Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1090: It's you!
Bergerian was very shocked the moment he saw Eloise.
"It's you!"
Eloise looked at him, a sneer tugging at the corner of her mouth, "So you're Mr Bergerian."
Remembering the man who had helped herself that night, whose name was also Bergerian, she hadn't thought of the two of them together, but hadn't realised they were the same person. "Sofía," Bergerian laughed softly, "So you are Eloise, it's a small world indeed."
So they had known each other for a long time.
Katerina frowned, "Mr Bergerian, you know her?"
Bergerian gave her a sideways glance and said lightly, "I met her once."
After that encounter, he often thought of her, of her delicate Nordic face.
Katerina was acutely aware of Bergerian's interest in Eloise.
Lest he let Eloise go on a whim, she hastened to say, "Mr Bergerian, Professor Curry is still waiting for the experiment."
"There's no rush." Bergerian kept a close eye on Eloise.
She looked exceptionally calm, not at all flustered or frightened,.
He couldn't help but be a little curious, "Aren't you afraid?"
"Afraid." Eloise answered honestly.
"Are you?" Bergerian looked her up and down, "Then how come you can't tell?"
"Will you let me go if I show it?"
"No."
"Then why should I waste my energy?" Eloise asked him in return.
Bergerian looked straight into her clean, clear eyes and a strange feeling crossed his heart, he hastily averted his eyes and gave the order, "Take the man to the first floor room and lock him up." "Yes."
Eloise was escorted upstairs.
"Mr Bergerian, are you not in a hurry?" Katerina asked.
"Anxious about what?" Bergerian asked instead of answering.
"The experiment... Professor Curry has developed the drug and is waiting to test its effects."
Bergerian frowned, "Katerina, why do you seem more anxious than me?"
Katerina's eyes fluttered, "I'm just worried for you. We've been working on this research for a long time and we're about to succeed, so of course I'm anxious."
"It's not your place to tell me what to do." Bergerian shot her a warning look.
Katerina looked down in panic, "I'm sorry, I overstepped."
"Katerina, you must remember that I have my own rhythm in doing things, you just have to wait for my arrangements."
"Yes." Katerina responded respectfully.
Bergerian looked down at his wristwatch and said in a quiet voice, "It's all right, you go back."
"Good."
Before she left, Katerina looked up at the first floor; as long as Eloise stayed here, she would not be comfortable.
But Bergerian had made it so clear that she could only wait.
...
When Lisa found out that Bergerian had taken a woman and kept her in his villa, she immediately brought someone to her door to ask for help. "Bergerian, come out here."
Lisa pushed past the housekeeper who was stopping her and stormed straight into the house.
She saw Bergerian sitting in the living room and rushed up to him, questioning him loudly, "Where is that woman?"
Bergerian gently shook the glass in his hand, looking down at the liquid in it, the corners of his mouth curling up in a faint smile, "What woman?"
Lisa had prepared a bunch of questions to ask him, but now she was choked by his faint rhetorical question.
But she quickly recovered, "The woman you had captured, where is she?"
"You want to see her?" Bergerian's eyelids lifted lightly and his gaze faded to look at her.
"Right." Lisa raised her chin arrogantly, "I want to see what kind of vixen is worth having you bring back and lock up."
A quick glint of disgust crossed Bergerian's eyes as he took a light sip of his wine, his tone without a hint of warmth, "She's Professor Curry's experiment, not mine." Lisa felt wrong at that, "What do you mean by that?"
"It means simply that the woman is just an experiment, you don't have to worry about her having anything to do with me."
Bergerian, in a rare moment of patience, explained that he actually didn't want her to make a fuss here.
He was annoyed.
Lisa still wasn't convinced, "You're telling me the truth? Not lying to me?"
"Heh." Bergerian snorted, a sneer in his eyes, "Lisa, I'm your husband, don't you believe me? Or is there not even the most basic trust between us as husband and wife?" Seeing that he was getting a little impatient, Lisa didn't want to upset him, or she wouldn't see him again for days.
"Bergerian," Lisa pouted as she sat down next to him and wrapped her arms around him, "did I upset you again?"
"You think so?" Bergerian turned his head and looked at her expressionlessly.
Lisa immediately deflated and spoke in a resigned voice, "I'm afraid you have another woman, you're my husband and I want you to have only me in your heart." Bergerian looked at her for a moment, then put the glass down on the table and took her into his arms.
"Lisa, remember, you are the only one in my heart."
Bergerian's face was expressionless, even his voice without a trace of emotion.
But Lisa in his arms could not see it and thought he was confessing his love for her, so she buried her face in his arms in shame, "I believe you." "Good girl."
The corners of Bergerian's mouth curled up in a few sneers, I had to say Lisa was really good at coaxing.
"Then you go home, I'll be back tonight." Bergerian let go of her and looked down at her tenderly.
It was rare for him to be so gentle and Lisa was about to indulge in his tender gaze, "Okay, I'll be home now."
"My Lisa is such a good girl." Bergerian planted a soft kiss on her forehead, stroked her cheek and whispered, "Go home."
"Good."
Lisa stood up dizzily, her whole body feeling lighter now.
She couldn't remember a time when he hadn't been this gentle with himself.
Today, she really had come to the right place.
"Bergerian, I'll wait for you." She looked at Bergerian with deep affection.
Bergerian smiled and nodded, "Good."
"I'll go then."
After Lisa left, Bergerian's face immediately clouded over and he looked at the butler, "If she comes again, don't let her in the villa." The butler nodded respectfully, "Yes."
Bergerian lifted his glass and drained it in one go, his eyes dark with gloom.
Soon, he would be able to kick Lisa out.
"Sir, what about the young lady upstairs?" The butler asked stiffly.
Eloise's delicate face came to Bergerian's mind and the corners of his mouth curled slightly, "Treat her as an honoured guest." The butler was a little surprised, but nodded, "Good."
Bergerian narrowed his eyes, "Right, have someone go and buy some clothes for her to wear."
"Yes."
Bergerian got up and turned his head to look upstairs, now that he had the person, he had plenty of time to play with her.
