Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1184: Could you like her?

"What do you want me to help you with?" Edwards asked.

Elva was silent for a few seconds before she spoke, "Brother, do you like that Edwina?"

"What?" Edwards thought he had heard wrong.

"Didn't you say that Edwina was your friend's sister?"

Edwards nodded, "Yeah, but what makes you think I like her?"

"If not, then why are you being so nice to her?"

He'd been mean to Edwina earlier, in defence of her.

He had never been that stern with her since she was a child, which was why she wondered if he liked Edwina.

Edwards lost his smile, "I'm only being nice to her because she's my friend's sister, nothing more."

"Is that so?" Elva was a little incredulous.

"Of course I am." Edwards frowned, "No, aren't you asking me to help you? What does that have to do with whether I like Edwina or not?"

"Well ..." Elva asked cautiously with a twinkle in her eye, "Brother, can you like Edwina? I wouldn't mind her being my sister-in-law."

She was going to marry into the Khan family later anyway.

"Why?" Edwards was puzzled, "Why do you suddenly have such an idea?"

"It's not because she and Edgar are unexplained."

Elva walked over to the bed and sat down, her arms wrapped around her chest with an indignant look on her face.

"Are you thinking about it more than you should?" Edwards didn't believe what she was saying.

The Edwina he knew was definitely not the kind of woman who would get involved with a man.

"Where did I get carried away?" Elva yelled disgruntled, "She's just not sure about Edgar, you're my brother, why don't you believe me?" "It's not that I don't believe it, I just trust the Edwina I know more."

"Brother!" Elva stood up in exasperation, "You know what you know, do you understand?"

"Yes!" Edwards raised an eyebrow, "But I've met so many people, can't I see one person?"

"Well, there are times when you're blind." Elva grunted coldly.

Edwards glanced at his watch and asked, "Well, what exactly did you say you wanted my help with?"

Elva scratched her hair in annoyance, "Didn't I just say that?"

Edwards mused for a moment, "You mean for me to like Edwina, woo her and make her my girlfriend, right?"

Summing up from what she'd said, that would be what she meant.

"Yeah, is that okay?" Elva looked at him with an expectant face.

The corner of Edwards' mouth tugged, "No way."

"Brother!" Elva ran over and grabbed his arm and shook it, "Just take pity on me and help me."

Edwards looked down, only to see her looking at him pitifully.

A sigh escaped his lips and he said helplessly, "Elva, even if I promise to help you, it won't work... Edwina doesn't even like me."

"If she doesn't like it, then you can make her like it. Brother, please."

Faced with his sister's bitter plea, it was really hard to refuse as an older brother.

Edwards sighed and nodded reluctantly, "Okay, I'll help you."

Elva instantly beamed with joy, "Brother, thank you, you really are the best for me."

"Don't rush into that just yet." Edwards raised a hand to stop her, "I can't guarantee I'll get Edwina."

Elva gave him a sour look, "My brother is so good, how can he not catch up?"

Edwards smiled and said nothing more.

If it were any other woman, he could say for sure that he could get her, but Edwina, not so easy.

There was a Bonnie, after all.

...

In the evening, Edgar arrived home.

He had just parked his car when he saw Thomas' car pull up and park next to him.

He unbuckled his seatbelt and opened the door to get out.

"Cousin Prince." Thomas called out respectfully.

Edgar stared at him deeply for a moment before walking up to him and asking in a deep voice, "Do you like Edwina?"

Not expecting him to ask this, Thomas froze, not responding for a moment.

Edgar frowned and asked a different question, "You're after Edwina?"

This time, Thomas responded and scratched the back of his head in embarrassment, "I do like her, but I haven't started yet, I want to wait until the prince returns." Hearing this, Edgar was secretly relieved as he nodded, "That's true, your prince's business has to come first."

"You have said something similar before, in fact I wanted to tell you that the prince will always be foremost in my mind."

Edgar smiled, "That's good."

He walked past Thomas, took a few steps, then paused and turned his head, "Thomas, Edwina is a good girl, if you really like her, you should cherish her."

Thomas looked puzzled, not understanding why he would say such a thing to himself, but politely said back, "Well, I know."

Edgar smiled before walking away.

Thomas thought and thought about it, but still couldn't figure out why he had said something like that.

In the end, he just gave up and assumed Edgar was just saying it off the cuff.

...

After dinner, Eloise went upstairs, walked to the door of the study and knocked on the door.

"Come in."

Eloise pushed the door open and cautiously probed in, raising her voice when she saw the figure sitting at the desk, "Are you busy, cousin?" Edgar looked up, "What do you want?"

Eloise walked in, closing the door softly behind her, and then walked quickly over to the desk.

"I heard from Thomas."

Edgar frowned, "What?"

"It's what you told him to tell him to cherish Edwina."

She was genuinely shocked when Thomas told her.

How she had never expected her cousin to say something like that to Thomas.

It dawned on Edgar, "So that's what it is, what's wrong?"

"Cousin, are you really going to give up?" Eloise asked tentatively as she stared at him intently.

Edgar was silent for a few seconds before he said in a faint voice, "How can you give up when you've never started."

I don't know if it was just her own fault, but she could hear a sense of frustration in his voice.

"Cousin, if you really like it, then go after it." Eloise couldn't really see what he was thinking.

"No." Edgar shook his head, "I just want to manage the company right now so I can give my grandfather an explanation when he wakes up." "Relationships and work are never opposites, they can go hand in hand."

Eloise tried to persuade him, just so he wouldn't regret it later.

Edgar laughed, "You mean Hector and you?"

Eloise nodded, "Yeah."

"That's not the same. I'm no match for Hector, he's so good, I'm not even close."

"Don't think of it that way. In my eyes, you're just as good as him." Eloise soothed.

"Don't reassure me, I know how I am."

Edgar took a deep breath, "You have time to talk me down, you might as well set Thomas and Edwina up."

Eloise bristled, "Then you won't regret it."

"Won't."
