Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1106: Don't see her again

Rowson hadn't told Eloise that he'd been kicked off the Bergerian's research team.

He had flipped with Bergerian since the moment he had knocked out the man who had been spying on him.

So it would be very difficult for him to see Bergerian again, let alone ask Bergerian about Hector's whereabouts.

But there was one person who could.

"What are you doing calling me out so late?" Katerina sat down across from Rowson and glared at him with a disgruntled look on her face. "Catching up." Rowson poured her a glass of wine.

Katerina couldn't help but snort out a laugh, "Catch up?" Katerina couldn't help but snort out a laugh.

This was a joke, they weren't close friends and hadn't known each other long enough to catch up.

"Did Bergerian give you a hard time?" Rowson asked, looking at her.

Katerina frowned, "Is that your concern?"

Rowson raised an eyebrow noncommittally.

Katerina laughed out loud, a sarcastic smile, "Rowson, don't give me that, don't I know you? You must have asked me for something."

Now that she'd made it clear, Rowson didn't beat around the bush and made his intentions clear: "I want you to help me replace out from Bergerian where Hector is." "What?" Katerina thought she had misheard, "You want to know the whereabouts of Hector?"

"Right."

Katerina raised an eyebrow, "That's your rival in love, what do you want with him? Is it about that woman again?"

It was obvious without asking that he wouldn't come begging for anyone else but that woman.

Rowson was silent.

"Rowson, what the hell do you take me for?" Katerina asked.

This was not sure how many times she had asked him this question and she was not sure what answer she was really expecting.

Silence slowly spread between the two of them, a pin drop.

After a long moment, the corners of Katerina's mouth curled into a few sneers, "Forget it, pretend I didn't ask."

"Friends." Rowson suddenly opened his mouth.

Katerina laughed, a mockery in her smile, "Friends? I guess I'm defined by your needs, you only consider me a friend when you need my help." "Katerina, I need your help." Rowson stared deeply at her.

Katerina tried to refuse him, but as soon as she spoke it was, "I can help you, but you have to promise me one condition."

"You say."

"Promise me you won't see Eloise again from now on."

Last time, she had told him to forget about Eloise.

He'd agreed to that painfully, but what? Now he was begging himself for that woman, and in that case, it was best not to even see her again. Rowson frowned at her words.

Seeing his face in difficulty, Catherine Thur snorted, "I don't think you'll agree to such a condition, so I won't help you either."

With that, she got up and made a move to leave.

"Wait." Rowson grabbed her hand.

She turned back.

He looked up.

Four eyes meet.

"If I say yes, will you really help me?"

Rowson is worried she'll go back on her word.

Katerina smiled, "If you don't trust me, then there's no need to come to me."

Rowson narrowed his eyes, "Fine, I'll agree to your terms."

"Are you sure?" Katerina didn't expect him to say yes.

"Sure. But I want to know Hector's whereabouts tomorrow." That was Rowson's condition.

Katerina nodded, "Good. Then we have a deal."

"Hmm."

"Is there anything else?" Katerina asked.

Rowson shook his head.

Although she had known that would be the answer, Katerina couldn't help but be disappointed.

"I'll be going then."

After Katerina left, Rowson sat for a long time longer before getting up to leave.

--

The research team was reorganising in the last few days, and Katerina came to the Institute and, seeing Professor Curry, asked, as if casually, "Professor, is Mr Bergerian coming in the next couple of days?" Professor Curry was busy and he glanced up at her, nonchalantly, "I'm not his assistant, so how would I know his schedule?"

Katerina choked and tugged awkwardly at the corner of her mouth, "Professor, when is Mr Bergerian going to bring that woman in then?"

This was the thing that concerned Professor Curry the most.

As soon as she asked, Professor Curry immediately dropped what he was doing, his eyes narrowed and his expression was somewhat serious, "I have to ask Bergerian to bring her here as soon as possible, our research must be carried out as soon as possible."

At this, Katerina's face lit up with joy and she quickly agreed, "You are right, the research does need to be done as soon as possible."

Professor Curry gave her a look and stepped aside to take out his mobile phone and call Bergerian.

Just then, Bergerian walked in.

"Curry."

Professor Curry turned around, saw him and hastily hung up the phone and walked quickly up to him, "Did you bring the man?" Bergerian's face was hard as he shook his head, "The man ran away."

"Ran away?!" Professor Curry's voice instantly rose an octave, "How could he have run away?"

Bergerian didn't explain, but said, "I've already had someone check on her whereabouts and will recapture her soon." Katerina, who was on the sidelines, was also shocked; she had not expected Eloise to run away from Bergerian's sight. Had she underestimated Eloise?

"Bergerian, I can't wait any longer, I have to start my research as soon as possible." Professor Curry said.

A flicker of impatience crossed Bergerian's face, "I know, haven't I already had someone look into it?"

Professor Curry stared at him for a long moment before speaking again, "Fine, I'll wait a few more days, but this time you must bring someone to the Institute as soon as you catch them." Bergerian frowned, some displeasure evident on his face, "Curry, are you ordering me around?"

"No, I'm looking out for the greater good." Professor Curry met his gaze undaunted.

"Mr Bergerian."

Katerina, who had been silent, spoke up, "Don't you have Hector? You could use him to force Eloise to show herself."

At the mention of Hector, Bergerian's face hardened, "He is no longer with me."

Katerina was taken aback, "How could that be?"

"I agreed to Earlene's terms and the man was taken by her."

Bergerian regretted it, it was true that if Hector was still in his possession, he could still threaten Eloise.

But now it was too late to say anything.

"Earlene?" said Katerina, thinking the name sounded familiar.

"An insignificant person."

Katerina didn't dare ask more than a nod, "Okay, I get it."

"Bergerian, I don't care what you do, you must get the person or there is no way for our research to proceed." Professor Curry reiterated the importance of the matter once more.

"I know, I'm more anxious than you are." Bergerian took a deep breath and pushed down his frustration, "You can carry on with the rest of your research first, I will get the man for you soon." With those words, he left.

Having gotten the news she wanted, Katerina also left quickly.

She was a little excited.

As soon as she told Rowson the news, then from now on, he wouldn't be able to see Eloise again.

Just thinking about it made her so excited that she couldn't even help but quicken her pace.
