Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1273: Isn't it too shameless

"Long time no see." Eloise looked at him with a smile Brimlad, a hint of tenderness rippling through her pretty eyes.

Hector slowly stood up, his eyes locking onto her small face, "What brings you here?"

Eloise raised her eyebrows and asked instead of answering, "What do you think?" He... How would he know?

Hector twitched his lips, wanting to say something when a surprised voice came.

"Hector, it's really you!"

A middle-aged woman came to him and grabbed his hands straight away, her face full of surprise.

"This is..." Hector looked to Eloise in confusion.

"She's my brother-in-law and your sister-in-law." Eloise gazed deeply at him.

"Aunt-in-law?" Hector locked his brow, his mind going completely blank on the middle-aged woman.

Seeing that he didn't remember her, a hint of disappointment flashed in Brimlad's eyes as she let go of his hand and sighed, "You really have forgotten all about Eloise and me." Hearing the accusation in her words, Hector subconsciously apologised, "I'm sorry."

At that, the smile on Eloise's face froze, and seeing the look of guilt on his face made her feel a little uncomfortable, "It's not your fault, no need to apologise."

Brimlad looked Hector up and down, his brow slowly tightening, "If you didn't look exactly like Hector, I'd have suspected you weren't him."

How much Hector loved Eloise was obvious to Brimlad and the others.

None of them were quite convinced that Hector could forget about Eloise.

Now that they had seen it with their own eyes, they were sure that Hector had really lost his memory.

Brimlad pulled Eloise to him, "Look at her, do you really not remember who she is?"

Hector looked at Eloise and shook his head, "No, I can't remember."

"She was your wife and the woman you loved most, think about it again."

Hector struggled to recall his memories of Eloise, but no matter how hard he tried, his mind still went blank.

Finally, he shook his head, "I'm sorry, I really can't remember."

"You! You child." Brimlad wanted to be angry but couldn't, he could only sigh heavily, "What a sin, Earlene is a real sin."

Earlene was trying on her wedding dress in the fitting room, the shop assistant helping to zip up the back with a hint of awe in her eyes. "Miss Earlene, this wedding dress looks really beautiful on you, and your fiancé would be particularly stunned and delighted if he saw it."

"Is that so?" Earlene looked down at the wedding dress on her body and her heart couldn't help but feel a little excited.

Would it really be as stunning as the shop assistant had said that Hector would think when he saw it?

She took a deep breath, raised her hand, and with a swish, pulled back the curtain.

"Hector!" she cried shyly, but her face went white with a swish when she saw Eloise beside Hector.

She picked up the hem of her skirt and walked quickly over to him.

"What are you doing here?" She stepped in front of Hector, glaring at Eloise with a defensive look on her face.

Eloise looked much more calm than her nervousness, her eyes slowly working their way down from her face, sizing her up, the corners of her mouth curling, "Beautiful wedding dress." "Eloise, what exactly do you mean?"

Her calmness made the unease in Earlene's heart grow wider and wider, the fingertips gripping the hem of her dress unconsciously tightening.

Eloise lifted her head and looked at her with a bland gaze, the curve of her mouth deepening a little, "I've come to replace my husband."

Earlene's eyes narrowed and she said sternly, "He is no longer your husband."

"Oh?" Eloise raised an eyebrow, "But legally we are clearly legally married."

With that, her gaze went to Hector, who was behind Earlene, and her expression softened considerably, "He is my husband, I can't be mistaken." Hector met her affectionate gaze and his heart Edwina a flutter.

"No, he's not your husband!" Earlene's voice sharpened as if that was the only way to prove she was right.

Eloise laughed, "Earlene, if you say he isn't, he isn't? As long as he hasn't divorced me, he can't marry you."

What she hated most was her seemingly breezy attitude, Earlene laughed angrily and sarcastically, "Eloise, he's not the Hector you know, he's the Hector I worked so hard to save, he's mine."

Eloise squeezed the handle of her bag and stared dead at Earlene who couldn't hide her smugness.

Brimlad couldn't listen any longer, she looked at Earlene incredulously, "Earlene, why are you like this now?"

Earlene looked at her askance, tilting her chin up arrogantly, "I've always been like this."

"Really? Then you've got a lot on your mind." Brimlad shook his head and sighed, "I always thought you were a good girl, but I never thought you'd do something this hurtful."

Earlene didn't say anything.

Brimlad continued, "The man behind you is Eloise's rightful husband. Isn't it shameful of you to do whatever it takes to take someone away?"

"Auntie!" Earlene was furious, she glared at Brimlad, "Just because I respect you doesn't mean you can talk nonsense!"

"I'm nonsense?" Brimlad burst out laughing, she looked around at the shop assistants and other customers who were looking over her shoulder and suddenly raised her voice, "Gentlemen, I'm afraid you don't know what she used to steal someone else's husband, let me tell you all about it today!"

Earlene's face paled and she sternly questioned, "What are you trying to do?"

"Scared?" Brimlad asked, whirling around and laughing, sneering, "What are you afraid of, aren't you justified?"

Earlene strained her face, blushing in a particularly ugly way.

She could lose face, but the Bartram family's face could not be lost.

"Give the man back to Eloise and we'll forget about this." Brimlad said.

"No way!" Earlene blurted out, not giving it a second thought.

Brimlad narrowed his eyes, "Then I'll spread the word about what you've done, so that the whole of Kyoto, if not the whole country, will know what you've done."

"You're threatening me?" Earlene narrowed her eyes.

Brimlad curled his lips in a smile, "Yes, I am threatening you. I think Granny Bartram would be furious if she knew you'd done something that humiliating."

At that, she said, "Ah," "By the way, is the old lady well?"

Earlene was no fool, how could she not hear her threat?

She glared at the smiling Brimlad with hatred.

How could she possibly be willing to give someone back when she had managed to get Hector to her side?
