abruptly and he put the needle in, saying angrily, "What are you doing?"
Earlene looked at him with a smile Brimlad, "Hector, you can only belong to me. Forget about Eloise."
"You!" Hector was about to say something else when a sudden wave of dizziness hit him and he frowned hard, his hands clenching into fists.
"What the hell did you inject me with?" He turned his head to glare at Earlene.
The smile on Hector's face grew, "A drug to forget the pain, and when you wake up, you'll forget all the pain and there will be nothing but pleasure from now on." She was getting blurred.
The last of Hector's strength faded and his clenched hands slowly loosened into darkness.
He collapsed into Earlene's arms.
"Hector, from now on, your heart is only for me and I am only for you." Earlene looked down, her slender fingers trailing slowly down his brow.
This man, from now on, would only be hers.
Earlene tightened her grip and hugged him tightly, a smug smile always on the corner of her mouth.
