Love Comes To Me
Chapter 125: The domineering Hector Rogers

Full of wine and food, Eloise Thompson's eyes were slightly drunk.

Although she had just said she would only drink a little, she couldn't help but think back to the day's events as the meal went on, with everyone at the table talking about business matters and her inability to intervene, and Eloise Thompson's heart clogged a little and she could only drink in silence.

After a few glasses, Eloise Thompson's head now feels just a little feverish and her whole body is already a little dazed.

When Hector Rogers looked out, he frowned slightly and spoke inquiringly, "Is everything all right?"

Eloise Thompson shook her head, heavy shadows already appearing in front of her eyes. She should have known better than to drink earlier, and she stood up, ready to go to the bathroom to wash her face. Watching her steps falter a little and almost fall as she reached the door, Egbert Chumley's eyes flashed with concern as he got up and followed her out.

Everyone in the booth couldn't help but look at Hector Rogers, after all, they had just seen that a few people were not on normal terms and now Egbert Chumley followed Eloise Thompson out ...

Reeva Lawson's gaze sank. Throughout the meal, not only did Hector Rogers not say a word to her, but on the contrary, he showed all kinds of concern for Eloise Thompson.

Watching Egbert Chumley walk out, Reeva Lawson couldn't help but speak up, "Mr Egbert looks like he cares about Eloise Thompson!"

Hector Rogers' face was oh so expressionless and said nothing.

...

Once in the bathroom, Eloise Thompson washed her face and felt a lot more awake and almost recovered before she left the bathroom.

Walking outside, Eloise Thompson then took out her phone with the intention of texting Egbert Chumley to tell her she was leaving first.

After all, Hector Rogers was still in there and Eloise Thompson didn't want to go back in and see him, nor did she want to have to endure the odd looks from the crowd.

Just as she pulled out her phone, she saw Egbert Chumley standing in the doorway and heard him ask worriedly, "How are you, are you all right? Is there anything wrong?"

Egbert Chumley knew that Eloise Thompson was not a good drinker and at university she basically stayed away from alcohol.

A little embarrassed, Eloise Thompson pursed her lips and said, "It's okay, it's okay, Alumni, you can count on it!"

Looking at her, still slightly flushed and smelling faintly of alcohol, Egbert Chumley was a little bemused; he had just been talking to the others and hadn't paid much attention to Eloise Thompson, not realising she'd had so much to drink. "I should have known I shouldn't have brought you here earlier."

Eloise Thompson smiled and stated, "It's okay Alumni, I'll hold out."

As she was walking, Eloise Thompson broke her foot and almost fell over, and Egbert Chumley subconsciously reached out to help her.

"Is everything okay?"

The two men were close together in a position that looked somewhat ambiguous.

Just then, Hector Rogers approached, looking like he had come to the bathroom. Looking at the two men in front of him, Hector Rogers' eyes flashed with a hint of danger.

Noticing his approach, Eloise Thompson stood firm and kept a distance from Egbert Chumley, somehow feeling like a thief.

Hector Rogers had little reaction and walked into the bathroom with a blank face.

Watching his back disappear, Eloise Thompson looked back. Mentally, she couldn't help but feel that she was too indecisive again, what was there to feel guilty about, it wasn't as if she and Hector Rogers had only seen each other. After a pause, Eloise Thompson spoke with some embarrassment, "Mr Egbert, I'm fine, I'm just a little dizzy, sorry! Can I go back now?"

Egbert Chumley nodded and did not refuse.

"Well, go and wait for me at the door, I'll go inside and say hello and take you back later."

"No, go on in and keep chatting with the headmaster and the others, I can go back."

Eloise Thompson felt that it didn't seem right to leave early, but Egbert Chumley spoke insistently, "I asked you to come to the school festival, so how could I let you go back alone, and besides, the meal inside is almost over, so go wait for me downstairs! I'll be right there."

Eloise Thompson wanted to say more, but Egbert Chumley was gone.

She had no choice but to walk to the door and wait for Egbert Chumley.

Eloise Thompson rubbed her brow, her head still a little groggy, and glanced at the hotel door, thinking that after today, there would be no more dealings with Hector Rogers.

Eloise Thompson closed her eyes and sighed, just as a car brushed up in front of her and before she could react, the man inside stepped down and dragged her into the car.

The whole time Eloise Thompson was dumbfounded, caught off guard, and only when she looked back did she realise that it was Hector Rogers who had brought him to the car, and that he was currently sitting on his side, that mellow voice speaking up to the driver in front of him and instructing, "Drive."

Eloise Thompson: "????"

What a situation!

Without giving her any reaction, the car had already started and left.

...

Over here, Reeva Lawson sits in the booth, her face a little hard.

I thought I would be able to get Hector Rogers alone today for the school day and have something happen between the two, but to my surprise, Eloise Thompson also showed up at the school day. Hector Rogers' mind was all over her own for the rest of the day, almost ignored by Hector Rogers, and the people in the booth, looking at themselves as if they were watching a joke. Reeva Lawson felt like a jumped-up clown.

Looking at the time, Hector Rogers had been gone for a long time, as had Eloise Thompson, Reeva Lawson frowned slightly, grabbed her purse and said hello before leaving the booth. Reeva Lawson went to look around the restrooms, but there was no sign of Hector Rogers, and for a moment, she had a bad feeling in her heart.

On arriving at the car park, it was discovered that Hector Rogers' car had already driven away.

Reeva Lawson's face turned ugly as Hector Rogers left without her, most likely with Eloise Thompson.

Clenching her fingers tightly, Reeva Lawson was so angry that she wanted to kill Eloise Thompson with a thousand cuts.

Eventually she had no choice but to leave the car park and Reeva Lawson arrived at the hotel entrance just in time to bump into Egbert Chumley.

With no sign of Eloise Thompson, Egbert Chumley frowned slightly and was thinking of dialling Eloise Thompson when he bumped into Reeva Lawson. "Mr Egbert, looking for Miss Eloise? I'm afraid she's gone!"

Seeing Reeva Lawson here alone, Egbert Chumley probably understood in his heart that Eloise Thompson had presumably been taken by Hector Rogers, and at once his face changed slightly. Reeva Lawson stepped forward, smiled and asked, "I assume the person Mr Egbert was referring to in his speech today was Miss Eloise? She's the one you've been fond of all these years?" Instead of answering Reeva Lawson's question, Egbert Chumley spoke up and asked, "Is there anything else for Miss Reeva? If not, I'll leave you to it."
