Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1261: It's my Earlene's husband!

For the past two days, Hector hadn't seen Elo.

To be more precise, it would be Elo who was avoiding him.

This afternoon, he went to the backyard and tried to replace her for a chat.

But as soon as she saw him, she ran away, running to her room and hiding.

He couldn't help but frown; had Earlene said something to her again?

As much as he wanted to replace her and ask her about it, seeing how she was avoiding herself, he knew that she definitely didn't want him to go to her anytime soon. He had to give up and went upstairs.

Eloise opened the door and looked to her left and right, but there was no sign of the figure she had been missing all day and night.

A hint of disappointment crossed her eyes.

Closing the door behind her, she hung her head and a heavy sigh escaped her lips.

All this time, she had to avoid him, because Earlene had someone watching her all the time.

If she found out that she was seeing Hector in private, she would be thrown out of the Bartram family.

So she had to resist the urge to see him and stay docile in the backyard flower room.

"Learn to be patient and learn to wait for your chance."

That was what Rawlins had told her.

She knew that the first few times she had been too eager, she had made Earlene defensive of herself.

And now, all she had to do was slowly get Earlene to let her guard down.

There would be a chance.

Eloise told herself that in her mind.

Back upstairs, Hector went to the study.

Earlene was in the study working on some work and as soon as she saw him enter, she put down the papers in her hands, the corners of her mouth curved up and asked softly, "What's wrong?" Hector shook his head, "Nothing, just a bit bored."

He walked over to her, glancing in passing at the file she was just reading.

"Reading a business case?"

"Yeah. The group's skin care line has a new product out and this is a marketing plan."

At this point, Earlene frowned, "I'm not happy with the proposal, though."

"Can I see it?" Hector asked.

"Yes."

Earlene handed him the proposal.

Hector skimmed through it carefully, his good-looking sword frowning, "This is a new product, is it appropriate to get a celebrity endorsement to promote it right off the bat?" "Wouldn't it be appropriate?" Earlene asked instead of answering.

HectorEdwina gave a smile, "Yes, it is a little inappropriate. After all, it's a new product and you can't get the publicity if you get the usual celebrities to endorse it, but it's too expensive if you get the biggest stars." Earlene was a bit stunned when he didn't expect him to really analyse it.

But on second thought, he was the chairman of Rogers Group and had been in the business for many years, so how could such a simple marketing plan be difficult for him?

"So what do you think should be done?" Earlene asked.

"Well ..." Hector pondered for a moment. "Isn't this the age of self-publishing?"

Earlene nodded, "Yes, indeed."

"We could start by replaceing a few quality self-publishers and asking them to post ad copy, I think that would get more publicity than hiring a third-tier star."

"But wouldn't that be a bit low grade just to replace self-publishers to promote it?"

In Earlene's mind, compared to hiring a celebrity to endorse the product, self-promotion is indeed a bit low grade, and if the publicity is not good, the product will become a micro business product. "Once you get the product out there and make it known, you can hire celebrity endorsements again."

Earlene thought hard for a moment before nodding, "I trust you."

Hector smiled, "Do I make you that trustworthy?"

"Of course." Earlene lifted her chin and said proudly, "I've always had a lot of faith in my eyes."

"After all, you believe in yourself." Hector sighed in mock disappointment.

"No, I do believe in you." Earlene wrapped her arms around him, her tone tinged with a hint of petulance, "I really do believe in you."

Hector broke out laughing, "Okay, I believe you."

Earlene beamed, "That's good."

She looked at the other projects on her desk and her eyes lit up, "Hector, since you're bored, why don't you look over the projects for me and let me know if you have any insights." "May I?"

After all, it was a company secret and Hector was a little hesitant to look at it himself.

"Of course." Seeing his concern, Earlene said, "When we get married, you'll be my husband, the Bartram family, and there's nothing wrong with that."

At the mention of marriage, Hector's brow furrowed slightly and his lips twitched, wanting to ask if the marriage could be postponed.

But in the end, he didn't say.

Seeing how she was glowing, he didn't want to spoil her fun.

"I'll take a look at it for you, then."

Hector pulled up a chair and sat next to her, reading the proposal with her.

Earlene turned her head and took in his serious look, the corners of her mouth turning up and her heart fluttering with a slight sweetness.

If she could, she would like him to stay with her like this for the rest of her life.

Of course, she was about to get that wish.

Hector spent the afternoon in the study with Earlene, while Eloise sat on the floor of the flower room, staring at the flowers.

As darkness fell, the Rawlins returned home.

As usual, he asked in passing, "Where's Miss?"

The butler took the suit jacket he had taken off and returned, "In the study with Prince Hector all afternoon."

"And where is Elo?" Rawlins asked again.

"She's been good in the backyard all day."

At that, Rawlins was secretly relieved; it seemed she had listened to herself.

Following that, he went upstairs to the door of the study.

The door was not closed tightly, but left a crack.

As he reached out to push it open, Earlene's voice came out.

"Hector, you really are a business whiz, you can think of the best one for whatever proposal."

Hearing this, Rawlins pushed the door open and stepped inside.

Only to see Hector sitting right behind his desk, looking down at his papers.

His brow furrowed fiercely as he walked over quickly and questioned out loud, "Earlene, how can you let look at our company's business plan?"

At these words, Earlene and Hector looked up at the same time.

"Can't I?" Earlene asked back.

"Of course not. He's..."

Rawlins met Hector's bewildered look and paused.

"He's what?" Earlene rose, a sneer curling the corners of her mouth, "Are you trying to say he's the chairman of the Rogers Group?"

Rawlins didn't make a sound.

He did want to say that, but it suddenly occurred to him that he had lost his memory and didn't remember who he was.

So even if he had read the business case it wouldn't have mattered.

Earlene narrowed her eyes, "Rawlins, please remember that that is who he used to be. From now on, his only identity is that of my Earlene's husband!" Rawlins looked at her silently for a long moment before speaking slowly, "Is that so? You really think you're going to get married?"

"Of course." Earlene said back, with certainty.
