Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1091: I'll wait for you to come back
When Edgar arrived in Italy and saw Ramm, he opened the door and asked, "Any news of your prince?"
"Not yet." Ramm shook his head with a stony face.
Edgar tightened his brow, "Eloise has been taken to Italy too, I wonder where she will be taken?"
"I sent someone to the airport after I got the call from Mr Rupert, but there was no sign of Katerina and the others."
Ramm mused for a moment, "Maybe we're just another step too late."
"Where do you think they're taking people?" Edgar asked.
"The Bergerian's most important institute was destroyed, and the others haven't seen Professor Curry, so I'm guessing Miss Eloise should be safe for now." All of the Bergerian institutes, which he had people watching, had no sign of Professor Curry.
And it would take some time to try to form another institute on the fly, and until then the experiments couldn't be done for a while.
Edgar listened to his analysis and nodded, "Then we have to get the people out before they start their experiments."
Speaking of which, Edgar looked around and asked, "Where's Thomas?"
"He's gone to replace out where the prince went."
"What can I do to help?" Edgar asked again.
Ramm smiled helplessly, "At the moment we don't even know where the prince and Miss Eloise are, we'll act when we replace them." Edgar nodded, "Good."
...
Ivor went back to the office after Edgar's flight had taken off.
Upon entering the office, he saw Edwina sitting asleep on the couch with Sweety in her arms, while the other two boys sat next to him dutifully reading books. "Uncle Ivor."
Seeing him, Solomon stood up.
Ivor, Edwina smiled and then waved at him, "Solomon, come here."
Solomon dutifully ran up to him.
Ivor half-crouched down to level with him and said softly, "You wake up your aunt and I'll take you home."
"Where's my brother-in-law?" Solomon asked.
Ivor stroked his head, "Mr Edgar has gone to Italy with your mummy and won't be back for a few days."
Solomon said, "Oh," and turned to call Edwina.
"Aunt Edwina, Aunt Edwina ..."
In a daze, I thought I heard my name.
Edwina slowly opened her eyes and Solomon's baby face fell into her eyes, she raised her lips and smiled, "What's up Solomon."
"Uncle Ivor is back and wants to take us home."
Edwina turned her head at the sound of it and hurried to her feet when she saw Ivor.
She had forgotten that she was still holding Sweety, and almost dropped Sweety when she suddenly stood up like that.
"Look out!" Ivor rushed up and caught Sweety just in time.
Edwina's face went white with fear, "Yes... sorry, I..."
"Well ..."
Sweety rubbed her sleepy eyes.
Ivor picked her up, "We're going to be going home Sweety."
"Where's Mummy?" Sweety asked, looking at him.
"Mummy's gone to Italy with your brother-in-law and won't be back for a few days."
Sweety beamed in displeasure when she heard that, "Why didn't they take me with them when they went out to play?"
Ivor laughed, "They're going to work, not play."
"Oh." Sweety beamed, a little resentment still on her baby face.
Edwina, on the other hand, was shocked to hear that Edgar had also gone to Italy, and she realised that things might be a bit serious.
But she couldn't ask too many questions with the children around.
She could only ask Ivor in a whisper while the children were in the car, "Is Miss. Eloise going to be all right?"
Ivor gave her a reassuring smile, "Don't worry, it's going to be fine. Get in the car."
Despite what he said, Edwina was still uneasy inside.
She couldn't do anything about it, so she swallowed her worries and opened the door to the car.
Ivor drove Edwina home before taking Solomon and Sweety back to the Khan family home.
Brimlad was puzzled to see that only the two little ones had returned, "Where's your mummy?" "Miss. Eloise has gone to Italy with Mr Edgar."
"To Italy?" Brimlad frowned, "Why didn't you tell me? And ..."
She looked at Solomon and Sweety, "And left the two kids behind, what are they doing?"
Brimlad was getting a little angry, thinking that Eloise and Edgar had been so confused about what they were doing, leaving the kids behind while the adults went abroad on their own.
If Ivor hadn't been there, who would have watched the two children?
"Madam, don't be angry, they went on a short notice too, they didn't have time to tell you." Ivor didn't dare to tell her the truth for fear she would worry.
"On short notice?" Brimlad suddenly thought of something, "By the way, have you seen Rupert?"
Ivor nodded, "Yes, I have."
"I see he's in a hurry to get to Eloise, is something wrong?" Brimlad always felt something was wrong.
"Nothing of the sort, you mustn't think too much of it."
Ivor was afraid that if she asked him any more questions, he would not be able to keep himself from telling the truth, so he hurriedly said, "Madam, there is something else going on at the office, so I will leave now." With that, and without waiting for Brimlad's reaction, he hurried away as if some flood of beasts were chasing after him.
"What's the boy's hurry?" Brimlad laughed and shook his head, then picked up Solomon and Sweety, "Let's go inside, my aunt and grandmother have baked some delicious biscuits today."
When she heard there were biscuits, Sweety immediately pulled her inside, "Come on, Grandma, I want to eat biscuits."
"Okay, let's go and eat the biscuits."
She led the two children towards the dining room.
...
Edwina was preoccupied with Eloise and was upset.
She took out her mobile phone, found Edgar's number and was about to dial it, but hesitated when her finger was about to touch the screen.
Would it disturb him if she called him at this time?
She bit her lip and hesitated for a while before she took a deep breath and dialed.
"Beep beep..."
One sound was like a knock on her heart, and her heart was beating fast.
Unconsciously, her hands gripped the phone tightly.
"Hello, Edgar."
The moment his voice came through the receiver, her heart missed a beat.
She subconsciously held her breath, "Hi, it's Edwina."
"Oh, it's you. What's up?"
Edgar's voice was a little indifferent, and Edwina suddenly didn't know what to say.
Not hearing a voice for a long time, Edgar frowned, "Miss. Edwina, are you still there?"
Edwina looked back, "I'm here."
"What's wrong with you?"
"I ..." Edwina bit her lip, "I just wanted to ask how Miss. Eloise is doing?"
"Haven't found her yet."
Heart in her throat, "Is she going to be okay then?"
Hearing the nervousness and worry in her voice, Edgar laughed softly, "Miss. Edwina, you don't have to worry, Eloise will be fine."
"Really?" Edwina asked uncertainly.
"Really. Soon we'll be back."
Relieved by his affirmative answer, Edwina said softly, "I'll wait for you guys to come back."
I'll be waiting for you.
Hearing those words, Edgar's heart Edwina twitched, and he had to say that it felt quite good to have someone say they would wait for him. "Hmm."
Edwina didn't dare to disturb him again, "That's it then, bye."
After hanging up the phone, Edwina sat on the sofa for a long time.
