Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1129: Greed knows no bounds

The doctor also came over to check the old man's body, his brow furrowed one moment and then relaxed the next, watching Eloise's heart go up and down. "Doctor, how is it?"

Seeing that the doctor had finished his examination, Eloise immediately asked in a loud voice.

"All is well with the old man."

Hearing the doctor's reply, Eloise sighed with relief, "That's good."

Seeing how nervous she seemed, the doctor smiled and said, "Actually, you don't need to worry now, Master is all recovering well, he's just not awake yet." "So when will he wake up?" Eloise asked.

"As I said, talk to him more and stimulate the nerves in his brain, he should wake up soon."

Eloise nodded, "I know that, but right now my grandfather occasionally moves his fingers and sheds tears, but there's just no sign of waking up."

"There's no rush in this kind of thing, you families have to be patient."

Eloise smiled shyly, "We are a bit anxious, we want my grandfather to wake up soon."

The doctor smiled, "I understand your feelings, but please be more patient."

"Good."

After the doctor left, Eloise tucked in the corner of his bed and leaned over to whisper in his ear, "Grandpa, you have to wake up soon, Solomon and Sweety miss you so much." She looked at him for a moment before turning to go out.

As she closed the door, the old man in bed suddenly opened his eyes, but they closed again the next second, as quickly as if nothing had happened.

...

Katerina went to replace Bergerian, only to be told that the man had gone to City J.

City J?

Isn't that the city where Eloise is?

Could Mr Bergerian ...

She dared not think further and drove to Rowson.

Rowson opened the door, saw it was her and frowned, "Any news?"

"No, it's..." Katerina opened her mouth to tell him that Bergerian had probably gone to see Eloise.

But as the words came to her lips, she hesitated.

If she told him about it, he wouldn't be able to let go of Eloise, and he'd be thinking about how he could help the woman again.

No.

She couldn't let him get involved with that woman again.

"What is it?"

Rowson couldn't resist the urge to ask when the words stopped mid-sentence.

Katerina raised her eyebrows and said, "Nothing, just wanted to tell you that Mr Bergerian is away on business, out of Italy for a while." "On a business trip?" Rowson's frown tightened, "How did you happen to be away on business?"

"I'm not his secretary or assistant, I don't know anything about his schedule."

Bergerian wasn't in Italy, so what about the flight information he wanted?

He thought about it and asked, "Is there any other way to get Earlene's flight information?"

"This ..." Katerina thought hard for a long time before saying, "I'll think of something."

Rowson nodded, "OK, I'll trouble you then."

Katerina smiled gently, "I'm not bothered, I just hope you remember what you promised me."

"Don't worry, I'll remember."

With an affirmative answer, Katerina left satisfied.

Unable to get Earlene's flight information on his end for the moment, Rowson called Ramm and told him about it.

"Sorry, can't help you guys."

Hearing his apology, Ramm hurriedly said, "Mr. Rowson, you don't have to apologise. This was supposed to be us bothering you."

To be more precise, at the beginning, he did not have much hope.

So he wasn't much disappointed when he heard Rowson say that he couldn't help for the time being.

"I'll keep you posted if there's any news to follow." Rowson said.

"Okay, please."

"That's it then, bye."

Rowson was about to hang up, when Ramm's anxious voice came over the phone, "Mr. Rowson, wait."

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Did you know that Bergerian has gone to the country?"

"What?" Rowson paled for a moment, "When did he go?"

"I think it was in the last two days."

In the last two days?

Rowson thought about what Katerina had just told him about Bergerian being away on business, and then about how she had suddenly stopped talking in the middle of her sentence. His eyes widened; she was in the know.

"It's to see Eloise, isn't it?" Rowson asked.

"Well, it's to Miss Eloise. they haven't given up yet."

Rowson laughed out, a smile that did not reach his icy eyes, "How can they give up? The greed of man knows no bounds."

"Mr. Ramm, thank you for telling me about this."

At that, Ramm frowned, "You're not going back to the country too, are you?"

Rowson turned his head to the darkening sky, the corners of his mouth curling slightly, "Now that Hector is away, I think I have an obligation to protect Eloise."

He would never allow anyone to hurt Eloise.

...

Bergerian had just arrived at City J and had barely stepped out of the airport when Lisa suddenly appeared in front of him.

"Surprise, darling?" Lisa looked at him with a smile Brimlad.

Bergerian's expression sank and he questioned sternly, "What are you doing here?"

"Came with you." Lisa ignored his dark scowl and stepped forward to take his arm, "We weren't even married for our honeymoon, so I thought I'd take this opportunity to hang out here with you." "Nonsense!" Bergerian shook her hand away, "You think I'm here to have fun?"

"Or what?" Lisa looked bewildered and looked as if she really didn't know what he had come to City J for.

Bergerian felt that one day he would be angry with her alive. He took a deep breath, suppressed the anger that was churning in his heart and coaxed patiently, "You go back to Italy first, I'll be back soon." Was this an attempt to send her away so that he could be alone with that woman?

No way!

Lisa laughed in her heart but didn't show it on her face, she deflated in aggression, "I don't want to, I just want to stay with you."

"Lisa, I'm here to work, I can't work properly if you're here with me."

Lisa immediately raised her hands in a vow, "I promise I won't bother you."

Bergerian tightened his face and glared at her unhappily.

"Bergerian," Lisa said, putting her arms around him, "just let me stay with you, I really won't make any noise, okay?"

She was used to being strong, but suddenly her nature softened.

Bergerian always felt that something was wrong and his heart was troubled.

"No!" He flatly refused her, "You book me a flight back to Italy right now."

Seeing that he still wouldn't agree, Lisa became angry and she let go of his hand, "Fine, you won't let me follow you, then I'll go on my own and pretend I'm here on a trip." "Carl, let's go."

She glared indignantly at Bergerian and then walked out of the airport with Carl in the lead.

"Sir, what now?" The assistant spoke up and asked.

Bergerian stared at Lisa's back, his eyes narrowing slightly, "Since she doesn't want to go back, let her follow us."

The only way to know her every move was to follow him, lest she turn against Eloise.
