Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1092: Promise me you'll forget about Eloise
Rowson wanted to go to Katerina, but since the last time the Bergerian had sent a few extra men to watch him, he was now barely an inch away.
He took the opportunity to drink his water as his eyes swept over the two tall foreign men standing in the room.
He couldn't wait any longer or Eloise would be in danger.
A sharp light flashed under his eyes and he suddenly shouted, "Ah... that hurts."
The two foreign men immediately rushed to his side as soon as they heard this. "Mr. Rowson, what's wrong with you?"
Rowson clutched his stomach and wailed out, "I ... my stomach hurts so much."
The two foreign men looked at each other, "Let's take you to the hospital."
"No need." Rowson shook his head, "Just get me the medical kit from my room."
One of them helped Rowson to sit on the sofa while the other went to the room to get the medical kit.
"And get me a glass of water." Rowson said, looking at the man holding him.
The man turned to pour the water without question, when a look of hostility flashed across Rowson's face and he quickly pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket, rushed up and covered the man's mouth and nose from behind. Before he could struggle, the man collapsed.
Rowson kicked, the corners of his mouth curled up in a sneer, he had deliberately drugged it several times over, the man would immediately pass out at the first sniff.
"Mr. Rowson, where is the medicine chest?"
The voice of another man came from the room.
Rowson sulked, walked over and ducked next to the door of the room.
Getting no response, the man stepped out.
As he had earlier, Rowson took advantage of him and covered his mouth and nose.
Watching the man fall, Rowson breathed a long sigh of relief and turned his head to look at the foyer.
There were only the two outside now.
He dragged the two fallen men into the room first, closed the door behind him as if nothing had happened, and headed for the foyer.
Suddenly, the door opened from outside.
It was Katerina.
Both froze at the sight of the other.
Rowson reacted quickly and asked in a deep voice, "What are you doing here?"
Katerina pulled back at the sound of his voice and her red lips curled, "I came to tell you the 'good news'."
Then she frowned and sniffed, "Why does your house smell like ether?"
Rowson didn't answer, but stared at her steadily, the corners of his mouth curving up in a shallow curve.
A bad feeling came over her and Katerina subconsciously turned to run.
But Rowson moved faster than she did, rushing up and grabbing her wrist, pulling her inside.
"Rowson, have you gone mad?" Katerina yelled, trying to get the attention of the people outside with her voice. Rowson pulled her into the living room and gave her a hard push.
She stumbled on her feet and fell onto the sofa.
"Rowson, what do you want?" She looked up and glared angrily at Rowson.
"Where's Eloise?" Rowson questioned sternly.
Katerina snorted, "Rowson, you open your mouth and it's Eloise, how important is she to you?"
"Where is she?" Rowson pressed closer to her, his voice rising a few notches, "I'm asking you, where is she?"
His face was as dark as ink and his gaze shot straight at her like an ice blade.
Katerina subconsciously gulped, "I, I gave her to Mr Bergerian."
At those words, Rowson's eyes flashed with a fierce intensity as he grabbed her by the neck and lifted her up, gritting his teeth as he spoke, "I warned you, if Eloise is harmed in the slightest, I'll kill you!" "Go ahead and kill!" Katerina roared, she laughed, her smile full of sarcasm, "Rowson, even if you kill me, you won't be able to save Eloise, you'll just have to watch her die."
"Katerina!" Rowson stared at her with red eyes, his grip on her tightening fiercely.
Katerina gave up her resistance, her mouth curling in a sneer as she slowly closed her eyes.
It would be nice to die by his hand.
Just when she thought she was going to die, Rowson let go.
She fell heavily to the ground.
"Ahem!"
Katerina coughed violently, covering her choked neck.
"I always thought we'd make good partners."
Rowson's voice rang out overhead without a trace of emotion, and Katerina narrowed her eyes, a sneer in her brow.
A good partner?
She didn't think that was what he was thinking, he was only interested in using himself to save Eloise.
Rowson crouched down, reached out and cupped her chin hard, lifting her face.
Eyes meet.
Katerina smiled coldly, "Rowson, you'll learn one day that Eloise isn't worth all the work you've done for her."
Rowson narrowed his eyes, "I know in my own mind if it's worth it. All you have to do is tell her where she is?"
"I already told you, she's at Mr Bergerian's. If you want to save her, go to Mr Bergerian."
Rowson let go and got up, "Where is Mr Bergerian?"
"I don't know."
"Katerina, you better be honest or..."
Before he could finish his sentence, Katerina interrupted coldly, "Or what? Kill me? I told you, you can kill me, you can't save Eloise anyway."
"Don't you dare think I won't kill you!" Rowson looked at her with a condescending stare.
Katerina raised her chin undaunted, "Then do it."
The two men confronted each other for a long time before Rowson turned to his side, "Catherine, what exactly do I have to do before you tell me where she is?"
Katerina stood up slowly, smoothing out the folds of her dress as she said carelessly, "It's too late. If you had promised me before, Eloise would not have been taken to Italy." At that, Rowson turned his head, his harsh gaze shooting at her.
"Rowson, it's your fault that Eloise is where she is today." Katerina spoke slowly as if she was deliberately trying to provoke him, biting out each word with exceptional clarity. Rowson clenched his fists, a handsome face tightening.
She was actually right, it was his fault; if it hadn't been for him in the first place, Eloise wouldn't have contracted the virus and wouldn't have been targeted by Bergerian and the others. Katerina could not help but feel a little sarcastic at the remorse that came out of him without a second thought.
She was jealous of how important Eloise was to Rowson, so she wanted to destroy her.
But now, when she saw Rowson's remorse, she couldn't help but feel a little uncomfortable. She lowered her head and smiled to herself, she really was useless.
"Rowson."
At the sound of her voice, Rowson hurriedly collected all his thoughts and looked at her coldly.
She raised her head and looked straight into his eyes, "I'll tell you where Eloise is if you promise to forget about her."
As soon as Rowson heard that, he agreed without thinking, "Okay."
When she saw how quickly he agreed, Katerina laughed, her smile full of sarcasm, "Rowson, you're not going to lie to me, are you?"
"No, since I promised you, I will naturally do it."
As long as he could save Eloise, he would agree to whatever the terms were.
"Okay then, I'll tell you where Eloise is."
Katerina chose to believe him.
