Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1130: Not without caution

That morning, Eloise was still upstairs changing Sweety's clothes when the butler popped in to say she had a guest for her. "A guest?"

Eloise frowned in wonder, who could be looking for her so early in the morning?

"Sweety, you get yourself changed and then go downstairs with your brother for breakfast, okay?"

"Okay."

"That's a good boy."

Eloise smiled and stroked Sweety's little head as she got up and walked out of the room.

Walking to the ground floor, she caught a glimpse of Thomas standing in the living room. "Thomas!"

She ran over to him in surprise and looked around to replace only Thomas, not the man she had been missing.

A huge wave of despair hit her hard against the surprise that had just come to her, making her chest sore and swollen.

"Miss Eloise," Thomas said, bowing his head respectfully.

"Just arrived?" Eloise struggled to hold down all her emotions.

"Well, just arrived."

"Haven't eaten breakfast yet, have you?"

"No."

Eloise nodded, "Then come over for breakfast first, and we'll talk about what's going on afterwards."

With that, she turned around, to lead him to the dining room.

But Thomas didn't move, instead saying, "I'm sorry Miss Eloise, it's useless that we haven't found the prince by now."

His voice was full of guilt and self-recrimination.

Eloise shook her head gently, "Thomas, you don't have to apologise, I know you're all doing your best to replace Hector and I'm sure you'll replace him." "Miss Eloise."

Thomas felt even more guilty when she said that.

Eloise raised an eyebrow, "Don't you have any faith that you'll get the man back?"

"Yes, of course I do!" Thomas replied without a second thought, "We will get the prince back."

Eloise laughed, "That's not true."

Thomas smiled back.

"Come on, let's get breakfast first, then we'll take our time."

Thomas nodded, "Good."

...

Edgar didn't go to the office in the morning because of Thomas' arrival.

"Have a cup of coffee."

Edgar handed the cup to Thomas.

Thomas took it in a hurry, "Thanks."

"How are things now?" Edgar asked as he sat down.

Thomas took a sip of his coffee before replying, "Still no progress."

"Still no luck with Earlene's flight information?" Edgar asked again.

Thomas smiled bitterly, "Both Ramm and Killers were trying to figure out something for this, but neither of them had gotten to it yet before I got back." Edgar put his glass down on the table, pondered for a moment and asked, "Have you guys thought that maybe she was on a private jet?"

"A private plane?"

"Hmm." Edgar nodded, then analysed, "Apart from the possibility of the flight information being erased, it's actually more likely to be a private jet." Thomas thought about it and couldn't help but smile, "Why didn't we think of that?"

"Concern is confusing. In your haste to replace someone, you overlook things."

"Well, I'll contact Ramm now and ask him to check the private jet applications for the period, maybe we'll replace something."

"I think something will turn up."

Eloise settled the children before coming downstairs, and she came over just in time to see Thomas walking up to the side with his phone. She looked over at Edgar and asked suspiciously, "How did you guys talk?"

"Thomas is contacting Ramm," Edgar responded.

"Is there something new?" Eloise sat down across from him and looked at him with an expectant expression.

Edgar smiled and nodded, "Sort of. But we'll have to wait for Ramm to investigate to be sure."

"What is it?" Eloise trailed off.

"We suspect that Earlene used a private jet to leave Italy."

"A private jet?" Eloise frowned, "Can you replace out?"

"Generally yes, but don't rule out Earlene wiping out the application records."

"Is she that good at it?" Eloise sneered, "Not unless Bergerian helps her."

At the mention of Bergerian, Edgar was silent for a moment before speaking, "Bergerian should be in the country by now."

"I'll try not to go out in the meantime."

As long as she didn't go out, she didn't believe that Bergerian would still come to the house.

Edgar nodded, "Hmm. Now that Thomas is back, he'll be staying at the house straight away to protect you during this time."

"I'm sorry for the trouble, cousin." Eloise looked at him with an apologetic face.

"I told you, families don't say such insulting things." Edgar deliberately scowled and pretended to be unhappy.

Eloise gave a helpless smile, "I know, but I can't live without saying that."

"No need to feel bad, you're my cousin and it's my duty to protect you."

Eloise was so touched in her heart that she wanted to say thank you, but held back.

Because to say something like that again would be really insulting.

I don't know if he saw what she was thinking, but Edgar smiled and teased, "What if you really feel overwhelmed, when I get married, the red packet will be bigger."

At this, Eloise couldn't help but laugh, "Didn't you just talk about family? What's with the red packets now?"

"I'm afraid you'll be upset all the time?"

Eloise laughed, "Bigger red packets are fine, but you have to have someone to marry."

As it was he didn't even have a girlfriend yet, there was no telling when this red packet would be wrapped up.

"You're so good at sticking your neck out."

Edgar covered his chest making a face of heartache, much to Eloise's amusement.

Thomas finished his phone call and came over to replace them both smiling and wondered, "Why are you both so happy?"

Expecting them to be worried about the prince's situation, they were surprised to see this.

"Nothing, just making a joke." Edgar turned the tables and asked, "Well, what did Ramm say?"

"Ramm said he's had someone look into it, and also that Bergerian has indeed arrived in the country."

As he said this, Thomas looked to Eloise, "Miss Eloise, you try to stay home for the time being."

Eloise nodded, "Cousin and I were just talking. Don't worry guys, I'll stay home."

She had already caused them a lot of trouble and would not add to it.

"But don't worry, Mr Rupert will send someone over, and with me, we'll keep you safe." Thomas assured her.

Until the prince returned, they would keep Miss Eloise safe from the slightest harm no matter what.

Eloise smiled, "I trust you."

Edgar suddenly thought of something, "By the way, if a stranger knocks on your door, you'd better not open it. Even if the person says he's a courier or asking for directions, don't open the door." Although there was someone in the house 24 hours a day, she was afraid that she would be too unsuspecting and open the door, and that would be a problem.

"Cousin, I'm not Snow White, I'm not that stupid." Eloise was a little helpless.

"Although you're not Snow White, you're just as kind as she is."

"Don't worry guys, I won't open the door to anyone."

That was all Eloise could assure them.

But Edgar was still unsure, "No, I have to account for the housekeeper's maid, and my parents besides you, what if you don't open the door and they do?" Eloise laughed helplessly, "Cousin, you really are being too cautious."

"The stakes are too high to be cautious."

Hopefully, he was so cautious that he would be able to keep her well protected.
