Love Comes To Me
Chapter 126: The Marriage Agreement

Reeva Lawson looked at Egbert Chumley and got straight to the point, "Mr Egbert, you like Eloise Thompson and I like Hector Rogers, why don't we work together to figure out how to get happiness for ourselves?"

Reeva Lawson's words were undoubtedly an offer of an alliance, she helped Egbert Chumley in his pursuit of Eloise Thompson, and it would naturally be in his best interests if the two were to get together, at which Egbert Chumley frowned slightly.

"There's no need for that, Miss Reeva."

With those words, he got straight into his car and left.

Egbert Chumley likes Eloise Thompson, and if Hector Rogers likes Eloise Thompson too, then he knows full well that it's going to be a big rivalry.

But he'll fight for his own happiness, there's no need to team up with Reeva Lawson, and if in the end Eloise Thompson does choose Hector Rogers ... then he'll respect her choice.

Reeva Lawson stood in awe as she watched Egbert Chumley's car leave, and for a moment, her gaze flashed darkly.

I didn't expect Egbert Chumley to turn himself down.

Reeva Lawson clenched her fingers. Why, when two men, both so good, were in love with Eloise Thompson, when she was better than her in every way, was Hector Rogers completely blind?

Reeva Lawson was so angry and blue that she came alone and ended up taking a taxi back home alone.

...

Over here, inside the carriage, Eloise Thompson stared blankly at Hector Rogers. "You ..."

Eloise Thompson was about to get angry, why did this man pull her into the car without saying anything? Could he have been consulted?

She was just about to speak when she met the sombre gaze of Hector Rogers, who pursed his lips and spoke nonchalantly, "You're really getting bold."

Eloise Thompson shrank back at the coldness of the scent, clearly she was supposed to be angry, but at this point, Eloise Thompson was unconsciously wary, moving slightly to the side, keeping as much distance as possible from Hector Rogers.

"I can't understand a word you're saying, Hector Rogers, so let me out of the car."

Egbert Chumley is still waiting for her in front of the hotel!

Hector Rogers grunted coldly and pressed closer to her, his low voice speaking, "Remember? What I said to you last time, don't pretend you don't know me well or next time, I don't know what I'll do ..." Eloise Thompson was startled; naturally she remembered that Hector Rogers had forcibly kissed herself in the bathroom earlier.

This was a car, with a driver in front of him, he couldn't have done anything more horrible! Eloise Thompson, even more abashed by the thought, stammered and asked, "What are you going to do?"

"What do you say?"

Eloise Thompson's face flashed with panic as she watched him get closer and closer to her.

"Don't you come any closer."

Hector Rogers saw her wary face and eventually wasn't joking around.

"Don't worry, I won't do anything to you, at least not until I get you ..."

How could Hector Rogers have touched her here, except that he was upset when he remembered that Eloise Thompson had just pretended not to know her well in the booth and had made contact with Egbert Chumley when he got to the bathroom?

This little girl is really getting bold and Hector Rogers wants to teach her a lesson, but there's no way to do it.

At that, Eloise Thompson became irritated and said with a hint of coldness in her tone, "Why don't you give up? I've made it very clear before that we're not going to see each other again."

Eloise Thompson had thought of leaving while she was in the bathroom, but to her surprise, Hector Rogers came to the bathroom too and dragged her straight to the car.

At those words, Hector Rogers' eyes darkened and he immediately spoke, "No way, Eloise Thompson, are you going to try to run away again, you obviously have feelings for me!"

Eloise Thompson opened her mouth to retort, "I didn't."

When she said this, Eloise Thompson's tone was adequate, but her gaze was a little evasive, especially when she was afraid to look Hector Rogers in the eye.

How could she not like such a wonderful man, and how could she not feel for her.

"You have." Hector Rogers asserted as he continued to speak, "Eloise Thompson, don't you dare look me in the eye and say you don't like me?"

He couldn't believe that Eloise Thompson didn't like him and didn't feel anything for him.

Eloise Thompson was so exasperated that she was speechless and didn't want to argue with him about it anymore because she knew she couldn't.

Turning her head to the side, Eloise Thompson said, "Hector Rogers, what are you going to do to leave me alone? I'm begging you, we're not right for each other, it's impossible for us to be together, don't ever come back to me again." Hector Rogers was silent for a long time, paused, and finally pulled a document from the side.

"It's simple, sign this document and I'll let you off the hook."

Seeing this, Eloise Thompson did not respond for a moment and she spoke up suspiciously asking, "What is this?"

"Since you're breaking clean with the past, pay me back what you owe me!"

Eloise Thompson stiffened, knowing that she was the one who had offered to break off the relationship, but hearing this made her feel a little sad for some reason.

He really did promise to let go, to break cleanly, and yeah, that's good.

Hector Rogers' eyes surveyed Eloise Thompson, taking in the emotion on her face, and all at once, a faint smile flashed in the man's eyes, saying he didn't like himself, what a mouthful of a woman.

Eloise Thompson thought the document was probably some sort of contractual termination with JS Creative Company, after all, if the two were to break off cleanly, there should be no more work dealings. Probably because she'd had too much to drink, Eloise Thompson's head was spinning and she didn't think too much about it as she took the papers and pen and then said, "Yes, I understand."

With that said, Eloise Thompson was about to sign an autograph when Hector Rogers stopped her.

"Don't you want to see it before you sign?" His gaze tightened on her.

"No need."

"Sure you don't regret it?"

The tone was so deliberate that Eloise Thompson vaguely felt something odd, but on second thought, wasn't it just a termination contract? All that would happen is that Layla Davidson would scold her and the bonus would be lost. In short, the immediate thing to do is to cut ties with Hector Rogers.

"Good." Hector Rogers spoke faintly, not stopping Eloise Thompson again.

Signing the contract was like having all her strength drained from Eloise Thompson's body, she felt relieved, but inside she felt like a million ants were biting her and she wanted to cry.

From now on they were truly cut off cleanly, and handing the papers back to Hector Rogers, Eloise Thompson fought back the tears in her eyes and spoke, "Stop the driver at the junction before you!"

Hector Rogers took the papers and the corners of his mouth curled as his low, magnetic voice spoke, "In that case, you are agreeing to marry me?"

This is a marriage agreement.

Eloise Thompson was stunned, her brain short-circuited for a couple of seconds and she woke up instantly.

Looking at Hector Rogers, she stammered out, "What marriage?"
