Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1136: Do you know my sister?
The moment the door crashed open, Edwina quickly grabbed the quilt aside to wrap herself up, and her whole body shrank to the corner of the bed. "Snap!"
Edwards switched on the light and the room was instantly lit up, catching a glimpse of the fat man standing there.
A curt smile piled up on the fat man's face, "Edwards, it's been a long time."
Edwards' gaze crossed to him and landed on the shivering woman on the bed, Eloise, and he couldn't help but feel anger in his heart, "Fatty, have you gone mad? How dare you do such a thing in my house!" "Edwards, don't get me wrong, I'm just a bit tipsy from the wine I've had." Fatty hastily explained, "And it was also her who seduced me."
"She seduced you?" Edwards laughed, "Just like you, someone else seduced you?"
"Yeah, she's the one who hit on me." The fat man replied with a straight face.
At that moment, a weak voice rang out in the room, "No... no, it's him, it's him ..."
Halfway through the sentence, Edwina choked up so hard she couldn't say anything else.
"Edwards, don't listen to her, she's just trying to bite me back and blackmail me."
Looking at the ingratiating greasy smile on the fat man's face, Edwards couldn't hold his anger for a moment and lifted his leg and kicked it straight over. "Ah!"
The fat man fell backwards and sat heavily on the ground, realising that Edwards was really angry and didn't believe him.
He hurriedly got down on his knees and begged for mercy, "Edwards, don't be angry, I was just drinking and really, really didn't mean to violate her."
"Fatty." Edwards walked up to him, knelt down and locked eyes with him, "Don't ever associate with Ainsley again, and you won't be welcome in our Boone Family."
A hint of resignation surfaced in the fat man's eyes as he clenched his fists and shouted as Edwards got up, "Ainsley made me do it ..."
At that, Edwards looked down at him, shocked, "What did you say?"
"I said Ainsley made me do it, she told me this woman was vain and came to her birthday party to replace a golden boy."
"You're full of shit!" Edwina yelled, "I'm obviously a waitress at the restaurant who came over to help, not at all what you said about replaceing a golden boy."
Edwards looked up at her, only to see her raise her hand and wipe her tears harshly, her hair that had been strewn in front of her was pushed to the side, revealing her face. "Constance Dredge!"
Seeing the face, Edwards exclaimed.
But it soon became apparent that he had mistaken the person.
Although the woman in front of him looked somewhat similar to the Constance he knew, on closer inspection, she was not the same person.
Edwina visibly froze when she heard the name "Constance" and then reacted, her wet eyes staring at the man in front of her as she asked cautiously, "You know my sister?" "Your sister?" Edwards was once again shocked.
When the fat man saw that they were both ignoring him, he quietly got up and tried to sneak away.
"Stop right there!"
Edwards blocked his path with a long, long leg.
He turned his head to look at Edwards, a smile piled on his face, "Edwards."
Edwards curled his mouth, "You think it's just going to go away?"
"Or what?" The fat man asked.
"If you dare to do something, you must dare to do it, right?"
The fat man nodded busily, "Edwards is right about everything."
The smile on Edwards' lips deepened a few notches, "Well then, you go and talk to the police to replace out what's going on."
The fat man panicked when he heard that the police were going to be called, "Edwards, that's not acceptable, you mustn't call the police."
Then he turned his head to beg Edwina, "Pretty girl, I'm sorry, it's all because I was confused, look at you, there's nothing wrong with you, just spare me this time." Did he say something human?
What do you mean she didn't do anything?
Edwina laughed, and then curbed her smile and said in a cold voice, "I'm calling the police."
Ainsley, who had been hiding outside and eavesdropping, rushed in when she heard that Edwina wanted to call the police, pretended to be completely unaware of the situation and asked, "What's going on?" As soon as the fat man saw her, he looked like a saviour and immediately yelled, "Ainsley, you have to help me, if I go into the police station, I am going to be killed by my father."
"What's going on?" Ainsley still looked bewildered.
Edwina looked at her coldly, with a sneer in her brow.
The fat man had just said that Ainsley had told him to do it, and now he was playing innocent.
Edwards stared hard at Ainsley, "You really don't know what's going on?"
Ainsley blinked and looked innocent, "I don't know, what's wrong?"
She looked to Edwina, "Why is she here?"
"Is it true that the fat man said that you instructed him to violate this young lady?" Edwards asked in a hushed voice.
"What?" Ainsley's eyes widened in exaggeration and she whirled around to deny it, "I didn't."
She turned her head to look at the fat man, "When did I instruct you to do that? Don't you throw mud around."
"I ..."
Fatty opened his mouth to argue, Ainsley was afraid he would tell the truth again and hurriedly interrupted him, "Fatty, I was going to help you speak up, if you slander me again, then I can't help you." Fatty heard the warning in her words and said, "Edwards, I was just rambling, this has nothing to do with Ainsley."
Edwards looked at him and then at Ainsley, knowing in his heart that this definitely had something to do with his sister.
He didn't want to cover up for anyone.
He turned his head to Edwina, "Are you sure you want to call the police?"
"Yes." Edwina said decisively.
A flicker of panic crossed Ainsley's face, she could never let the fat man be taken away by the police.
"Miss. Edwina, today is my said birthday party, can you spare Fatty this time for my sake?"
The way Ainsley lowered her voice made Edwina feel ridiculous.
She had been all high and mighty to herself before.
"If this gentleman hadn't rushed in, I would have been violated by him, and who would have spoken up for me when I was hurt like this?"
At that, Edwina couldn't help crying, she sniffled and choked out, "Do you know how helpless and desperate I am? Why should I be allowed to spare him?"
"No, Miss. Edwina, what I mean is that I can make the fat man compensate you, but you don't call the police, okay?" Ainsley pleaded again.
Edwina wiped her tears away, "I don't want compensation, I'm going to call the police."
"Brother!" Ainsley was anxious.
Edwards gave her a cold look and spoke, "Miss. Edwina, if you are willing to trust me, let me handle this matter, okay? I will give you a satisfactory result." Edwina sneered, "So you're not going to call the police, are you?"
"Fatty is a friend of Ainsley's and it happened at the Boone Family, we at the Boone Family have a lot to answer for. I'll take responsibility to the end." Edwards assured her. Edwina gave a sarcastic smile, "What do you want to be responsible for, compensation? Then I'll be a lion."
"I'll pay you whatever you ask for." Edwards said.
"Brother!" Ainsley looked at him incredulously, couldn't he see that this woman didn't want to call the police and was just trying to get some money?
Edwards ignored her displeasure, "Ainsley, go and get a suit for the young lady to change into."
Ainsley knew his personality, no one could change what he had decided, so she could only huff and puff and go get the clothes.
