Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1143: A friend's birthday

With her arm dislocated, Eloise spent the next week or so at home, not going anywhere, reading a book and getting some sun. It was a good time.

On this day, Thomas drove her to the hospital to have her cast removed and, as she passed the florist, she asked him to stop. "I'll go down and buy a bunch of flowers."

"Okay."

When she parked, Thomas quickly got out and opened the door for her and followed her into the flower shop.

"Miss Eloise, what made you suddenly think of buying flowers?" Thomas asked curiously, looking at Eloise who was picking out flowers. EloiseEdwina smiled, "A friend has a birthday today."

"Oh." Thomas realized, "So are you going to your friend's birthday party?"

"She's not having a birthday party." Eloise paused, "Maybe she even forgot it was her birthday."

Speaking of which, she remembered the phone call Bonnie had made to herself yesterday.

"Aunt Eloise, I'd like to ask you a favour."

"Go ahead."

"My mum's birthday is tomorrow and I'd like to ask you to come over to the house with Solomon and Sweety." Bonnie's voice was laced with a hint of anticipation. She agreed without saying a word.

Eloise chose a bouquet of roses and turned to Thomas to ask his opinion, "What about it? Does it look good?"

Thomas looked at it carefully and nodded, "It looks good."

"That's the one to choose then."

After settling the bill, she walked out of the flower shop with the flowers in her arms.

At that moment, a man walked in front of her and almost bumped into her.

Luckily, Thomas was quick to pull her aside.

She turned her head and watched as the man walked into the florist's shop and said something to the clerk, who then brought a large bouquet of white tulips to the man. The flower of the white tulip was pure, lost love.

Eloise raised her eyebrows, withdrew her eyes and walked towards the car parked at the curb.

Once in the car, Eloise said, "First we'll go home and pick up the two little ones, then you can take us to my friend's house."

Thomas glanced at her in the rear view mirror and nodded, "Okay."

The car started and drove smoothly down the road.

...

Having worked the late shift yesterday and having the day off, Edwina got up early in the morning and started tidying up the house until after three in the afternoon. "Mum, are you doing anything tonight?"

Edwina had just sat down on the sofa to rest when Bonnie immediately came over and asked.

"What's wrong?" Edwina turned her head to look at him.

"Nothing, I was just asking."

"I'm fine, I'll be at home with you." Edwina raised her hand and rubbed his head.

"Good. I'm going to go do my homework."

Bonnie ran into her room and closed the door behind her, so she pulled out her kid's watch and called Eloise. "Bonnie."

Eloise's soft voice came over the line as soon as the call was answered.

Bonnie said quickly, "Aunt Eloise, my mum will be home tonight."

"Good." Eloise glanced at Solomon and Sweety beside her and smiled, "We're on our way to your house now."

"Really?" Bonnie's eyes widened in surprise.

"Well, you'll open the door for us later."

"Okay."

After hanging up the phone, Eloise smiled, "Solomon, Sweety, it's Aunt Edwina's birthday, so remember to say happy birthday to her later, okay?" Solomon and Sweety said back in unison, "Yes."

"Awesome." Eloise smiled and stroked their heads.

Blindfolded, Edwina leaned back on the couch and closed her eyes for a nap.

Just as she was about to fall asleep, the doorbell suddenly rang loudly, waking her up.

As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw Bonnie running out of the room, rushing to answer the door.

She frowned, why was Bonnie so aggressive today?

Bonnie opened the door and the words "Aunt Eloise" were about to come out, but the smile disappeared when she saw the person standing outside the door. "Bonnie, hello." Edwards smiled gently and lightly at the child who only reached his chest.

"Uncle." Bonnie called out politely.

"Bonnie, who is it?" Edwina asked as she approached.

Stunned at the sight of Edwards, she then responded, "What are you doing here?"

She noticed the flowers he was holding in his arms and gave a slight frown.

"I wanted to see your sister." Edwards said.

"Now?"

Edwards nodded, "Well, is that convenient?"

Edwina looked to Bonnie, who looked back at her.

She had promised Bonnie she would stay home with him, and since her sister's grave was a bit of a hike away, it might be late getting back.

After further thought, she declined, "I'm sorry, I'm afraid it's not a good day."

"But I've already bought the flowers." Edwards pleaded, "I'd really like to see Constance, I hope you'll give me a chance."

"It's not that I won't give you a chance, it's that I'm really not up to it today." Edwina felt she had made it clear that inconvenient was inconvenient.

At that moment, Bonnie spoke up, "Mum, just take this uncle to see my great-aunt, I'll be fine at home alone."

"But Mummy has promised to stay at home with you." Edwina pursed her lips and smiled, "I'll do what I promised you."

Bonnie shook her head, "It's okay, just come back early."

"Miss. Edwina, I can't ask a big man to beg you, but I hope you know how I feel."

Looking at Edwards' pleading face, Edwina sighed, "Fine, I'll take you. But I want to get there and back quickly." "Good."

Edwina went back to the house to change her clothes and told Bonnie to stay home before following Edwards out. The car had just stopped in front of the block when Sweety suddenly shouted, "Mummy, it's Aunt Edwina."

Eloise looked in the direction she was pointing and there was Edwina.

She was seen following a man to the car.

"Where is she going?" Eloise frowned in wonder.

"Mummy, are we still having Aunt Edwina's birthday without her?" Solomon asked.

Eloise laughed, "Yes, why not. Come on, let's get out of the car."

Mother and son got out of the car and headed straight for the neighbourhood.

Thomas parked the car and hurried out to follow them.

This was a special situation and he couldn't let anything happen to Miss Eloise again. Their arrival made Bonnie, who had been a little lost, instantly happy.

"Aunt Eloise."

Eloise smiled and stroked his head as she asked, "I saw your mum, where is she going?"
