Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1185: I must go

Since he said he wouldn't, Eloise couldn't say anything else.

"Fine, then I won't mention Edwina in front of you from now on."

Eloise glanced at the papers on his desk and added in passing, "I want to go to the hospital tomorrow to see Grandpa."

"Do you need me to drive you?" Edgar asked.

"No." Eloise pursed her lips, "Cousin, do you know exactly what day Earlene will be back?"

Edgar shook his head, "Don't know yet."

"And does Rawlins know?"

"He doesn't know either. Says Earlene hasn't decided exactly what day she's coming back."

"It's not like he's not coming back, is it?" Eloise couldn't help but worry.

If Earlene didn't come back, all the arrangements they'd made would be for nothing.

"It can't be. Old lady Shangguan is in a bad way, she will definitely come back to see the old lady." Edgar's tone was very certain.

Eloise's thin brows furrowed, "And what exactly does she mean? By not telling Mr Rawlins the exact date of her return, is she planning to come back secretly?" "Possibly."

"What then? If she sneaks back, won't we miss the best chance of saving Hector?"

The more Eloise thought about it the more her mind wandered, "No, I won't allow that to happen."

"Don't get your head in the clouds." Edgar soothed softly, "I've got people at the airport 24 hours a day, and will stop Earlene and Hector as soon as they appear." "That's good." Eloise's hanging heart finally fell back into place.

"You just have to stay home in peace and wait for Hector to return."

Eloise thought for a moment and shook her head, "No, I'm coming with you guys."

She wanted to see Hector first.

However, Edgar didn't approve of her doing so, "There might be a conflict at the scene and I'm afraid it might spill over to you, so it's best if you don't go." "No, I must go."

Eloise's attitude was firm.

Edgar knew her personality well and knew it was useless to persuade her, so he could only say, "Fine then, I'll inform you when the time comes."

As for whether he would inform or not, he would make the decision.

"Okay." Eloise took a deep breath, "Then you get busy, I won't bother you."

She turned and left, and silence returned to the study.

Edgar lowered his eyes, his eyes falling on the spread out papers, but he couldn't read them.

He closed the file with mild annoyance and leaned back in his chair, staring up at the ceiling, a bitter smile curling the corners of his mouth.

Edwina, he said in front of Eloise that she was a breeze, but in fact he still cared about her.

He might replace a chance to meet with Edwina, maybe he could replace the answers he wanted.

...

The next day, Eloise went to the hospital.

She spent some time talking with her mother before going to see the old man.

The old man's face was quite flushed compared to before and he looked as if he was asleep.

"Grandpa." Eloise sat down on the edge of the bed, "I'm Eloise, I've come to see you."

I think he heard her voice and the old man's fingers moved gently.

Eloise looked pleased, "Grandpa, you can hear me, can't you?"

The finger moved again.

Eloise's eyes instantly filled with tears and she raised her hand to wipe them away, "Grandpa, you need to wake up soon, we all miss you so much." She sniffled, "I came here today to talk to you, Hector has been missing for a while and now he's finally been found. But he forgot about me...."

At this point, tears broke out once again.

"It was really, really hard for me, but I was afraid to tell anyone, I was afraid they would worry."

"So I can only come and talk to you to feel better inside."

"But you don't have to worry, Hector is coming back." She wiped her tears and continued, "Even if he forgets about me, I will make him remember me again." She shook the old man's hand and said in a particularly firm tone, "I will make him remember me again!"

Perhaps sensing her determination, the old man's fingers twitched again.

Eloise smiled, "Grandpa, I hope that when Hector comes back, you will wake up too, we are all waiting for you to come home."

...

Eloise returned from the hospital and had just entered the house when she heard Brimlad's anxious voice come through, "How is the man now? Is everything all right?"

She hurriedly followed the direction of the voice and saw Brimlad on the phone, his brow furrowed and looking worried.

Approaching, she asked with a muzzle, "Is something wrong?"

Brimlad waved his hand at her to keep quiet and continued talking to the person on the other end of the phone, "I don't know what to say about you guys, a nice girl comes to your house and becomes a bad person?" I don't know what was said on the other end of the line, but Brimlad laughed coldly, "Come on, don't always blame the girl, think about how bad your Goode is, if word gets out, no girl will dare to marry him!"

"I know, Devona and I will go over and have a look."

With that said, Brimlad hung up the phone.

"What's wrong?" Eloise asked out loud.

Brimlad sighed heavily, "It's not Figge yet."

Eloise frowned, "Beaten up again?"

"Beaten alright, this time it was a miscarriage."

"Miscarriage?" Eloise was shocked, "How did that happen?"

"It wasn't Goode. he was drinking and took it out on Figge. he kicked Figge in the stomach. can you not have a miscarriage?" Talking about it, Brimlad felt it was too much of a sin and his whole face was unpleasant. "It's outrageous! How could he go so far?" Eloise was furious as hell, "Anymore, it's his baby, how can he fight it?"

Brimlad snorted, "Calling him an animal is insulting to animals."

She raised a hand to rub her aching brow, "Right now Figge is in hospital because the baby is a few months old and this miscarriage won't go away and she has to have a curettage, it's too painful." "No, we can't just let it go, Goode has to pay for what he did."

Figge had married Goode at her behest, and she was responsible for what had happened.

She couldn't just let Goode off the hook.

Brimlad frowned, "What are you trying to do again? Your second aunt and uncle knew they were wrong before about Figge, so they didn't look into it.

"Is that all there is to it?" Eloise laughed, "It's a child, a living being, I can't just let it go."

"It's none of your business, your brother-in-law and I will replace a way to fix it." Brimlad really didn't want her to get involved in the affairs of the second house.

Eloise took a deep breath before suppressing the anger in her heart, "Brother-in-law, I just want to do right by Figge and teach Goode a lesson."

A man who beat his wife was truly a man of God.

She really couldn't swallow this anger.
